The Buddha used sea foam as a metaphor for the Universe. All existing things rise like a bubble through the water, float for a time on the surface, then subside back into the Great Medium. Nothing, he posited, was ever "created" or "destroyed," it simply changed into different states of existence.
I tell to agree with this view and find that quantum physics particularly confirms this idea. I further add to the quantum view the Electric Universe hypothesis that the Universe is suffused with and operates via an all-pervasive and infinite electro-magnetic force. Since the Universe appears to have rules and follow certain formulae, I conclude that the Universe is on the whole a Rational Individual, which some may choose to call God or Allah or the Great Nothingness. All things exist because the Universe's rules make them not only possible, but probable.
Life exists because the Universe exists. Life is sentient because the Universe is sentient. Life is self-aware because the Universe is self-aware. In a sense, there is no "individual," there is only the Universe extant in various forms that are created by the rules.
What gets me on this track is the rather large number of articles, discoveries and inspirations of late that seem to be infusing all media. There appears, to my mind at least, a growing awareness of something much larger than our comparatively minuscule existence.
It is not so much of a single idea or discovery that is changing things, as much as it is an overall adjustment to the Collective Point Of View. From the individual up to the global, we all seem to be changing perspectives, particularly about what we find important and meaningful.
This Change is currently showing up in our common culture as a Populist Wave, aided and abetted by what appears to be a substantial change in the revelation of scientific discovery. I choose the word "revelation" advisedly, since I firmly believe that much of what is leaking into the Popular Mind has been known at some level for a long time, not the least of which was Buddha's ancient observations.
One should note that I am not talking about shifts between political or religious ideologies. Rather, I am referring to the Common Culture rising above those ideologies to something more profound and...well, Universal.
People are not usually aware of great changes when they are in the midst of them. We generally recognize the profundity of events after they have passed and we can assess the effect they have had on the future. I would say, though, that most people are aware of something big when it happens, though we are generally incapable of knowing just how big they are without perspective.
What I perceive is a collective move away from "leaders" and "authority," to a more holistic definition of "freedom" and "liberty."
When I watch the videos of Social Justice Warriors (SJW), I sense that these are people incapable of dealing with personal freedom and liberty. They have a burning desire to follow, and to force others to do the same. They have herd minds and are horrified at the idea of being a herd of one. If every individual is a "leader" and "authority," they panic because they don't know whom to follow. To them, a world of individuals is unacceptable chaos and they are truly terrified by the prospect.
We see the same phenomenon on large scales, too. I believe that the current lashing-out of Islam, among others, is similar on a group scale to the angry, wailing SJW. Not only is the institution of Islam itself afraid to give up control, its adherents are afraid to be uncontrolled. The violent reaction is an attempt to re-establish authority because both the group and the individuals define themselves by controlling and being controlled.
I only single out Islam because it is the most visible. The Vatican has been trying to reassert itself and people like Vladimir Putin has been trying to regain control for the Orthodoxy.
Governments, too, have been desperately raking followers back into the fold. The EU and US have been in desperation mode, trying to lock down control over their perceived empires. China is in a sheer panic because its entire raison d'ĂȘtre is in danger of collapsing.
What is happening - and has been for centuries - is an apotheosis. Individuals are slowly realizing that God is not "out there" with a set of codified "Thou Shants" that control our every movement. Rather, we exist as constructs of Universe's Rules. We are not separate; we are manifestations. There is no God "out there; we and all we perceive are God.
Granted, this process of apotheosis has been long and arduous. It is a clash of the most fundamental aspects of Weltanschauungs. It is an ultimate battle between Esoteric and Exoteric forces. It is the collision of Gnostic and Agnostic. The division is so profound, so fundamental, that it is now beginning to affect macroscopic organizations across the planet.
This concept is so large that I am only beginning to express it as more than just a feeling. I can now see large-scale effects in the global society, as I think most people can now do. The Populist Wave is not a new form of "leadership" or "authority," it is a complete rejection of those concepts and a desire to pursue one's own direction.
We now have the most powerful tool ever devised by our species at our fingertips. We have the collected sum of Humanity's experiences and ideas within seconds of having a thought or idea. We can instantly connect with about half of the human species in moments, and the number is growing daily. From Buddha to Berdyaev, we can each stand on the shoulders of giants while moving little more than our fingers and eyeballs.
The question is not whether this movement will fail. It is far too late for that. Rather, how fast will it begin to move? It is quite obvious that the Controllers and the Authorities are losing, and the pace is rapidly accelerating. It's as if Humanity is stepping into the daylight after years of living in a prison of our own making.
What will we do with our freedom?

Big Wheel Keep On Turnin'
My journey to liberation from religion ironically began with a man and a book, both having to do with Christian monasticism. At the age of 21, having completed a world tour by backpack, I felt the need to contemplate my experience and assimilate what I had learned. It was at that point I found myself living in New Mexico, where I joined the Monaster of Christ in the Desert as a postulant in the Benedictine order.
It was in the monastery that I encountered Thomas Merton and the Philokalia, not for the first time, but in far greater depth than I had done in the past.
Monasticism has always appealed to me, even from my youngest recollections. I refer you to my essay on solitude back in December 2012. I love being alone, not all the time, but for extended periods for recentering my mind and spirit.
The Buddhists have a symbol for this recentering. It is a wagon wheel. The first layer of meaning is that the spokes are paths to Enlightenment (the hub), and there are many of them. The important part of the metaphor is that all paths are connected to the hub. There is no one path that is more important than another, and the hub is the same for all of them. Furthermore, they are all connected at the outside, as well as the inside, because they all begin with the same questions.
Back to Merton. In Merton's later life, he spent a great deal of time in dialogue with Buddhists trying to reconcile Christianity (with a big 'C') to Buddhism. In front of Merton's hermitage in Kentucky is a simple sculpture he made with a wagon wheel at the base of a cross. It is a profound meditation for something so simple, and it calls to mind the Celtic crosses of my ancestors, which is what first caught my eye.
Reading Merton led me to delve into Buddhism. It is there that I came to the inescapable conclusion that true Christianity and Buddhism are inextricably linked. There are so many parallels between the Christ and the Buddha that it begs the question, "Are they the same philosophy?"
I say "philosophy" because the two paths are, in their purest forms, more systems of thought and action, rather than 'faiths', as we commonly call them now. Both are paths to achieve personal godhood. Buddha clearly stated that if one follows the path, one will achieve Nirvana, or a god-like state of being. Jesus plainly said the same thing, telling his followers that they could do everything he did and more if they follow the path.
I could go on and on about how both the Buddha and the Christ journeyed into the wilderness, met three temptations, chose 12 apostles, and preached nearly identical sermons, but I don't want to ruin your own journey into liberation.
This does, however, lead us to the Philokalia, which is a book(s). The title means "love of beauty". It is a collection of writings by Eastern Orthodox monks dating from AD300 to AD1400, and later assembled into a single collection in the 1700s. Most Christians have not read these writings, since they are primarily encountered in the contemplative life of monasteries. Many of the writings are very similar to Zen koans, short stories designed to give the student a 'eureka' moment after due reflection. Others are long dissertations on various aspects of the Christ and what it means to be Christian.
A thorough reading of the Philokalia will leave the student with the firm conviction that christianity [sic] is a horrible bastardization of the true teachings, at best, and a vicious apostasy designed to destroy Truth, at worst.
You see, in real Christianity, there are no 'saved' and 'unsaved' souls. The Christ came to redeem all Humanity in all places at all times. All humans are now saved and have been for the last 2,000 years. What we are left with are adepts and students. There is no need to be 'reborn', that was done for all time at the point the Christ died. The Old Testament and Original Sin were all abolished at that moment. There is no need for a place called "Israel" because now the entire Earth IS Israel. There is no single chosen people. Now all Humanity is the Chosen. The Second Coming is not some event that will happen at the end of the world, but rather the awakening of the Christ within each human on their journey to Enlightenment.
All the arguments over virgin births, resurrections and transfigurations are completely pointless. They have nothing to do with the true message. They are, in fact, add-ons from old mystery religions and so-called pagan faiths. They serve no purpose but to obscure and mislead.
In fact, there is no need for 'faith' because there is no illogical non-sequitur to overcome. Like Buddhism, Christianity is a clear path to a real outcome that uses reason and hard work to achieve. Everyone can do it if they apply themselves and seek true teachings. No hocus-pocus about it. Any one of several paths will lead the student to the hub, just as the wagon wheel and Celtic cross imply.
Into this very long history of Truth, dating from 500BC to present, comes a convicted felon and roust-about by the name of Cyrus Scoffield. Among his various money-making schemes was tent revivals, where he would fleece unsophisticated folk of their hard-earned money while preaching about Jay-zus. At one point, he was approached by a shadowy group of lawyers and banksters to write a version of the Bible that linked Old and New Testaments in highly questionable ways using translations and interpretations that were, at best, misguided.
It is from this so-called Scoffield Bible that we get the ideas of 'dispensation' and 'rapture'. These two ideas are completely antithetical to the thousands of years of thought and scholarship that preceded Scoffield. How can a select group of 'believers' be saved while the rest of humanity is doomed, when the Christ sacrifice saved all Humankind for all times and in all places?
Nevertheless, these egregious heresies caught on because they appealed to that distinctly American idea of 'exceptionalism'. This idea that America and Americans are somehow special and given of God to show the world how things are done mixed rather well with the idea of being part of a select group of 'saved' individuals. It appealed to the ego and made adherents feel as if they were part of an exclusive club ordained by God and sent to change the world.
And change it they have. The history of the world since the introduction of 'dispensationalism' and 'rapture' has been one of slaughter, mayhem and the destruction of civil society. The christians who bought into this heresy felt relieved of their responsibility to act Christian. They could now wreak havoc on the world with the idea that they would be pulled up into the sky with Jay-zus to watch the results of their handiwork from a safe distance.
The Scoffield interpretation also meant that a political state called Israel had to be called into existence and a third temple be built in order to foster in the Age of the Antichrist and the End of the World.
Stop for a minute and consider just how sick and horrifying this is. Here you have millions of people deluded into thinking the Second Coming is an event at the end of the world, that the timing of this event can be forced by meeting certain criteria, and that no amount of bloodshed and horror should be spared to achieve it because, Hey! We're saved and will be raptured out without having to suffer the horrors we created to get here.
Sick. Horrifying. Disgusting.
So, what does all this have to do with why I dislike and distrust religion? Glad you asked.
All religions everywhere are nothing more than institutions of control in which some elite, based on private revelations that can never be confirmed objectively, tell their followers what to think and how to act. When it is benign, religion can be positive and a good thing, but throughout human history, we have seen that any time an organization gains sufficient power over enough people, in steps a nefarious group of elites willing to exploit the unquestioning 'faith' of the followers.
This sort of blind faith is dangerous in any case and at all times. Demagoguery appeals to emotions, not reason. It is the antithesis of the Christ and the Buddha. It is, in point of fact, the Antichrist.
What truly amazes me is that the followers of this State Religion are warned constantly against being fooled by the Antichrist who will set up a world religion and deceive millions of believers, and yet they are the millions who have been deceived. And they fail to see the very thing for which they are to be ever-watchful. It is the ultimate slight-of-hand.
The purpose for all this is very simple. A group of lawyers and banksters chose a particularly charismatic con man, dictated the appropriate translations and interpretations they wanted to him. Then they supported, bia generous donations, any preacher and institution that promoted this heresy in order to spread it far and wide.
The goal was to establish a secular state called Israel that could be used to commit the most heinous acts of barbarism, and do it all with impunity with the full faith and support of millions of people. All of it was simply a means to take over the world behind the curtain of religion using an army of true believers who would do anything to achieve the goal while believing that they would be immune both from harm and Final Judgement because they were doing the work of Jay-zus.
Truly diabolical in its simplicity.
The remedy is equally as simple: go back and read the ancient practitioners who founded the Christian philosophy. Reading the Philokalia and early Church fathers awakens one to the truth of what the student must learn and understand. Following the example of thinkers such as Thomas Merton, who saw the link between the Buddha and the Christ, opens one's eyes to just how far off the True Path we have wandered.
What separates humans from lower animals is our facility for abstract reasoning and our ability to rise above mindless emotion. Once we have learned to think and control our emotions, we are ready to leave the outside of the wheel and journey inward to the hub. Where we embark on this journey does not matter. There are a thousand ports. What matters is the destination - the triumph of the Mind over Matter.
If the results of our beliefs are death, destruction and the lack of guilt due to feelings of superiority, then we are most certainly on the wrong path. Any religion that preaches immorality as a means to an end, and absolution from guilt because the ends will justify the means, is a vicious and diabolical system appealing to the emotions rather than the intellect.
Morality is absolute and does not need a vengeful and judgmental god to enforce. We know instinctively what is right and wrong, but we derail that instinct when we follow elitist leaders who preach that our immorality will be justified in the end by the triumph of doctrine over simple, pure Truth. This is nothing more than arguing that immorality is the path to true morality. In fact, they are mutually exclusive and can never be reconciled under any amount of 'faith'.
The hub of the wheel is the source of Life. A religion that promotes bloodlust, destruction and Death cannot lead to that place. Furthermore, any belief that requires the death and suffering of billions of people in order to prove its validity is, by definition, wrong.
In the end, I cannot follow or advocate any religion that requires blind obedience to self-appointed elite whose only authority is unverifiable personal revelations. On top of that, the True Path is the one that leads to Life, and the student cannot follow those who justify death and destruction to get there. Therefore, I have no use for 'religion' and 'faith'. The Path is self-evident and self-guiding. It does not need elite leaders and preachers. It does not require 'faith' in non-sequiturs and illogical assumptions as a means of achieving Enlightenment.
Great minds, such as the Buddha and the Christ, have shown us what we can achieve, and dared us to go even farther. They achieved their greatness without churches and preachers and elite of any kind. In fact, they shunned those things every chance they got. Both advocated solitude and quiet, not loud music and lots of halleluiahs. They rejected political states and secular organizations. They taught that the Path was not blind obedience, but self-actualization.
Most importantly, they told us that the Path was already inside each of us. We need only find it and start down it. To do that, we had to be quiet and listen.

Why Monks Chant
Let's see...less than a week ago, the heads of Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and others go to the Bilderberg meeting, and now we see that the NSA is teaming up with internet providers to track and trace your every online move. Still have doubts who pulls the strings in this world?
I like George Ure's idea (urbansurvival.com). We need to file a class-action suit against all the governments of the world in the ICC, on behalf of all the real people in the world, for gross violation of every Natural Law there is and stomping all over us real people.
Government...the deadliest force known to Man.

About 2500 years ago, the Buddha postulated that the real Universe is composed of something like sea-foam. When a vibration enters it, a bubble emerges, which we call 'matter.' It exists for a time, then pops and returns to the foam.
Quantum physics has come to the same conclusion, using brute force and big, expensive toys. We can stipulate that the Buddha didn't have scanning electron microscopes and Large Hadron Colliders, I think.
If you put metal filings on a piece of wax paper with nothing underneath, and then take a tuning fork and touch it to the center, you'll see all the filings clump together in a vibrating pattern. That is the macro version of the micro Universe. Of course, macro and micro are all a mater of perspective. So, when a vibration (or wave) enters the Cosmic Aether, it clumps together and forms the things that we perceive through our five senses. As long as the vibration keeps up, the 'matter' will exist to our senses. Once the music stops, the 'matter' ceases to be and the filings all just slump back into the Aether.
Light, being both a wave (vibration) and 'matter,' is the creator of all things that we sense. We are, truly, beings of light. The reason we can't see beyond the 'speed of light,' and our mathmatics goes to hell in a hand-basket at that point, it that we enter the realm of Creation. Beyond the 'speed of light' is the 'sea foam.' Past that, we can't imagine in our limited existence as 'sensory' beings. But we can experience the effects of vibrations.
Music soothes the savage breast, we always say. I'm picking up strange vives, the hippies would opine. And experience sent chills down our spines. The power of words, as we writers know, are the vibrations that they create.
Words are vibrations, and so have vast amounts of latent power waiting to be released.
Photons vibrate our retinas, and that's why we see. Sounds vibrate our ear drums, and that's why we hear. Textures vibrate our fingertips, and that's why we feel. Odors vibrate our silia, and that's why we smell. Essences vibrate our taste buds, and that's why we taste.
When people and organizations do good things, it creates harmonic vibrations that affect everything around them. People like Mother Theresa and Gandi and others created positive vibrations that caused others to move in harmony.
People like Obama, Shrub and Hitler, like many others create sour vibrations, and that in turn causes irritation and bad reactions around them.
That's how the Bastards are destoying our world. They know about vibrations. They know that if you send the right frequencies into the Universe, you can create 'anti-matter' that destroys 'matter' in cataclysms. It's the same as magicians speaking magic incantations and tapping with their wands. They are making vibrations that create other things.
We've all noticed how children and animals gravitate to some people, but won't go near others. They are sensitive to the vibrations of others and know which ones are putting out positive 'noise' and which are not. When we become adults, we tell ourselves that is non-sense and stop listening to those vibrations, but we still feel them. "I felt it in my gut," we say.
Surly you've noticed how some noises put you to sleep, but others will keep you awake all night. Or maybe some music makes you feel dreamy and reminiscent, while others make you angry and agitated. Changing our mood is as easy as changing the station.
It's why we fall in love.
So, at this point, you're asking, "What's your point?"
Glad you asked. You see, all our governments and financial systems and media have got us surrounded with bad, if not downright evil vibrations. It's making us all whacky and irritated and wanting to go to war. They know it. That's why they are doing it. It's coming through all the media. That's why I tell you to turn it off.
The other part of that is that we can change things just by changing the vibrations we put out. In acting, we call it "The Method." You recall a situation that gave you a certain feeling, then you transfer that vibration onto the situation at hand. The really outstanding actors, like Gary Oldman, can do it so well that you can't recognize them in different roles. You can have bad days and good days just by changing the vibrations you put out.
Try this: start listening to music that only makes you feel dreamy. Turn off the TeeVee, there's nothing there of any positive value. Try to surround yourself with positive things, like favorite foods, good smells, soft things, pleasing pictures.
As you do this, start noticing the way other people react around you. I'm willing to bet that if you are feeling 'groovy,' others will pick up on it and start behaving the same way.
Change your vibration, and you can have a far-reaching effect on everything around you.
Next time you go to vote, think about which candidate made you feel most positive. Don't listen to the words, feel the vibration. You won't choose the front-runner, I guarantee it (especially if you turn off the TeeVee). Who gives you the most positive feeling? That's the best choice (if you are not swamped with media hype).
The Buddha taugh us about karma. Whatever vibration you put out into your environment, that is what you will get back from your environment. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
It's all about the vibrations...

Maelstrom
It's been one year since the Gulf of Mexico was murdered.
It's over a month since the Pacific Ocean was murdered.
It's been several weeks since the West started slaughtering wholesale the citizens of Libya, Nigeria and Cote d'Ivore.
Everywhere you look, there are occult symbols being manipulated and events swirling around. Next week, King Arthur will be resurrected and the Jacobites and the Sophians will be re-united. The Grail descendency will be re-born and everything we are seeing is a bunch of royals behind the scenes practicing their dark arts to celebrate the rise of the House of David.
In effect, we are seeing the rise of the anti-Christ.
I know. Your eyes just glazed over and you just tuned out, right? Well, everything you know is wrong, so forget that.
First of all, all that is known as christianity is wrong. It's a blend of Judaism and Roman paganism that Saul of Demascus created to, in effect, export the Hebrew religion to the Gentiles. And unless you've spent many hourse studying to true, ancient astrology, then you may not really understand what all is going on.
Let's see if I can give a brief overview. As the Earth spins around on a yearly basis, the Vernal Equinox ends up pointing at a certain zodiac sign. The thing is, that as the Earth spins, it precesses ever-so-slowly, so that the north celestial pole rotates in a full circle every 26,000 years. One result is that the Vernal Equinox progresses through the signs of the zodiac, so that every 2,300 (or so) it points to a different sign.
In Biblical times, it pointed to Taurus, which is why the Hebrews kept building bulls to worship. In every Age (determined by the sign in which the Vernal Equinox occurs), the occultists worship the new sign. The belief is that at the beginning of each sign, a new superking is born who will lead the New Age.
Two thousand years ago, a man was born at the end of the Age of Aries and beginning of the Age of Pieces. He was born the Lamb of God and became the Fisher King, whose followers were fishers of men. In about 200 years, the Vernal Equinox will shift to the sign of Aquarius, and the Age of Man will begin. The new SuperKing will come and thus, the Second Coming will occur, which is really the umpteenth Coming, according to occult practice.
Supposedly, the Age of Man, the Age of Aquarius, will be a Golden Age, according to the occult reckoning. The problem is that we must first go through a time of increasing chaos and entropy. It would appear that all the forces of Stupidity are trying to control the ancient order of things, and in the process creating vast amounts of Foolishness, which is the antithesis of Lucifer, or Bringer of Light. In fact, Yeshua called himself Lucifer. And before you get your panties in a bunch, then count up how many times the Gospels quote Yeshua as saying, "I am the Light of the World?" By definition, he said quite clearly that he was Lucifer.
Now we go back a little further, to Babylon. There, we survey the ancient gods and find two, Enlil and Enki. Enlil was the chief and HNIC. He's the one that decidedto teraform Earth and create a race of slaves called Men from some of the indigenous life-forms there. Now, Enlil liked to be called, "I am." "I am," tranlated to Hebrew becomes YWH, or Yaweh.
On the other hand, we have Enki, who was the prototype for Premetheus and Mercury. He took pity on Men and decided to give them knowledge and information. He gave Fire/Knowledge/Light to the world. His symbol is the apple, which if you read Genesis, you won't see the word 'apple' anywhere. But the forbidden fruit is traditionally an apple, which if you cut it the long way, has a pentagram in the center surrounded by a circle.
The Egyptians used the pentagram surrounded by a circle as a symbol for the next dimension after life. It is the pattern that Venus makes if you plot out all the inferior conjunctions over the full course of rotations. It is the symbol of Lucifer, the Light Bringer, the Enlightener, the Buddha, the Messiah.
So what it all comes down to is a huge war between Enlil, the Creator and Enslaver of Man, and Enki, the Englishener, Champion and Savior of Man. In order to really confuse things, the Yahwehists have tried their damnedest to blur the lines and make Lucifer equal to Satan, which are two completely different beings and concepts.
What they are fighting over are the Stones of Destiny, which control certain technologies that are god-like in power and very, very ancient. The Yahwehists have scoured the Middle East, the Moon and Mars, and found a lot of tech and information, but the key piece, the final Stone which can bring it all on-line, in missing. No one knows where it is, except Enki. The two sides are at total war to possess the final piece.
This war is why Zahi Hawass is in jail now. It's why the US has invaded Afganistan, Iraq, Libya, and destabilized Egypt. The time is running short, which is why they are throwing caution to the wind now. They don't care that can start to see behind the veil. Whatever the time-line is, they are running short of that one, true and precious commodity. They need the final piece...the missing capstone for the pyramid of their labor. Thus, the unfinished pyramid on the back of the $1 note, and the 13s all over it, and the sayings, "God favors our work," and "Out of chaos is order." These are the mantras of the YWHists, against whom the Luciferians/Buddhists/Messiahians have been fighting for ages unknown.
It's why I follow nothing, trust no one and believe only what I know. I don't trust either side, really. Anyone with great power is also capable of great danger. Better I take a jaundiced eye towards both sides, until one or the other proves themselves.
But as I scan today's headlines, I am growing more and more convinced that the YWHists will stop at nothing to get what they want. The question remains, where will the Enlighteners stop?
You don't have to believe me. Just type a few of the terms I've used into Google and scroll past the first 1,000 or so hits, to the real information at the back of the internet. Learn how to really read the Bible, so that you get the 'mean for me,' and not the 'milk for babies.' There's a lot to learn in a short amount of time, if you haven't started already. You may want to find a Cliff's Notes version of things to get you up and running.
The really weird part is that once you start to understand how all this works, and what the symbols are and what they mean, suddenly you start to see it everywhere. It's spooky really. Want an example?
Start by studying the word, 'DAWN.' I don't mean the etymology of the word, I mean the occult meaning and uses.
Then, suddenly, you'll see the mailstrom that is raging around you, like the final scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark..
By the way, the Tablets of the Commandments, which were stored in the Ark? Those are the Stones of Destiny.
Just so you know.
