- Perhaps if Ben Carson changed his slogan to "Doctor Who," he might get a lot more attention.
- Donald Trump is the ultimate expression of US culture: he is a walking corporate brand; he is the embodiment of all that is saccharine with that country.
- The Bush/Clinton dynasties have pretty much plumbed the depths of talent in their gene pools; voters have decided they no longer need comic relief, and so Jeb! is dying on the vine; Hillary, on the other hand, is the manifestation of Democratic ideals of slavery, socialism and just pure ornery meanness.
- Cruz is nothing more than the vanguard of the Canadian invasion of America; it is a long-simmering war between the two countries, based primarily on the fact that Canada got more coastline from the Indians, but America got the prime tourist beaches.
- I still think Marco Rubio will be a 'dark horse' compromise nominee and will ultimately be POTUS, I base this on the fact that his name kind of sounds like Marco Polo, and so folks think of him as adventurous, and able to introduce pasta, coal and asbestos to Western civilization.
- Edward Snowden had to seek political asaylum in Russia from prosecution as a traitor, while Hillary Clinton will likely be the Democratic party nominee, yet they are both guilty of the same crime of letting secrets out. As Mel Brooks says, "It's good to be da king."
- I have only voted for POTUS one time, and that was for Ross Perot, who was the template for Donald Trump, but with a much funnier voice.
- Barak Obama's legacy appears to be that he was such a bad president, the anti-establishment candidate finally won (not since Reconstruction has that happened); That's a long way down; Remember when he was first elected, he was nearly canonized at the same time.
- Pope Francis I lives in a walled city with an immigration policy that only allows passports to be given to Nazis fleeing persecution, and with probably the single largest Treasury on Earth; yet, he dares to comment on US immigration policy and how folks need to give to the poor? 'Let not your right hand know what your left doeth' has gone too far. Someone please get control of that left hand and quick!
- Does anyone else get the feeling that the UK is like a prom date who keeps teasing with "yes, no, maybe" when it comes to copping a feel at the end of the night? This Brexit thing has gone on for years and is just completely pointless, unless to tease the EU a bit and show a little power play.
- Indonesia is playing the same game as the UK over TPP, only it has its hand out to China and the US to see who will offer the richest purse for a peek at the goodies; reminds me of the famous quip generally attributed to Churchill, "We have already determined what you are, Madame, we are now haggling over price."
- Have you ever noticed how China operates? It makes a few incendiary remarks, and then sits back while everyone else fights about it. Classic divide and conquer strategy, or more appropriately: 分而治之
- The only country on Earth that has a tax system as evil and insidious as the US is Eritrea, and until just recently, the US condemned it for its tax system; a classic case of "do as we say." Eritrea is near Sudan and Ethiopia in East Africa; Says to me that the US tax code has Third World status.
- Since the world is into wall-building right now, I say we put a wall around the entire Middle East, pull out all foreign militaries and interests, and let them sort things out; This shit has gone on for far too long and has sucked up far too many of the world's resources over something as meaningless as whose religious books are more nonsensical; when they've finished beating, battering and beheading each other and have got things all sorted out, they can come out to play with the rest of us again.
- In 1969, NASA landed two men on the Moon with equipment less sophisticated than your microwave oven, yet in 50 years the world hasn't been back? Yup, either the Moon landings were bullshit, or the reasons for not going back are bullshit. Either way, someone has shoveled an enormous pile of bullshit on the world and guess who gets to clean it all up?
- The US supreme Court (under Article III of the US Constitution) was only supposed to have six justices. President FDR added three more to overcome the Court's resistance to his New Deal legislation; Justice Scalia's death is a first step in correcting this problem, as long as a new justice is not nominated.
- The US Congress doesn't even trust itself; In the 1960s, the Senate passed a rule that no justices, supreme or otherwise, could be selected in an election year, since politicians are far more untrustworthy at that time than in non-election years.
- It is said that for a hunter to be truly successful, he must become the hunted; thus, Russia has become the global savior and the US has become the dreaded evil empire.
- Suppose there were no countries, just a global collection of home towns and the only international law was that no one could become leader or ruler except in their home town; the towns could all compete for immigrants based on the standard of living and amount of personal freedom each offered; hell, entrepreneurial types could custom design home towns down to the laws of the community and sell property based on how cool it would be to live there; oh, and media outlets in each home town could only be owned by people who lived there, so there would be no global mega-media conglomerates competing to brain-wash folks - propaganda would be limited to each town and wouldn't have much hope of manipulating masses of people.
- Economics is not a science; it is a natural function, just like an individual's bathroom habits; what is a science is how the few manipulate economics to impoverish the many.
- Rulers, leaders, charlatans, and magicians all depend on the ignorance and gullibility of their audience; this means that being educated is the best protection again these kinds of trickery; being educated does NOT mean being an "expert" - those are what we call one-trick ponies; remember Rain Man? Dustin Hoffman's character was a one-trick pony.
- Al Sharpton announced he would "flee the country" if Donald Trump was elected; it would be worth a Trump presidency to see that happen; I might even move back if Sharpton was gone.

Some Random Thoughts On Politics

Here Comes The Son
Update: As if on cue, a UFO delivers a baby boy to the Temple Mount. I swear I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried...and always within hours or days after I write about such things. It's like watching a really bad movie where you can predict the whole plot from the opening credits.
Update 2: Yup, hold on to your britches, it's going to get interesting.
Update 3: Fireballs worldwide...including Belgium/Netherlands/Germany on Feb. 13, 2013...time to head for the hills?
Update 4: Time is running out...and Knights of Malta are recruiting for first time in modern history at the same time a member is appointed to head the Vatican Bank. Can you feel the urgency?
Back in January, I posted an essay on the rise of folk heroes who would be branded as 'anti-government', but who would, in fact, be an extension of a long line of historical characters who bucked the system when the system was seen as out of control.
Up pops this rogue LA cop named Christopher Dorner, who has already begun to amass a kind of legendary status. There are a significant number of people who see him as fighting corruption and injustice within the power and control structure. This is very similar to people like Capone, Bonnie and Clyde, Pretty Boy Floyd, and dozens of others.
Naturally, this led to several reader emails about 'how I knew this would happen' or 'what technology do you use'. The answer to both questions is Jorge Agustín Nicolás Ruiz de Santayana y Borrás, whose well-known and oft misquoted admonition goes, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Simple quote, profound implications. One must assume that George Orwell read Santayana extensively when formulating Nineteen Eighty Four and Animal Farm.
Next came the emails regarding my post earlier this week about Pope Benny, and my mention of 'rocks from space'. The questions ran closely along the lines of, "Gosh, how did you see that coming?"
This time, the answer is not so simple, but just as profound.
It seems that since the 1500s, some group has been working feverishly to manipulate history to achieve a certain outcome. This line of inquiry involves the Roman Church's sudden change in doctrine, the revelation of a number of (questionable) documents, the rise of Hasidic judaism, the creation of the Scoffield Bible and the rise of Dispensationalism, the 'finding' of the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, and the script-like adherence to something called the Prophesy of St. Malachy.
What's even more interesting is that the origins of a lot of this information come from Russia, home of the Russian Orthodox Church, which is one of the few non-heretical Christian sects left.
What is especially interesting to note is the appearance of Hasidic judaism, the Protocols, the Scoffield Bible, and End-Times Dispensationalism all at the same time in the mid- to late-1800s. The Malachy prophesy was revealed and Roman apostasy began, as well as a number of revisionist historical events, all took place in the 1500s.
I do not subscribe to coincidences, especially when they cluster around certain times in history.
Let's add the fact that many of the people we refer to as 'Jews' today are not Semitic people, but rather they originate from an area in southwestern Russia after a mass conversion to judaism in what century? The 1500s.
Am I saying Jews are taking over the world? Of course not. What I am saying is that a massive plot to steer the course of history to achieve a certain outcome was hatched in the 1500s, and experienced a big push in the 1800s. This plot involves a group of people who are hell-bent on creating the environment to fulfill a certain interpretation of the Book of Revelations. Whether this plot is to force the hand of God into the Second Coming events, or to use the Book of Revelations as a framework to deceive the world into passive acceptance of a global socio-political take-over is a matter of personal speculation, but the tracks are fairly clear to me.
Now a lot of people used to interpret the Book of Revelations as the defeat of Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple mount in AD70. The Beast (Roman Empire) was later cast down into the abyss and from it rose the Holy Roman Empire after the conversion of Constantinius in AD345 (or there-abouts). The 1,000-year reign, therefore, was the HRE's iron-fisted rule of Europe. But around 1500, some folks got nervous because the Beast had not escaped from the abyss to be cast down a final time so that the Christian empire could rule for eternity. So it is about this time that a number of events begin occuring that appear to force the hand of God into releasing the Beast one last time so that the final chapters of Revelations could transpire.
In order to arrive at this particular point of view required a certain interpretation of Biblical prophesy. This interpretation had to be promulgated far and wide in order to get the faithful to believe it. This effort began in the 1500s with the release of the Malachy prophesy, among other things. The 300-year-long education effort culminated in the 1800s with the formation of the Hasidic branch of judaism, the creation of the Scoffield Bible and the rise of the American evangelical churches, which are totally focused on End-Times and Zionism.
These events led to the two world wars and the Holocaust, which finally provided the impetus for the creation of a secular state of Israel, which is blindly supported by the evangelical churches in order to bring about the End Times.
Ultimately, it all converges with the Malachy prophesy which says that the new pope with be the last before the Tribulation. The pope's symbol will be the 'rock' (petri/petrus), which coincidentally fell yesterday on where, boys and girls? Why, Russia, of course.
Sure all this takes into account thousands of little variables and is much more complex than I can possibly enumerate here, but the broad outlines fit perfectly into a pointillist view of history. And when you have a lot of people working myopically for 500 years to make something happen, it usually will.
Add to all this the status of the number 13. Based on the belief that there were 13 people present at the Last Supper, the number 13 has been feared and reviled for millennia. If you add 1,000 years (the reign of peace from Revelations) to the conversion of Constaninius, you get the mid-1300s, which is when folks were expecting the final round with the Beast. When it didn't happen for 200 years, then the Big Plan was hatched in the 1500s. The Big Plan got a boost in the 1800s to tie up a few loose ends so that everything could come to a head in 2013. Throw in the Knights Templar who probably found evidence that something was afoul so that their persecution began on Friday the 13th in 1307.
Seems that, like Georges Seurat, the more dots you put on this picture, the more things start to take shape.
Shall we throw in Martin Luther and the 95 Theses in the 1500s? How about the Black Death, Galileo, da Vinci, the fall of Venice, the Gutenberg press, the Renaissance, and dozens of other major historic events that occurred between the 1300s and 1500s? More dots...
Something occurred in the 1500s that has changed the world as we know it today, and all those dots converge into a rather interesting picture of our Universe. How much of our world has been manipulated by a relatively small group of folks to create an outcome based on their erroneous interpretation of a prophesy that, by all accounts, was fulfilled centuries ago?
There are literally thousands of dots to connect here, but we can boil this situation down into something tangible. Like any good theory, it must have the ability to predict future events, so let's give it a shot, shall we?
I predict that there will be further meteorites. Whether natural or 'caused' is not important. What is important is how people interpret the 'signs and wonders'.
The next pope will have some connection to 'peter' and 'roman', though I am not in the camp looking at Peter Cardinal Turkson of San Liborio. Given past 'fulfillments' of Malachy's prophesy, I rather think it will be more subtle than that.
Once the new pope is elected, there will follow a series of massive social, economic and environmental upheaval the likes of which we have never seen (at least since the Black Death). In the midst of this chaos, the PTB will offer their usual Hegelian dialectic of two or three pre-selected 'solutions', all of which will entail global governance and currency.
The people, primed by hundreds of years of 'prophesy' will accept anything, 1) in the hopes of returning to normal, whatever that is, and 2) because at least a billion or so people will see these things as the precursors to the Second Coming. For both reasons, the vast majority of folks will roll over and become exceedingly passive, accepting whatever is thrown at them.
Ultimately, this all will be the end of the Roman Church. If the PTB have their way (and their interpretation of Revelations), the Roman Church will be folded into a global theocracy that will lay claim to all life and property on Earth as the final and eternal Kingdom of God.
If they fail, then no one with any sense will allow these people to so much as attain the power of dog catcher ever again. Either way, the Church dissolves.
The stakes are rather high and they are on a rigid schedule imposed on themselves to get this done. Benny's resignation and the 'rocks from heaven' are hard to turn off again, especially when it all depends on 500-year-old prophesies and centuries of socialization. The rest of us don't have such bindings on us. Unfortunately, a lot of people will fervently believe in these events, while others will convert as they become swayed by the official interpretation of prophesy. Humans are, after all, a rather superstitious bunch because of self-imposed ignorance.
I may be wrong about all of this, but there sure are a lot of dots making up the picture, and the picture is coherent when you stand back far enough. Time will tell. Doesn't hurt to be on the look-out anyway, and certainly if any of these predictions start coming true, then it's Katy bar the door.
So I'm way out on a limb now, but I'm pretty well convinced that I'm at least on the right track. The fact that Russia deployed 10,000 police to collect rocks tells me that someone sees something amiss, or that they are trying to aid and abet the ongoing illusion.
Head's up, everyone. If I am wrong, I will concede the point in a few months. If I am right, I may not have the chance to gloat.

Irishman On A Barstool
While the title of this column may seem redundant, it comes from the old saying: Put two Irishmen on barstools and they'll solve the world's problems in a night.
Being Irish AND Texan makes us imminently qualified to save the world. Certainly, those two groups are the only being on the planet with a point of view big enough to even consider the task. With that said, it falls once again on our shoulders to straighten out this mess we ironically call Western Civilization.
Like any farmer will tell you, you can't kill the weed unless you kill the root. Many folks will tell you that money is the root of all evil. We beg to differ, seeing more clearly than most. Actually, the Root of All Evil is Matthew 18:20. In case your New Testament is a bit rusty, this line says, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
We know what you're thinking: "How could one line in an ancient work of fiction be the cause of all problems in the world today?" We hear you. Took us a while to figure this out, as well. It just doesn't seem possible, right?
Well, follow along here...
The Roman Church (the Eastern churches are a little more sane) read this line as saying, when people gather at church, it constitutes a Body in Christ, or Corpus Christi. Remember that word "corpus," it will come back to haunt us.
As a Body, this group therefore acted in concert as one being for the greater glory of God, and could not be separated into its individual components, or human being. As the theological reasoning goes, this Body became the spiritually purified Corpus Christi, fed by his Flesh and Blood. It acted as a single Mind, ultimately uniting the katholikos, or Universe, under the single banner of God (which gets into Law of Flags pretty darned fast).
This concept was incorporated (see? there's that word again) into the Ecclesiastical and Canonical Law, which was basically Roman Administrative Law inherited from the Law of Hammurabi via the (Holy) Roman Empire. The Law of Hammurabi is the first known codification of contract, which is the foundation for all that follows from it.
So, the Roman Church decided that any group of its members constituted a Body, and was therefore incorporated, or 'within the Body'.
By applying the Law of Contract, the Church decided that each member of the corporation (embodiment) was essentially under contract with the Body as a whole. Thus, they were required to perform certain duties to ensure the health of the Body, such as pay taxes (donate money, tithing), observe certain rules and rites, and so forth. If one failed to do this, he or she could be ex communicare, or 'out of communication' with the rest of the Body.
Now, since the (Holy) Roman Empire pretty much dominated the Western Hemispere for 1,000 years, it stands to reason that the Ecclesiastical and Canonical Law would underpin pretty much all other law in the nations subject to it.
Almost every voyage of 'discovery', such as Columbus', were invasions of conquest to claim the world for the Body of Christ. If you didn't 'volunteer' to convert to Catholicism, you were summarily slaughtered. If the color of your skin was anything less than the pearly white color of Jay-zus, then you were a lesser Creation and needed extra purifying (by whatever means were most painful).
What's that? You don't think Jay-zus was white? Just look at a thousand years of art throughout Europe. He looks pretty danged white to me.
Back to the topic at hand...
When you were baptized, and later just by being born and 'registered', you became a part of the Corpus. The modern nation-state operates almost identically to the (Holy) Roman Empire and its official church. As a means of control, you are made fealty to the State, which is turn pays fealty to Rome. It's just a hierarchical structure ultimately leading to the ruling God-head. In other words, it's a pyramid with God at the top and His Ambassador (the pope) His designated ruler until He gets back from wherever it is He goes in times like these.
Pyramid? With an All-Seeing All-Knowing God at the top? Hmmm...where have we seen that image before?
Thus, we come to the modern situation. We have groups of people acting in unison to effect change in the world. They are united in purpose and vision, and thus constitute a Body under the law. Since they are corporate, they are called a person without distinction for individuals within that Body. Therefore, they enjoy a 'corporate veil' that shields the individual 'cells' of the Body from personal liability for the actions of the Body, since the Body is groups of cells acting together in common cause.
Now, with all that lined up, we can clearly see that the mega-corporations that run our lives and have more rights than individual human beings are nothing more than an extension of one line in one gospel in one book written back in the 300s. Since these corporations are probably 90% of the problem with current society, we have a clear and defined means to change the world. It requires three steps:
1) Immediately stop the requirement to 'register' (tell the king) the details of every birth, and all the documents and IDs based on that registration.
2) Strip corporations of their veils and legal status as 'persons', and limit the term 'person' to mean a single, solitary, natural human being.
3) Strip the Roman Church of its sovereign legal status, and forbid all churches everywhere from owning property of any kind, and take away their tax-free status. They may only hold property as individuals, and the individuals are liable for the actions of the organizations they run.
You could write the law on a single sheet of paper, double-spaced for clarity. Once passed and signed into law, it would take all of about three months to bring the world to a New Age of Liberty and Freedom, the likes of which have seldom been seen throughout history.
So, true to our Irish-Texan heritage, we have solved pretty much all of the world's problems in 1,000 words or less. We think that anyone who deeply ponders the broad implications of both the status quo, and the beauty of the world without artificial 'persons', will have to agree with us. In fact, you have to agree with us just because we're Irish-Texan and infallible in our reasoning. Heck, the world should band together as a single body and declare us pope!
Ugh! What are we saying? Letting our power run away with us again...
Oh, and one other little change. How about making politicians joinly and severally liable for any damages caused by laws that they pass? Maybe that would get them to actually read the dam nthings before they vote on them. Or maybe not....

In The Name Of The Son
I hope folks took a minute (or sixty) to listen to the interview with Santos Bonacci. He's an Ozzie (we won't hold that against him) who's figured it out. There's thousands who have, and in the sidebar links, there's a British site that goes into some detail, and well as the Texas site 'showmethelaw.org'. The paperwork and how-tos are all out there. Just be careful where you get your materials. There's a lot of fakers and folks who just haven't gotten it yet.
I have certainly spent enough time in jail myself. But as I've mentioned here before, once I got it figured out, I drove for nearly 10 years in a car with no inspection, registration or any other permission, including a driver's license. Sure, for a while I got hundreds of tickets. Beat nearly all of them. Eventually, the cops around my area got the idea that I wasn't going to change, so they did and left me alone.
I have a Texas passport. Once you figure it out, you can make your own. You can declare your land a sovereign nation, though I wouldn't try that just yet. The world's not ready for the whole truth. Besides, your neighbors start to get jealous of you and start turning you into ever government agency they can think of. Keeps you busy.
At any rate, perhaps you are now wondering what the magic bullet is? It's both very simple and highly complex. The complexity keeps folks busy chasing shadows so they don't look and the very simple truth at the center of the whole thing.
The truth is, the Roman Empire never fell. On the contrary, it owns you, your soul and all your property. That's right, the Book of Revelations took place in the year AD 1302, and the Anti-Christ was a lovely fellow named Bonaface VIII. Since you were born, you've had the Mark of the Beast, and you've probably looked at it dozens of times and didn't even know it.
You see, there's this story. It features a guy named Jesus, who had some followers. Well, he says to one of them, 'you're my rock and on you I will build my church.' Good guess! The guy's name was Peter. Anyway, in the story, there's this line about giving Peter the Keys to the Kingdom and telling him that what he binds on Earth will be bound in Heaven To make a long story short, Peter and whoever he appoints later are in charge of the Earth and everything in it until this guy Jesus returns. It's true, because God said so.
Sounds like Divine Right of Kings to me. Maybe that's why all the kings of Europe had to be blessed by Peter's replacements. They really didn't have Divine Right until God's Ambassador gave it to them.
That kind of power would make you really, well...powerful. Especially if everyone believed it.
So, the Roman Empire morphs into something called the Holy Roman Empire. Same wonderful bunch of people, different brand. The Emperors were replaced by popes, to soften up the image in later re-brandings, but it's the same thing.
That brings us to this guy, Bonaface VIII. He decided that if he was in charge of the world and everything in it until Jesus came back, that he needed to start locking things up all legal-like. At that point, he created a Trust. First one ever. Put all of Euope into it. He and his replacements would hold full title to Life, the Universe and Everything, as trustees. Just until Jesus came back, of course.
Problem is, that Book they were basing all this on is a complete fabrication. At least the way we've all be taught to read it. It is an amalgam of stories dating back to Babylon. The dying/rising god-turned-man. The 12 followers. All of it.
Most of the parables come from Buddha, pretty much word for word. The central figures come from Vishnu. The plot line comes from Babylonian myths. The sun worship, well most people have heard of that. The point is, Jesus and Peter never existed, at least in any form that we imagine.
But, there's this really powerful guy called a pope, and he has legal title and deed to all land and every soul on Earth. The power to do this is based on a fiction, and you still wonder why legal fictions like corporations can be 'persons'?
OK, so at this point, you should click over and read the Law of Flags. You'll need that information to really grasp the subtleties coming up. And a couple of data points. Ever notice that all the US flags in schools, courts and many other places have the gold fringe? The other point to think about is, why does Western law use so many Latin phrases?
If your sharp, and we know you are because you read this blog, then you're already starting to see the Bigger Picture.
Back to Bonaface. So, he took over everything in Europe and put it in a trust (you should read up on those, as well). Then, a century of so later, a guy names Sylvester put the Americas in a second trust. Later, another guy (whose name I forget) put Asia into a third trust. Together, the three trusts are called the Sequagint KV, sextum being the number six, three times, is 666. Hmmm...the Mark of the Beast.
When you are born, your parents 'registered' your birth and got a 'certificate'. Look up the legal definitions. Regis means 'king,' so 'register' means to inform the king, which is why your birth certificate has a line for 'informant'. You need that number on the certificate to get any form of government ID. You need ID to get a job, travel, conduct any kind of commerce at all. You have the Mark of the Beast.
The number on your birth certificate registers you with the Vatican, which now owns you as part of the Trust. You are a beneficiary of a vast treasure in Heaven, and it is the Vatican's (self-appointed) job to get you there, no matter what it has to do to you here.
Thus, you are a slave because your parents unwittingly 'registered' your birth, and you probably did the same with your kids. You are now under Roman law, using Latin phrases written in the Roman alphabet, and some people still have Roman numerals in their names. You are now a subject of the Holy Roman Empire, but it actually gives you power, if you know how to use it.
You can literally tell judges what to do, make prosecutors (pro se cutus-in the flesh) pay any and all fines for you. In fact, you can psych out prosecutors before court starts by asking if they brought their checkbook to court.
As I said at the start, it's a very simple idea, but very complex, at the same time. This rabbit hole goes much deeper, because all that power didn't come just from a work of fiction. That book is actually coded information. And information is power, if you guard it and make others pay to learn it. It's occult, or hidden knowledge of an ancient art called astrology. And yes, it can give you power if you know how to use it and others don't know about it. All those stories about 12 followers, a sun (I mean son of course), crosses, miracles, loaves and fishes, servants carrying water. It's all there, and it's why the pope wears a fish head for a hat. It's the Age of Pisces. Didn't you know that? Before thsi was Aries, which is why Muslims slaughter goats and Christians worship good shepherds. Before that, it was Taurus, which is why Hindus worship bulls and the Hebrews built a golden calf. After this is the Age of Auquarius, which is why Jesus is heard to tell his followers to look for the servant carrying a jar of water. It's all there in black and white. Virgins, warrior kinds, eagles.
I hear you. "But what does all this have to do with me?"
Ah, well, there's a way out. All you have to do is learn all this stuff. Please don't forget the Law of Admiralty. If you know what and when to speak, then you can literally become your own king, and extract yourself from the Matrix.
It's called the Redemption Process, and it's not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of study to find out just how simple it is, and what you learn will make you so powerful it will literally scare the hell out of you. Just be careful. Governments are cracking down because so many folks are learning about and using this information. If you don't know exactly what you are doing, you WILL go to jail...a lot. I know.
The Process is a little tricky, but it's mostly paperwork. Knowing what to do with it is the real trick. Do a little study on your own, and we'll come back to this topic later. I've given you enough names and terms to keep you busy for, oh, about a year or so.
Happy Research!
Oh, and all the stuff about secret societies and all that? Forget about them. Their just focus groups for the Big Marketing Firm in Rome.
I have certainly spent enough time in jail myself. Pax Romanae
Ah, once again we celebrate that time-honored pagan celebration of Easter. It began with Maundy Thursday, led into Good Friday, followed by Holy Saturday, and culminates in Easter Sunday. If you are a Christian, then you have most likely been read (few actually actively read...) the Gospel accounts:
On Thursday, at sundown, Jesus and the Apostles gathered for the Passover meal. Later, some of them repair to the garden for a walk and some fresh air. Jesus gets arrested, taken before the Sanhedrin, gets condemned to death, but wait!, let's let the Romans do it so we don't get blamed for killing a major political figure. So they haul Jesus to Pontius Pilat, who in turn interviews Jesus but doesn't get very far. So he sends our hero half way across Palestine, to Herod, who plays around with Jesus a bit and then sends him half-way across Palestine again, to let old PP have another go. Old PP takes our hero out back and has him whipped a little, then puts him up in front of the crowd, who naturally chooses the thieving, murdering liar Barabbas over our hero (a perfect example of democracy in action). Thus at a loss on what to do with Jesus, PP orders him taken up the hill and crucified at the mob's request. Finally, by noon on Friday, Jesus is hung out to dry.
That has got to be one of the fastest examples of the Wheels of Justice ever recorded! In less than 12 hours, Jesus has a couple of trials, is hauled back and forth across Palestine, sees pretty much the entire ruling class of the region, and dies by noon the next day. Pardon me if I have a problem with this story. In fact, even the Gospels seem to have a bit of a problem. Matthew, Luke and Mark pack all the action into one night, but good, old John says it a little different, giving us two days. Hmmm...and that's the Gospel Truth. Go read it.
So, we have this little time-line problem going. But, that's not all...
You see, the story of God-Becomes-Man-Dies-And-Resurrects was ancient even in Jesus' time. In fact, the story is one of the oldest in Humanity's collection of stories. By some accounts, this story is well over 10,000 years old.
One example is the Egyptian story of Osiris. Seems Ossy got into a battle and was hacked into 14 pieces. His sister/wife Isis collected the pieces, all except for the phallus which disappeared, and reassembled them inside a tree trunk. The missing phallus was replaced with a magical device that allowed Isis to impregnate herself before she sealed up the tree trunk and threw it in the Nile. Three days later, Osiris was resurrected in his new trans-human form (with the magical phallus, we presume).
Now the whole bit with tree trunks and three days has a familiar ring to it, que no? Not to mention the rather thinly veiled renditions of Mary and Jesus in the image of Isis and Horus.
To all this, we add the story of the Roman emperor Constantine. He was watching the Roman Empire sliding inexorably into the history books, led in part by infighting among dozens of competing religions. In an effort to quell the bickering and save the empire, he ordered a bunch of religious types into a room in Turkey and told them to come up with something. Which they did. It is called the Universal Roman Church, or Roman Catholic.
The council of Nicea blended pieces of several religions into a single amalgam that made everyone happy. The monotheists had One God. The polytheists had a Trinity. The goddess worshipers were given Mary and the Osiris worshipers were given Jesus. The Sun worshipers were given Sunday and those who just needed a pantheon and ancestor worship were given saints.
None of it really resembled Christianity, which was a whole different beast. The Christians believed that their guy was the new Fisher King, come to establish the Kingdom of the New Age. Their religio-political movement was an outcrop on the Essenes, who in turn had blended certain aspects of Judaism and Buddhism. Their system postulated apotheosis, in which every man could become god through certain practices.
The whole idea of apotheosis is really central to this whole thing. Certainly, the Buddhists believe in it, and various sects throughout Western history believe in it. There are hints of it throughout the Old and New Testaments, even as Jesus said 'all this I do, you can do, and more.' In the US, George Washington is assumed to has undergone apotheosis, and that moment is enshrined on the ceiling of the US capitol dome. Some scholars argue that Jesus also went through this process, as he began by calling himself the Son of Man, but later changed to the Son of God. Go read it. I'm not making this up.
At any rate, Constantine (remember him?) had hit on a solution to the ills of the Roman Empire. Now, the emperor was truly the center of the official religion, and that religion had something for everyone. No matter what your parental belief system was, you could find the core beliefs all tied up in a neat little box in this Universal Church.
Did it work? Well, the Catholic Church is the richest, most powerful organization on Earth...right now. It is the single largest land owner, and the leaders of the world still come to the Emperor (now called Pope) to get their blessing and approval. Roman Law is the core of most legal systems on Earth. Pretty much all corporations are given their legal status as 'persons' through a complex and very well hidden link to the Vatican. In fact, the Vatican is the only sovereign religious headquarters on Earth. And it has survived and perpetuated the Roman Empire throughout the world for 2,000 years.
Don't know about you, but that sounds pretty darned successful to me. In fact, few seem to realize it, but the Godfather series of books and films were really a documentary. I avoided watching any of the films until last year. Despite their fame and adulation, I had no desire to see them. I knew what was in them. I had seen it first-hand. The scene where Michael gets absolution from the future pope...well, there you go.
The banking ills of the world are laid at the feet of the Vatican. Its bank is the root of all evil. All roads lead to Rome. That's why no matter what horrible things the Church leaders do, the institution is untouchable. No major event on Earth occurs without the blessing and approval of the Vatican.
Oh, and who killed JFK? The Vatican, of course. JFK signed an Executive Order creating a new, independent US currency based on silver. Look it up. He died not long after that. How dare a Catholic stand up to the secular power of the Holy Roman Empire? From that point forward, we were given the Pax Americana. Now why do you think they'd use a 2,000 year old dead language for that term, and run everything out of a city in Virginia that is up to its gills in Graeco-Roman architecture?
And trust me, when the American Empire, and the Pax Americana falls into dust, the Romans will still be there.
Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it.
