NASA's strangely named probe OSIRIS-REx just rounded Earth on its way to asteroid Bennu. It passed about 11,000 miles/20,000 kilometers above Antarctica on a sample-return mission to Bennu that should wrap up sometime in 2023, with a packet of gravel being hurled at Earth.
Now, I like Richard Hoagland, despite the fact he is little more than a P. T. Barnum type with some smart people behind him doing all the work. One of his "wild-eyed theories" is that NASA is deliberately performing magic rituals based on Egyptian/Masonic mythology, and in the extant case it is hard to argue against it.
The asteroid 101955 Bennu is named after a minor Egyptian deity called Bennu, which took the form of a heron bird. Bennu was a symbol of Egyptian Sun and resurrection cults, and was frequently a part of ancient Creation myths. Bennu is also likely the prototype for the more familiar phoenix, which is periodically consumed by fire (Sun) and resurrected from the ashes of its previous incarnation.
It gets better.
Osiris was the Egyptian father of the gods, He was the origin of the Greek god Chronos, who is represented by the planet Saturn, and was considered the First Sun of our Solar System, later deposed by Zeus, and then our current Sun. Osiris is represented in the sky by the asterism of Orion, whose belt is mirrored by the three great pyramids at Giza.
Osiris was married to Isis, whose name appears quite frequently in the news these days, either as a reference to a bunch of CIA assets posing as Islamic terrorists, or as the International Space Station (ISS). Isis is the precursor of the Virgin Mary in Christian doxology. Isis was not only the wife, but sister of Osiris, as well.
Their brother Set or Seth was a rather power-hungry sort. He is likely the model for Zeus, and he killed his brother Osiris in a terrible battle. Set defeated Osiris and hacked his body into 14 pieces and scattered them across the Earth, thus making himself the king of the gods.
Isis set out on a mission to collect the pieces of her husband/brother Osiris, and placed them inside a hollow log, except for the penis. She bound the log together and tossed it in the Nile River, where it remained for three days before Osiris was reborn (passion, death and resurrection of Christ). It should be noted here that Isis placed a number of herons, or symbols of Bennu, inside the log with Osiris' body to ensure resurrection.
After rebirth, Osiris became god of the dead and ruler of the Afterlife, while Isis took his dismembered member and impregnated herself with their son Horus. Note the virgin birth echo here. This is not a spurious connection, as quite a bit of Christian iconography depicts Mary nursing Jesus in identical poses to Isis and Horus.
Horus was symbolized by Mars, as an angry, scared and red individual, who took it upon himself to get revenge on Set for what he did to Osiris. Horus was deeply wounded in the battle, and lost his right eye, which many will recognize atop the Masonic unfinished pyramid. He also received a deep scar on his face, much like Valles Marinaris on Mars, though no one has ever explained how the Egyptians would have known about such a feature.
Despite this necessarily abbreviated version of the story, the symbolism it contains is rather curious. NASA not only chose 101955 Bennu of the thousands available as the target of its asteroid sample-return mission, but the mission would be called OSIRIS-REx, which of course means King Osiris.
NASA also chose to swing the craft directly over Antarctica during a gravity-assist maneover, a continent that has been the focus of quite a bit of attention over the past few years due to rumors of strange discoveries there related to ancient civilizations. We cannot forget that just last year, NASA star Buzz Aldrin, ostensibly the second man to walk on the Moon, went there and had to be air-lifted out due to a mysterious illness.
Hoagland has made a rather compelling case for the use of symbolism and ritual by NASA in its history of spaceflight. We then have a craft named after Egyptian god Osiris with the title of "king" no less. Osiris carries with it connections to death, resurrection and the Sun (before his death). His son is connected with Mars and the Masonic eye. Its mission is to an asteroid named after Bennu, Eguptian demi-god of resurrection, creation and the Sun, with a connection to the mythical phoenix and symbols of which were placed in the coffin of Osiris to ensure resurrection.
With all the interlocking symbolism of death, resurrection, the Sun, and ties to Egyptian, Masonic and Christian symbology, plus the curious ritualistic "death" and "resurrection" of Buzz Aldrin, a NASA star, in Antarctica, and the "coincidental" fly-over of Antarctica by Osiris-REx on the way to Bennu, would has to wonder what in the hell is going on over at JPL?
What or who is NASA trying to resurrect? What is in Antarctica? Why all the strange, interlocking symbolism? And why is the mission being kept so quiet, given NASA's proclivity for announcing even the slightest achievements to justify its bloated expenditures of taxpayer money?
It all makes for some interesting musings, when one isn't overwhelmed with trying to survive in this world gone mad.

A Proper Revolution
In the US, there was Washington. In France, there was Descartes. In Russia there was Yeltsin. In the Czech Republic there was Havel. In Egypt there was...uh...eh...hmmmm....
In Libya there's...
In Syria there's...
In Yemen there's...
What is it with Middle East revolutions? Why are there no media darlings? Why are there no leaders and thinkers and writers and smart people with a plan? What has happened to Leaders?
I mean, I remember a time when, good or bad, all revolutions has leaders. Ho Chi Min. Pol Pot. Sam Houston. Whoever that Australian guy was. There was a sellable face on the revolution. There was a leader, a thinker, a writer. Thomas Jefferson or Benjamin Franklin, for instance.
Now there's just military councils. This is a good sign that corporations are behind it all. Why?
Because the boards and execs don't want their names on it. Plausible deniability and corporate curtains and all that balderdash. These are all manufactured revolutions whose sole purpose is to allow the corporate greedies to come in and divide up the spoils. That's why there are no leaders. Just nameless, faceless people throwing rocks in the square. That's also why revolutions are getting shorter and shorter.
It used to take years to revolt. Now it takes a couple of weeks, and when it's done, the media consensus is that it's all settled. Excuse me? Whatever happened to waiting for the people to form a government and write a constitution and the existing bodies of international concern to ponder the new direction and decide whether or not they will support and recognize the result?
Look at East Timor. They were slaughtered by the hundreds and fought for 24 years. Finally, UNPO let them in, and then global sentiment was swayed, and then they were granted independence.
In Egypt, they hardly suffered for their new status. They showed up via Twitter in the main square of one city, chanted and threw rocks, and two weeks later they had a new country. Mubarak had a heart attack just being questioned. Hahahahaha! Yeah, right.
Libya is a revolution. There is one leader: Qaddafi. He has a central bank that is not controlled by the Anglo-American empire. He has real gold, by the tons, in his bank. He has oil and other resources. His enemies require the US, Britain and France to fly in and blow up the wrong tanks. So now they all paint the tops of their vehicles PINK to distinguish them from Qaddafi's stuff. Haahahahahahahaha! So, Qaddafi just paints his stuff pink, too. I learned that from the internet. I'm sure he can read English, as well.
This is all such a con game. It is so transparent as to be laughable. But apparently, the world buys it because they have never read a history book. In fact, the history books, even if they were read, are so pathetic and hollow as to be treasonous.
California is talking about making 'gay' history part of the ophishul curriculum. No word on whether 'gay' means 'happy' or 'abhorrent to nature.' But by golly, we can have our history written by the one, single determinant of whether or not some historical figure liked to bugger the same gender.
Gay history.
That's how stupid the whole thing is, at least as far as history is concerned. In fact, all the crack-brains in America who enjoy free speech denigrate the 'old white men' who were cognizant enough to include free speech in the Constitution that everyone soundly ignores to this very day.
Orange revolution. Pink revolution. Jasmine revolution. Lavender revolution. This is all starting to sound like an interior decorator throwing up after a bad heroine trip. These are NOT revolutions. These are Big Macs. They're pre-packaged slop on a bun with good marketing. They have nothing to do with what the people want.
Look at Egypt. Two weeks later, they are back in the square demonstrating again because everything happened so fast they forgot one very important thing: WTF do we do if we win?
What we need are leaders, real honest-to-God thinkers that can inspire and see results past their finger tips. They should have an idea of history, not the BS that's Big Mac'ed into text books, but real history.
Who knows? It's all bullshit. It's all just pipe dreams and hope. Maybe a real revolution willl happen. I mean the kind of revolution that happens in people's hearts and minds, not the pre-packaged special sauce kind like we see over in the Meddle East (copyright and trademark on that one). We need the real thing and it need to be worldwide and profound.
I'm tired of all this rubbish called revolutions. The media and PTW have cheapened revolution and packaged it into a commodity and exported it. No wonder everyone's jaded and reticent to get out and try to change things. Anything they do will be Tea Partied into non-effectiveness. The way to do it is to stop trying.
In other words, shun the bastards. Stop voting. Stop paying taxes. Stop following their inane and unconstitutional laws. Stop paying the least bit of attention to the bastards. No shots fired. No aggression at all. Just stop caring about them. They'll die in less than a year.
Turn off the TeeVee. Turn off the radio. Stop reading the newspapers. Start reading real media like Rense and UrbanSurvival. Start reading a freakin' book once in a while and learn about history and what has failed and what has succeeded before us.
Don't vote. Don't buy anything from a corporation (not just a country, ANY corporation). Don't listen to ANYTHING they tell you, because all of it is designed to suck your life and energy away.
Install solar power on your house. Investigate and support people who are finding new and real ways to power your car from the garbage your household makes.
Become cats and act like cats when someone tries to herd you.
It's the only way.
And for God's sake, don't join any association that will have you for a member. They're alreay sold out to the devil. Just do your own thing and get the hell out of cities and find neighbors to trade with and start using anything other than dollars to buy and sell.
Now THAT'S a revolution!

Both the American and Russian space programs, and presumably other nascient programs in other countries, have all performed various tests to study humans in isolation. The tests involve sealing humans and other life forms off from all temporal markers, such as the Sun and Moon cycle, clocks, etc. When that happens, most lifeo n Earth maintain a biological time clock of 24 hours, but humans shift to a 25-hour cycle. The only plents in the Solar System with a 25-hour day is Mars.
Dr. Joseph Farrell, an Oxford-educated professor, who has turned to writing books on rather challenging subjects, has turned his attention to the subject of ancient texts and hyperdimensional physics. If it weren't for the fact given at the opening of this review, this might all be purely academic. However, there is empirical evidence, and strongly suggestive circumstantial evidence, to suggest that Humanity's history is far more complex than our current textbooks would have us believe.
Farrell's jumping off point is to ask, "If the ancient texts of Babylon, Sumeria, Egypt, India, China, Pre-Columbian America, and the Greco-Roman traditions are true, then how does one set out to prove this point? Can we, in fact, find sufficient evidence that the ancient gods and interplanetary war and legends and myths are actual, literal facts?
It turns out that Dr. Farrell can build a rather compelling arguement to that effect. He proceeds to build a framework for further study that includes: timeslines, geneologies, archaeolgies, astronomical observations, physics, and testable hypotheses.
To build his argument, he relies on mainstream translations, testable theories and actual artifacts. His conclusions are no less than astaounding. The implications are that the wars in Iraq and the Middle East, the current events in Egypt, the American (and possibly other) space program, and many other historical events are driven by a desire on the part of 'someone' to locate and possess ancient technology, whose locations and powers are encoded in ancient texts that nearly every major culture has.
While the possibilities are staggaring, they are no less dismissable. Farrell carefully builds his arguement, relying on mainstream research and translations, as well as alternative (but no less compelling) theories from well-known researchers. He relies on Nobel lauriates, peer-reviewed research and established cultural heritages to establish certain facts. Then he proceeds to connect-the-dots, so that the reader can form a bigger picture and begin to consider contexts that heretofore might have seemed too outrageous to contemplate.
The book is divided into three parts: Part One examines the background, Part Two looks at who, what, where, why, when, and how, and Part Three surveys far-flung evidence that begins to prove the case.
In Part One, Farrell takes the ancient myths of many different cultures and looks for overlapping images and narratives, such as a Great Flood, or a Tower of Babel, or Stone Tablets. He pieces together a three-dimensional puzzle to create a unified tapestry with a single picture of ancient warfare, gods decending to Earth and the willful destruction of Earth to squelch rebellion.
Farrell takes in Pre-Columbian American, Hindu, Babylonian, Sumerian, Egyptian, and Greco-Roman myths and texts, finding significant overlap in a surprising number of places. Some, such as the Great Flood, might be familiar to the reader, but others, such as the titles and planets associated with certain gods, might not.
The general description of the war and the weapons used to fight it, as well as the outcome, also have significant correlations throughout all the ancient myths and traditions. The reader discovers that the imagry, descriptions and timelines all line up in a remarkably similar way. For instance, ancient American petroglyphs and Babylonian/Egyptian texts seem to show or describe similar events. Stone tablets re-occur in numerous citations throughout multiple traditions. Floods and towers are common themes across many traditions, supposedly unconnected.
In Part Two, Farrell takes the ancient images and asks, 'Can they be explained with modern technology and research?' He then takes the reader on a coherent and well-documented survey of modern science and technology, with an eye to explaining and understanding the ancient in the light of the contemporary.
Here, the reader is given a brief but understandable education in things like hyperdimsional physics, orbital mechanics, scalar weaponry, and other exotic topics. Farrell's talent is that he is able to explain such things in a way that is accessable to the lay-person, while not talking down to the reader. If not fully versed, the reader at least feels comfortable with subjects like Kepler's Law, Zero-Point Energy, Scalar Physics, and Quantum Potential. It's enough that we grasp the concepts without having to learn the depths of the math to understand the connections and the implications.
What's truly earth-shaking in Part Two is not what Farrell discovers, that has all been done, but the connections he draws between seemingling disperate subjects and research, and how he is able to relate it to a single narrative of ancient war and conflict. Furthermore, that humans, or 'someone' was here on Earth to witness these events and record them in our global cultural heritage.
By the end of Part Two, the reader is left reeling, wondering how it is that all these things have been hidden. If all of the postulates that Farrell makes, and his arguements are sound, then why is it we don't know these things and study them in high school?
In Part Three, Farrell asks the question, 'If these things are true, then do we see evidence of them in our Solar System?' The answer, it turns out, is staring us in the face, every night.
The Moon has perplexed thinkers and mathmeticians for centuries. Newton declared that he could explain the physical Universe in every detail but one, the Moon. Once Farrell has completed the catalogue of anomolies concerning the Earth's Moon, the reader is left amazed that these things are not openly discussed.
The problem gets even more complex when Farrell surveys the tremendous number of anomolies on Mars and surrounding Saturn. Even the asteroid belt, normally mentioned only as a source of possible threats to Earth, becomes an open mystery, possibly indicating the existance of a former planet that is now nothing more than rubble.
Farrell goes on to look for evidence that a weaponized technology, capable of destroying planets, could have existed. Here we find things like Valles Marineris on Mars, which fits with a varied and remarkably similar tradition of the 'scarred warrior' in so many ancient legends. He finds evidence of civilizations on other planets capable of not only building highly advanced weaponry, but also spacecraft the size of moons.
Finally, Farrell asks, if there was an advanced civilization that spanned multiple planets in our Solar System, and we see evidence for that, then what has been found on Earth that could back up such a stance? It turns out that there are numerous examples of ancient advanced technolgy that have been, at least, ignored, and at worst, hidden from the general public. These things, usually called 'ooparts,' are simply dismissed as flukes, yet many are indisputable, and in eras before evolutionary theory became dogmatic, they were studied and published in well-regarded literature.
By the conclusion, the reader is way ahead of Farrell. He doesn't explicitely verbalize the obvious, but the reader can draw the strings together without help, at this point. If there was an advanced civilization, which spanned the Solar System (at least) at one point, and it had science and technology that we are only just now rediscovering, and that technology is scattered across the Solar System, and secret societies have maintained some deeper knowledge and undertanding of the myths and legends most of us dismiss in the modern era, then what does it mean for the individual?
If, as the reader has seen throughout the book, the myths are true, then key pieces of the technology would be hidden in places like Egypt, Iraq, the near side of the Moon, and certain regions of Mars. If someone believes that the myths are true, then do we see evidence of that today? How about wars in the Middle East, Apollo missions to the Moon, and the floatilla of craft that have been aimed at Mars?
By the end of the book, the reader can clearly see a grand design to so many events, escalating since the beginning of the 20th century. There is suddenly a strong thread of history that appears focused on recovering what most of us assume is nothing more than legend and allegory.
We are even able to believe that Yahweh has a family tree, that Lucifer tells the tale of a real being, that stone tablets contained software and targeting information, and that every major secret society has been trying to recover the weapons in the myths for centuries, at least as far back as the Crusades. Indeed, even the freakish weather of the past few years could be explained, under Farrell's theory, as evidence that someone found parts of the technology, and have made it work again.
At the close of the book, one is left with the impression that we have too long ignored these topics at our own peril. If someone in our contemporary society believes these things exist, and is actively pursuing the remnants of the technology using our tax money, our resources and our planetary survival in the process, then we must quickly start to look in the right places. Failure to do so is at our collective risk.
The technology could be sufficient to destroy entire planets and confer 'universal hegimony' on those who possess it. From all appearences, someone is using our lives and our wealth to regain those technologies, whether we believe in them or not. Furthermore, if they really exist, as Farrell's arguement presents, then we have a duty to ensure that no one person or group controls that kind of power, and that its existance be openly and honestly debated.
Though Farrell presents the matter dispassionately and in the highest scholarly fashion, the implications are clear and the urgency manifest. He has done a remarkable job in outlining the debate and building a roadmap for further research.
It is clearly up to the reader to use the information to effect change in society. How many wars could have been averted? How many ?lives spared? What agendas would we all be privvy to at this point?
Farrell makes it quite clear that the time for global dialogue has come and that the first order of business is Truth. It is our collective heritage and it is time to put it all on the table.

Why Worry About Facts?
"Do you want to accompany me go to the chruch?" she asks in the standard Englishnesian syntax.
Can't think of anything I would less like to do, frankly. Two hours of hellfire and damnation speeches interspersed with over-loud rock-beat music and people speaking some kind of jibberish sold as 'the language of the angels.' Just doesn't appeal to me, especially since they generally completely mangle the facts.
"But it's Christmas," she protests.
Exactly. One of the most fact-deprived holidays of the christian calendar.
"It's Jesus' birthday. You must go to church," she protests.
Ah, just the opening I was hoping for. I love it when people step in the middle of their own ignorance. She's holding her modern mistranslation of previously mistranslated versions of The Book. I ask if I may see it.
I flip to Matthew. Ah, here it is...the shepherds were tending their flocks in the firlds when angels appeared in the heavens. I avoid the temptation to go into the validity of UFO sightings in biblical times and stick with the facts.
So, Jesus was born on December 25th, right?
"Yes, of course," she confidently replies.
I open Google and search for average weather patterns in Israel, a country which did not exist 2,000 years ago. Just as I suspected. December is the coldest, wettest and windiest month of the year. What damn fool shepherd would be tending his flocks in the fields in the dead of winter? But just to be sure, I look up current weather conditions in Bethlehem, a city which did not exist 2,000 years ago. Hmmm...10C, which is what? 50F, with a chance for rain. Sounds like perfect camp-in-the-field-with-sheep conditions to me.
"Things were different back then," she protests.
Oh, so global warming has made the region colder in the last 2,000 years? A familiar argument. Al Gore's been using it also. I understand. It's difficult when facts get in the way of a good story. So I click over to Roman fastivals, since Rome was around 2,000 years ago.
Would ya look at that...December 25th is the Roman fastival of the Birth of the Invincible Sun God. Gee, do you think there's a connection? After all, every modern christian faction is a break-away from the ROMAN church, which is a vestige of the ROMAN empire, which celebrates its rituals in basilicas, which originally were ROMAN indoor markets.
I'm just sayin'.
She has that blank look on her face that tells me that, like most christians, she has already turned off and tuned out. Most people don't want to hear facts that get in the way of fun fairy tales. But, I'm on a roll here.
So I launch into how Buddha and Mohammad were actual historical figures, whose lives are independently documented. Even Hinduism has evidence that their panteon may be based on actual, historical people and events millions of years ago, though the jury is still out. Christianity, however, requires one to take on faith that there was someone named Yeshua, who was a carpenter by trade, and who, at the age of 30, changed the world, leaving not a single historical trace of his existance.
However, there are remarkable similarieties between his story and a much older one, the story of Osiris, Isis and Horus. It's all there: virgin births through miraculous means, death and resurrections (using trees and 3 days, no less), betrayers (Seth), physical ascentions into heaven, all of it. There's even the strange way that Egypt keeps popping up in the whole Gospel storyline, not to mention numbers like 3, 13, 33 and so on.
It's still early and I haven't had enough coffe yet, so I avoid getting into the whole discussion on the etimological similarities between the names Osiris and Jesus, or the wine and bread rituals used by Egyptians and christians alike.
I really didn't want to get into Amun Ra, the highest of all Egyptian gods, the father Sun, whose name is used by many major religions when imploring the deity for favors. "Amen," "amin," "ohm," nearly everyone says, after they pray fro victory or wealth or another man's stuff. Nor did I want to get into the whole symbolism of the single eye of Amn Ra, or the All-Seeing Eye, or even the Indonesian word for "sun," matahari, which literally means 'eye of the day.'
She was still blankly staring at me, waiting for my response. Facts had completely unphased her. It's always the same argument. You have to make a leap of faith. You have to clear your mind and accept Jesus into your heart. And really, that's the problem. I can't turn off my rational mind and just swallow fairy tales as truth, especially when someone wants my hard-earned money to tell me that I'm a sinner for not following blindly in just the right way.
Nor can I accept religion. To me, it's just pro sports writ large. This team against that team. these players are stronger than those players. Killing millions to prove that this fairy tale is 'mo betta' than that one.
I can't believe that three gods are really just one. I can't believe that peace comes through war. I can't believe that love is proved by hate. I can't believe that law is established through chaos. My mind refuses to accept that black is white. I even have a hard time suspending disbelief at the movies. All I see up there is special effects, actors, lighting, camera angles, propaganda.
A control system is a control system, no matter how benign it purports to be. I do not follow. i do not lead, for that matter. I just present facts, research and think. Then I act on what I find.
I sure as hell don't want to be berated, sung to and babbled at for two hours, then asked to pay for the priviledge.
She was still waiting for my answer, as if my 38 minute diatribe had simply not occured.
OK, if it makes you happy, I'll go with you.
"Good, go take a bath," she ordered.
Now them's fightin' words.
