Who Would Fardels Bear

Indonesians are hard-core realists.  It's at once one of their most frustrating qualities, and one of their most endearing - at least for people who live in the real world.

Minutes after two bombs went off in a crowded area of East Jakarta last night, social media was circulating graphic photos and videos of scattered body parts: a head here, a leg there, an arm over yonder.  They like to take a good hard look at death.  It's something that might change a few people in the West.

It would be good for the Katy Perrys of the world to take a good hard look at what terrorists do.  All the open borders and fuzzy hugs and Post-Modernist hickies will not change this reality.

It's important to keep in mind that the Jakarta bombs last night were created by Muslims to be used on Muslims during a traditional pre-Ramadhan parade - the highest of holy days in Islam.  This is what terrorists do to their own, why should we expect anything less against any other target.

The fact is that these terrorists have only one goal in mind: destruction.  Can events like Manchester and Jakarta have any positive effect on reasonable people?  Does anyone really think that wholesale death will win converts, much less hearts and minds?

These terrorists are sub-human beasts.  They have no desire or purpose other than to kill, maim and destroy.  They are weaponized individuals who honestly think there is some great reward in the afterlife for this kind of behavior, and their higher-reasoning facilities - if they ever existed - have been shorted out by those have no souls.

There is no amount of love and psycho-babble that will change these people.  They are beyond hope.  They have no loyalties but to death and destruction.  There is no humanity in them to reach with group hugs and therapy sessions.  No amount of concessions will ever placate them.  At best, they are mindless beasts before they set off bombs in crowds of innocent people, and at worst they are wads of hamburger to be swept up before the dogs get to the meat.

In fact, there is one possible way I can see that might dissuade a few of these despicable animals.  If clean-up crews were shown on global television in graphic color and detail picking up the scrambled remains of these wastes of life and feeding them to dogs and pigs.  That might even be a fitting sentence for convicted terrorists - thrown into pits of ravenous dogs and swine.  Let their fellow scum watch their buddies be defiled by haram animals on global TeeVee - that just might make an impact.

The point here is that we, the normal functional part of the world, are at war.  The bad side knows no boundaries or rules.  It is all-out warfare.  Every other human on Earth is a combatant and these slime have one goal - wipe everyone out.

No, it's not to convert anyone to Islam.  They blow up Muslims as frequently as any other group.  They need to be utterly destroyed because they cannot be turned off or remediated.  They have no ideals and cannot be reasoned with.  They are hardly more than single-minded machines aimed and released at the desired targets.

The main problem here is not how to deal with these mindless scum.  Since they will kill anyone for no reason at all - they are not aimed at any one offending group, but all humanity - they are not driven by ideology.  They are, in fact, weaponized humans.

And that means there is someone else pulling their strings.

Behind these empty meat jackets called terrorists is some hidden group with an agenda.  It is not religion, but social engineering that is the purpose.  This hidden force has created a mass of disaffected psychopaths that they can set off against any target, anywhere for any reason.  Anyone who tells you this is about Islam is either ignorant, or part of the hidden group.

The point of all this terror is fear and capitulation.  It is not about spreading any religion, much less Islam.  If it were, do you think the Muslims would be busy blowing each other up?  No, this is an agenda to create a certain kind of society that accepts fear and domination as an everyday way of life.

The point of all this death and destruction is not to force us to accept a religion, it is to force us to accept domination and slavery.  It is not about any god or philosophy, it is about abject submission to authority.

The use of fear and death is to herd us into begging authority for protection, to accept the dominance of the State as mother, father and source of life.  The terrorists are just machines put to use by this hidden group of cowards, who want to spring forth at just the right moment to save us from the chaos.

There is only one way to fight, and that is to defend ourselves.  We must take our own safety into our own hands; take full responsibility for protecting ourselves.  We must fight for those things we all thought was a job delegated to governments.  The governments obviously don't care, so we must forget about them, stop supporting them, and figure out our own ways and means to survive.

Witness the US, where the day after Manchester, the TSA became even more invasive and destructive of personal rights and dignity.  Their job is not to protect anyone, otherwise they would be going after the real perpetrators.  Their job is to make us choose between slavery and death, and frankly death is a better choice.

We must clearly see the target, and the target is not a bunch of weaponized drones spouting religious epithets.  The target is a bunch of cynical overlords using our cultures against us.  It is the media, the governments and the social structures we take for granted that are closing the trap around us.

We are cows to be herded, and the terrorists are the cowboys whose job it is to drive us into the corrals.  The more we turn to "authorities" to save us from these drones, the more we play into the hands of the overlords.

Terrorists aren't the problem, they are a symptom of something much larger and far more evil.  The terrorists are willing tools for something they can hardly comprehend, but which they have mistaken for a god.

We cannot make the same mistake.  That god will not save us, it is the heart of the problem.  Our job is to reject all the hands of the Machine and start relying on ourselves once again.  The only remedy for this disease is personal responsibility for our own safety and well-being.  And our best weapon is our wallets.

Tune in tomorrow...

Unknown And Unsung

If you only consume Western media, you'd hardly know that Jakarta had a terrorist attack yesterday.  Yes, unless you regularly check RT, al-Jazeera, Xinhua, or other global media outlets, the fact that seven people died and dozens were injured in an IS-like attack using bombs and handguns in one of the busiest and most tourist-infested parts of town would have slipped completely by you.

The Guardian had ongoing updtes, but no Fox, no Drudge, no NYT, not even Rense bothered to notice.  Seems that unless the attack is in Paris, LA or Koeln, it just doesn't really matter.

That may be a good thing.  Perhaps if ISIS and their jihadiots realize that attacks in Indonesia just don't get the media attention they are looking for, they will leave us the hell alone.

The story goes that a couple of guys wearing bombs walked into the Starbucks in Sarinah, one of the oldest and most well-known commercial districts in the city.  They thankfully blew themselves up and gunmen waited outside to pick off customers running out the door.  Meanwhile, a couple of jihadiots attacked the traffic police post across the street with something the police said looked like grenades.  This led to a chase and gun battle that went on for several hours and held the city's denizens in rapt attention.  Streets were shut down, causing a massive traffic jam that only someone who lives in Jakarta could appreciate.  This may have been a tactical move, since a get-away on Jakarta streets is virtually impossible under normal circumstances.

In the end, five and the seven dead were the jihadiots, while the other two were a Canadian and an Indonesian national.

In a macabre sort of way, this is all rather amusing, since the jihadiots were so inept they managed to kill themselves in a 2.3-to-1 ratio.  I mean, detonating two bombs in an enclosed space and firing into a crowd of panicked caffeine addicts seems like it would do a lot more damage.  But no, in the aftermath were primarily greasy spots where jihadiots had stood.

Now granted, Indonesians don't have the Texian's advantage of having shot guns since they were old enough to hold them, but you'd think a couple of bombs would do a bit more than they did (though thankfully not).  Perhaps the long trench coats they were wearing to hide the devices were so heavy as to dampen most of the blast, which is what I imagine just to make the absurdity even funnier.

What we have learned, though, is that people wearing trench coats in a country where it is eternal summer are probably up to no good, and you should quickly walk away.

In any event, if this is the best that ISIS can muster around here, then we remain far more afraid of Laurel and Hardy or the Three Stooges, than of the local jihadiots.  We can say, though, that ISIS has shot itself in the foot in more ways than one, since this sort of thing is likely to be a big turn-off to folks around here.  Even if I were radicalized and ready to fight, I sure wouldn't hook up with these yokels.

Don't mean to belittle the tragic loss of two innocent lives, but I do most certainly mean to laugh my ass off at a bunch of self-important jihadiots who think they are going to take over the world like this.

Sorry boys, I am not only not terrorized, I am laughing in your general direction.

Myanmar Muslims And Buddha Bombs

In order to fully appreciate today's rant, you'll want to go here for a little background.  We'll wait for you.

Now ponder this statement: Indonesians bombing other Indonesians to draw sympathy and support for a Myanmarese religious minority that is aggressively and violently fighting the Buddhist majority for political power.

Makes perfect sense, right?  First, you attempt to cause grievous bodily harm to your fellow countrymen who have absolutely nothing to do with problems in a distant country.  Second, by causing such harm, you seek support for certain groups involved in conflicts in a distant country.  Third, you actually think this bullshit will change anything and won't simply make the problem bigger.

Here's what's happening, in case you didn't take the time to read up: in Myanmar, the Muslim minority is building mosques and aggressively trying to elbow out the Buddhist majority, who in turn are trying to contain an invading and proselytizing religious sect because it is violent and upsetting the culture that has existed for two thousand years.

In an act of solidarity (for lack of a better term), an Indonesian Muslim walked into a Buddhist temple about 500 meters from my house and dumped two bombs - or was it three.  One bomb went off - or was it two - and the other(s) were defused.  Fortunately, the bombs were poorly constructed and did little more than blow up some shoes and cause some minor injuries from flying debris.

This is the kind of idiocy that has caused me to reject all religions in all forms, at all times and in all places - especially those which Joseph Farrell terms the "Yahwisms".  And should that last bit confuse you, Islam and Christianity are just re-branded forms of Judaism, which is the granddaddy of Yahweh worship, and by far the most violent and pernicious of the three.

The most profound problem with the Yahwisms is that they worship a god (Yahweh) who shows, through word and deed, that it is OK to kill, maim and destroy in the name of love and compassion to prove you are right.  That includes not only killing the other guys, but also each other - Sunnis killing Shi'ites, Catholics killing Protestants, Sephardi killing Ashkenazi, etc. ad nauseum.

I have no truck with religions that worship morally questionable and ambiguous gods, who in turn give blessing and even command followers to take morally reprehensible actions in the name of spreading the word, regardless of what that word is.

Granted, the people who do these things are usually young, ignorant and pliable.  They have been conditioned by their leaders (through selective editing of holy texts) that it is both good and moral to destroy in the name of protecting and spreading one's faith.  Of course, it doesn't occur to the young and impressionable that if these actions were really such a great idea, then how come the leaders aren't doing it?

Though Islam is particularly noisy and aggressive in its expansion in today's world, it is only the latest in a long line of Yahwisms to be so.

In the 1600s, the first treaty between Western and Indonesian powers was with Portugal and the Sundanese kingdom.  Arab invaders had forcibly converted a significant portion of the Javanese to Islam and then turned their sights on the Sunda, who lived in the mountains of West Java.  In desperation, the Sunda turned to the Portuguese, who were snatching up land and resources in the name of the Roman church, and who were looking for safe ports from Arab/Muslim raiders.  The Portuguese were given safe harbor, or jaya karta (Jakarta) in exchange for their help in fighting off the Muslim hordes.

Of course, all this did was give the Roman church a foot in the door for their own expansionist plans, and that led to hundreds of years of Western colonization in the archipelago, not to mention centuries of sectarian violence and unrest.

For both sides, the religious conversions were nothing more than political control mechanisms to allow wholesale rape of local labor and resources.  The Arab invaders wanted the wood, ceramics and gold.  The European invaders wanted the spices, textiles and gold.  Both used religion as a way of subduing and controlling the local populations to ensure loyalty and fealty.  It may also be instructive to review the history of the Americas since the late 1400s, as well as the history of American TeeVee 'ministries'.

Long before this, Yahweh was commanding the Israelites to abrogate entire nations and cultures, slaughter the residents thereof, and confiscate their lands and resources.  All in the name of peace, love and religion, of course.

In short, it has always been permissible to the Yahwisms to kill and destroy to spread the faith, whether it is people of other faiths and cultures, or among their own ranks (Sephardi vs. Ashkenazim, Catholic vs. Protestant, Shi'ite vs. Sunni vs. Sufi).  What's more, this attitude stands in stark contrast to the most sacred tenets of the three Yahwisms, which supposedly hold peace and love as their highest aspirations.

In light of all this, we come back to an aggressive Muslim minority trying to expand and take over a long-established Buddhist majority in Myanmar.  The majority, seeing no other option than to fight fire with fire to protect their way of life, have begun fighting back.  So, Muslim leaders from Myanmar came to Indonesia to stir up support, which lead to a misguided youth dropping a couple of bombs in a Buddhist temple thousands of miles and several countries away from Myanmar, in an attempt to harm people who have nothing to do with the problem, as a means of gaining support for a minority that is using violence for political ends in Myanmar.  Makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

And somewhere in all of this, someone actually thinks these are morally and ethically defensible acts?

Sounds like someone has been reading a few out-of-context sentences and forgotten the rest of the book.

Perhaps Indonesian Muslims would do better to look at the Myanmarese situation and examine the way religious minorities are treated here.  It's always more effective to lead by example.
