As of midnight on 3 July 2021, Jakarta will be surrounded with military and national police blocking all the exits, supposedly until 20 July.  No one will be allowed to enter or exit the city.  Folks will be allowed out of their houses to go to the supermarket, but nothing else.  To avoid being hassled, folks are encouraged to have as much as possible delivered - because, um, that doesn't spread viruses, I guess.

The Tempo article notes, "Specific Jakarta protocols "the police would bar people from conducting outdoor activities following the imposition of the policy. People are only allowed outside of their home for emergency and essential purposes. "

We chose to bug out rather than live through the sequel to The Year of Living Dangerously.  We brought our daughter, her husband and our granddaughter to the mountain house 100km south of the city.  It is difficult to express the joy at being free of masks and constant pressure to get vaccinated, where the air is fresh and a full 10 degrees cooler than Jakarta.

Here's an example of the insane rubbish being foisted on Indonesians by the President's personal physician:

2. Keluar rumah, walaupun hanya dihalaman agar menggunakan masker dua lapis.

Sedangkan varian sebelumnya melayang mengikuti droplet ludah dari orang yang sedang berbicara (jarak 1,5 meter dari lawan bicara droplet sdh jatuh ketanah).
4. Saya serahkan pada masing² individu utk mencernakan saran pak Martiono, apakah diterima dan dilaksana kan seluruhnya, dilaksanakan sebagian, atau diabaikan. Monggo saja, karena itu hak masing2 individu.

So here we have  a supposed :expert" first using fear (former employee of the national oil company getting "exposed to a supposed "variant").  Then, he tells us that the "sick" person was vaccinated and has no idea where or how.  Then he appeals to authority, a formal fallacy, by quoting the President's personal doctor, who says the "Delta variant" is "smaller" and so floats easier on the breeze.  Then the"doctor," who has offered no science or reference for the ridiculous assertions, to continuously disinfect our homes and wear two masks at all times (24/7), despite the provable fact that masks do nothing to stop the older, "larger" virus.

All of the statement are speculative, anecdotal and completely devoid of any evidence whatsoever that the information is true or based on any objective facts, or that the recommendations have any efficacy against any virus, much less against a supposed COVID or any variant by any name or "size".

That this "doctor" would assert that the "smaller" size of the Delta variant more easly floats on the wind is so utterly devoid of rationality as to make one question his sanity, much less his accumen.  The average size of the hundreds of types of corona viruses is around 0.125 micrometers.  That is hardly an impediment to "wafting".  Furthermore, there is no mention of the sanitizing effect of UV-A light (sunshine), nor the fact that virus density in open air can practicaly never approach infectious levels (viral load). 

Either this "doctor" is a complete babbling idiot, or he is a fear monger trying to drive the masses to PCR tests and vaccines, which have vast financial benefit for the Insiders, who are skimming off the top of all this money being sloshed around.

In addtion, having a military deployment pays soldiers active-duty bonuses, keeping the military placated and compliant to the political PTB.

What I hear is that an "authority" figure "tested positive" using PCR tests that have been widely proven to be cheap knock-offs, with people rinsing the swabs to pocket the money used to purchase them, and the "authority can not think of any risk factors or possible sources for his "positive" result?  In one question, I drove an entire fleet of trucks through the gaping hole in logic.  The only exposure mentioned is the fact that the former Pertamina Big Wig has been vaccinated twice, which must be assumed to be the most likely source of any exposure.  We are not told which vaccine the "authority" used.

Given Indonesians' unwillingness to read or research for themselves - much less use critical thinking - and their seeming innate credulity of anyone with a title or position of "authority," they actually circulate this silliness like passages from the Koran.

Based on wholly unscientific information and completely speculative and anecdotal information like this, the president has shut down the two most populous islands in the country, and conveniently the capital city.  The "authorities" are now considering expaning martial law outside Java and Bali, given the unmitigated and abject failure of the effort so far.

My use of the term "martial law" has been challenged, but when the militiary is deployed for civil enforcement, it implies that the civil authority has failed and the only option to maintain order is deployment of military on the streets - martical law.  In other words, the civil authority has declared itself incompetant.

I have had two colleagues independently mention the similarities with current events to those under Soeharto, when he assumed power in the 1960s, a parallel that echoed my own personal thoughts.

A president issuing edicts with punitive consequences without the issuance of laws from the Parliament is a dictatorship under any definition of the term.  As Mark Twain warned us, history seldomly repeats, but it often rhymes.

At the moment, the current situation here is rhyming like a fascist dysfunctional Dr. Seuss..

Knockin' On Heaven's Door

I am not philosophically opposed to the concept of vaccines.    I've had all the usual shots that someone my age would have, plus a few extra.  

In the early 1990s, I was part of a test group for a new herpess vaccine being developed at Baylor College of Medicine.  I don't know what the outcome was, but I've never contracted herpes.  I also spent a few years in operating rooms making training videos for surgeons.  For that, I received a course of hepatitis C vaccine, consisting of three shots over six months.  Don't know if it worked, but I've never had hepatitis C.

I have a Biomedical Photographer Certificate, which means I attended graduate-level Human Anatomy and Cellular Biology courses, to which I recently added an online Virology course.  This enabled me to communicate meaningfully with doctors while writing, shooting and editing medical videos.  While I am not a doctor, I have most certainly played one on TeeVee.  I even had a set of custom scrubs and my own embroidered lab coat.  I've even owned stethoscopes at various times in my life.

One of the videos I produced back then was a study of a new technique using hollowed-out virus shells to deliver mRNA into tumor cells that would replace/edit the "wild P53" gene and presumably turn off the cancer cells.

With all of that as predicate, I have never seen anything like the current push to get gene editing technology into so many people so quickly.  Though the technology is 30 years old, the current gene editing modality wraps the mRNA "edit" in a form of artificial lipid (fat) coating that prevents the body from flushing the invader out and it has absolutely no place inside the human body.  Furthermore, from what anyone can find about these "vaccines," they usurp the cell's normal functions and turn it into a factory for a mutated form of spike protein with three folded proteins at the tip.

If you're not up on Cellular Biology and Virology, the folded proteins are called prions, and are responsible for spongiform encephalopathy, or "sponge brain syndrome," or more commonly "mad cow disease".  This is what causes the reported "brain fog" experienced by those who have been exposed to prions - either by the so-called SARS-COV-2 "virus," or through the so-called "vaccine".

It is astounding to me, with my limited knowledge of medicine and virology, that Big Pharma - in cahoots with Big Gummit - have tossed all safe practices, established protocols and more than a century of experience to literally endanger all humans on the planet with direct injections of materials that have no track record of efficacy or safety, using a modality with a poor health and safety record.  In fact, the only part of this whole mess with any background of testing in humans is the technique of using mRNA to edit your DNA, and that's still poorly understood with little knowledge of long-term outcomes.

What is truly worrisome is the ever-growning messaging about "mandatory vaccinations," which is euphamistic for hog-tying people and forcefully pumping toxins into their bodies against their wills.

And this has begun in Indonesia - quietly but surely.

In most major cities in Indonesia, residential areas are devided into Rukun Tetangga (RT) or Neighbor Unit,  and Rukun Warga (RW) or Community Unit.  There are roughly 10 households in one RT, and about 10 RTs in an RW.  They are analogous to the sheriff (RW) and deputies (RT), and the folks who run them are elected by the neighborhoods every two years.

The man who is the RT for my group of houses had stated that he was not interested in getting vaccinated, because he really did not understand what was being injected and he has heard all the rumors we all have of people getting seriously injured or killed by these potions.

That changed yesterday.  The RW came by his house early in the morning and announced that he had to be vaccinated or his monthly stipend would be cut off.  Since our RT is retired and his position is his primary source of income, he is in a true dilema and deeply concerned about receiving the toxins.  As an elected official, he can't be fired, but the small income he receives is vital to his family.

Similarly, a good friend of mine, who teaches in a large nationwide private school system was forced to be vaccinated (with Sinovac) in order to keep his job, for which he had just signed a three-year contract.  The pay is exceptional for a teacher, and his wife and daughter live comfortably off the single income.  If his contract got cancelled, his visa would also be cancelled, and without a job and a sponsor, he'd be deported back to the UK despite his family being Indonesian nationals.  Needless to say, the job market is not on his side with schools just now reopening and foreign workers not favored by the current administration.

A business associate, his wife and two friends went to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine together as a social event.  All four were bed-ridden for several days.  My associate reported that it felt like every nerve in his body was on fire, and any sensation (lying down, standing up, fan blowing, showering) was excruciating.  This lasted four days.  He did not report on the two friends other than to say they were quite sick, as well.  He will not get the second shot.

While these three admittedly anecdotal incidents do not rise to the level of literal hog-tying, threatening one's ability to provide for one's family and essentially cutting them off from the general economy is as effective as tackling and jabbing.

I grew up on a farm with over 400 head of cattle and a whole menagerie of others animals.  Twice a year, we had to round up the cattle and force them through a chute, where they were vaccinated, treated for parasites, given vitamin shots, branded, and the yearling males had their scrotums zip-tied to steer them.  Any cows that balked had their tails twisted, electric prods poked at them, and in extreme cases, halters tied to the heads to both suck and blow them (see previous article) into submission.

The cattle analogy to the current effort to drive the human herd into the chutes is striking and vivid to me.  The range of mental and physical tail-twisting being done to corral us into compliance feels exactly the way I imagine those cows felt.  Most of the animals simply marched into the chute out of sheer bovine stupidity, others required minimal urging, and a few took significant prodding, but eventually they all went through, and their reward was to be turned back to pasture unmolested for another year.

Sound familiar?

Granting the proposition that a little knowledge can be dangerous, here's what I have not seen:

1. Zero verifiable, laboratory-certified and reproducable evidence that something called the SARS-COV-2 virus actually exists.

2. Zero evidence that ANY of the current products being forced on us match any of the legal or medical definitions of the term "vaccine".

3. Zero long-term safety and efficacy in vivo studies demonstrating the value of the "vaccines" for protection against the "virus".

4. A test for the presence of ANY virus that is objectively useful in the field by non-medical personnel, and that is not susceptible to random sampling errors, sterility errors and processing errors.

Here's what I have seen:

1. Massive psychological programming, including peer pressure, shaming and guilt trips.

2. Massive physical coercion to brow-beat and cajole folks into surrendering every single established Natural right, including and especially privacy and personal dominion, by threatening jobs, social liberties and freedom of movement. 

3. Massive campaign to hide, obfuscate and manipulate information regarding this particular health issue for the sole purpose of creating self-doubt and surrender to proscribed actions to end mental, physical and/or spiritual pain = commonly known as torture.

4. Symptomologies ascribed to "COVID-19" that present exactly like seasonal influenza, bacterial pneumonia and hypoxia (from masks).

5. At least two well-tested and long-used drugs - Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine - that have shown significant benefits in the prevention and treatment of "COVID-19," and which have been buried and proponents ridiculed mercilessly simply because the drugs are cheap, effective, plentiful, safe, and most importantly, no longer patented.

The 1976 swine flu vaccine was cancelled after just 25 deaths in the US alone, and that is considered one of the biggest medical fiascos in living memory.  The circumstances were similar: an untested vaccine was fast-tracked, by-passing all the normal safety protocols.  There are people today who still suffer the physical injuries from that experience.  In the final analysis, the swine flu did not justify those extraordinary measures, just as SARS-COV-2 do not in the current situation.

It would also be instructive to read up on the more recent experience with Gardasil, and the horrible injuries and deaths caused by a vaccine that did ostensibly follow the protocols, but where greed and avarice led horrors.

Mirroring the current circumstance, swine flu vaccine manufacturers were granted extreme immunity from liability and there was a major social conditioning effort to "normalize" getting the vaccine.  Chevy Chase famously spoofed then-president Gerald Ford on Saturday Night Live with a hypodermic needle stuck in his arm.

History never repeats, but it sometimes rhymes, as Mark Twain wisely observed.

We can say with certainty that we are being lied to.  What is harder to determine is what the precise truth is, since the stakeholders have criminally muddied the waters to hide it.  

There is a nefarious agenda behind the actions of government and establishment "experts".  When this kind of situation arises, logic dictates that we err on the side of caution and remain with the status quo until extraordinary proof can be presented for the extraordinary claims.

One would think that people would be a lot more skeptical of this whole mess, but in my daily dealings it seems that the majority have been scared out of their wits by imaginary viruses and cowed into accepting imaginary vaccines as the only remedy.  Those who have not made that leap are being forced by economics and concern for their families into submitting against their better judgement.

The one ray of hope is that all of this is primarily an urban phenomenon.  It seems that rural folks, being more pragmatic and less susceptible to social pressures, are so far escaping the madness.  Being self-employed seems to be a key factor in one's effort to avoid injected toxins.  How long this will be the case remains to be seen.

Let us hope that a great many more people will find creative means of resisting the onslaught.  For myself, 70% of my income is online, and I am pushing that to 100% as fast as I can, which will allow me to move to my rural location - and hopefully sanity.

Wars are a series of battles, and not all battles need to be won to be the ultimate victor.

Selling Fear

One of our highly intelligent readers asked me to address the COVID operation from a marketing standpoint, which was an intriguing and irresistible topic.  Marketing, and its slightly more respectable older sibling Public Relations, are essentially psychological tools (weapons) that control mass desires and perceptions.

There are three primary forms of mass media: textual, visual, and audio.  Each is capable of telling a complete story by itself, but more interestingly, they can be combined to tell three different but related stories at the same time.  As a fun experiment, the reader should try watching a newscast, first with just the video, then just the audio, and note any differences in your perception of stories when you separate the two.

That said, let's take a look at how COVID is sold and programmed to manipulate a mass audience.  We will look at the tricks used to sell COVID, how it is packaged, and the motives of those selling it.

Let's ask ourselves what we really know about COVID.  We are told it is a virus, that it originated in Wuhan, China, and that it is deadly.  When we seek proof of these three propositions, most of us have no means to prove the existence of a virus, so we depend on "experts" to tell us that the cause of some set of symtoms is a virus.  We depend on the "experts" to tell us that the first known cases were in Wuhan.  We depend on "experts" to explain the connection between certain events (infection, progression, mortality) and the virus we cannot see.

The entire COVID narrative depends entirely on a small group of individuals with credentials we are told make them "experts" telling us how to connect certain dots to form the picture they want to paint in our minds.

You and I have been trained since birth to accept the authority of certain individuals and organizations on certain topics.  We rarely, if ever, question our underlying assumptions, which make us vulnerable to all kinds of marketing and PR.

If I take a middle-aged male with a soothing voice, put him in a lab coat and stick a stethoscope in his pocket, and place him in a vaguely clinical setting, then add a voice-over saying, "Nine out of ten doctors believe/recommend/choose...," most people would not only assume the man is a doctor, but that what he is saying is authoritative and true.

This effect depends heavily on the human propensity to delegate authority to someone else so we don't have to do all the work involved for ourselves.  This effect is commonly called "suspension of disbelief," and mass media is built on it.

If we take a performer with a certain (scientifically determined) look and vocal range, dress them up and place them on a vaguely "newsy"' looking set, we tend to delegate authority to them as "employees" assigned to find, digest and deliver information to us in a compact and packaged format.

Because we have delegated certain authority to these performers, we accept uncritically any random person they trot out as an authority on some topic.  We assume the performer has done the work necessary to vet the "expert" credentials.  We never see the expert's diploma or transcript, nor do we ever personally interview those who conferred "expert" status on them.  We base our assumptions about the expert on assumptions about the performer on assumptions about institutions.  We are at the mercy of multiple layers of assumptions that few of us examine on a regular basis.

When the performer trots out an expert who says a deadly virus is sweeping the planet, most of us have no way to verify the patient from whom samples were taken and scanned under an electron microscope and compared to the list of known viruses and determine whether the virus is indeed the cause of the sumptoms in the patient.  We assume that all the experts being presented to us have done all the work to verify the information they are telling us, and that their motives are pure and benign.

When I search for images of the SARS-COVID-2 virus, what I get looks very much like images of the seven other corona viruses that afflict humans, and since the images are generated by a computer counting the electrons bouncing off the surface of the virus, the images are in fact generated by an algorithm.  I have no means at my disposal to analyze those images, nor the computer and algorithms that produced them, so I am dependent on "experts" to interpret that data for me.

This doesn't begin to address all the tricks used - color, composition, lighting, music, etc. - but being aware of the use of "experts" is important to understanding how COVID is packaged.

COVID is packaged as an imminent and existential threat to every human being on the planet.  It is packaged as a virus, which none of us can see, and we are told that someone is infected by use of a test that none of us can verify (theory, design, processing).  A certain set of symptoms (matching several influenza and corona viruses) is a sign of infection by this virus.  And finally, it is all "wrapped" in a package labelled "SCIENCE".

Please forget that SCIENCE is a methodology for testing facts and assumptions, and NOT a belief system designed to stamp "authority" all over information, based entirely on a nested set of assumptions.

The packaging of COVID is designed to increase our credulity.  If "authorities" and "experts" and SCIENCE are all over the packaging, it must be true.  On a simple level, if you put French's common yellow mustard in a jar with French words all over it, you can double the price.  If you put a skull and cross-bones on the label, most people will not taste it to verify whether the contents are poisonous.  Thus, if we take an invisible threat, wrap it in "authority" and "expert," and stamp SCIENCE all over the label, not many people will question the information's veracity.

Let's take hydroxichloroquine, or HCQ, as an example.  Here is a drug that has been used by millions of people across the planet for decades, and is listed by the US government as being safer than aspirin (widely sold on the shelf of any convenience store).  It is frequently used to treat dengue fever, which is caused by one of four different viruses, so we know for a fact that it is effective against at least some viruses.

So, we have a cheap, common and safe drug with a long history of effectively treating some viruses.  Those are facts.  Now ask yourself, what is your perception of HCQ.  If terms like "side effects," "heart problems" and "poison" come to mind, then you have been watching mass media.  Whether you believe that information or not is irrelevant.  If your doctor wants to prescribe it for you, you will immediately react with fear.  Giving in to that fear or suppressing it depends entirely on your cognitive capacity and access to alternative information.

Ultimately, we are being manipulated by and with FEAR.  Fear is a very powerful emotion that is rooted deep in our minds.  It shuts down our reasoning capacity and causes us to react on instinct.  No one can stop fear, but we can suppress it, but it takes a significant conscious effort.

When we strip away all the unknown or unverified (unverifiable) information available on COVID, what we are left with is FEAR, wrapped in AUTHORITY and stamped with SCIENCE.  Quite simply, these three concepts are at the root of the entire global phenomenon we generally call COVID.

The FEAR is generated by the unknown and the uncertain.  We are unwilling or unable to verify the threat, so like the skull and cross-bones on the label, we won't question the contents out of FEAR we may be wrong.

We may be wrong because AUTHORITY has certified that our FEAR is warranted.  We read the label and saw the warning, and now some guy in a lab coat with a stethoscope in his pocket is verifying our FEAR.  He has lots of letters after his name, and other AUTHORITY figures confirm his AUTHORITY.  Thus, we give in to the FEAR.

This brings us to SCIENCE, a term which should never be confused with science, which is a set of rational rules for testing and verifying facts.  Rather, SCIENCE is itself a set of assumptions and beliefs that act as a modern theology.  It generates myths and deities that we are taught to hold sacrosanct.

SCIENCE has a high priesthood called AUTHORITY, which is telling us to FEAR.  If we cannot question SCIENCE, then none of the propositions built on it can be questioned, either.

If we want to unravel the marketing effort known as COVID, we must first examine our FEAR.  Where is it coming from?  What is generating it?  Who is selling it?  What is their motivation?  Once the FEAR is addressed, the rest of the illusion will crumble, in the same way that being on the set of a commercial and meeting the actor in the lab coat destroys the illusion that he is a medical professional.

We now turn to the last question - What is their motive?

The answer to this is a bit more difficult, because we must discern what is in the heads of a complex set of characters - individuals and institutions - and why.

The first thing we ask ourselves when unravelling a marketing campaign is, "What are they selling?"  The answer is either an action or a belief.  They want us to buy a product, or believe something about it.  This is not always easy, and involves another set of nested assuptions.

In order to get us to buy Air Jordans, we must first be convinced that Michael Jordan is an honorable and believable person worthy of trust and emulation, that he has intimate knowledge of shoe technology, that he genuinely believes in the product he hawks, and that some part of his skills in basketball are due to his shoes and that we can purchase those skills with no more effort than a visit to Foot Locker.

In the same way, to believe the COVID narrative, we must first believe there is a virus, that the AUTHORITY has perfect knowledge of this virus, that they know how to mitigate the virus, and that if we buy what they are selling we can escape harm and reduce FEAR.

What has the AUTHORITY sold us to mitigate FEAR?  Do not trust our friends and neighbors.  Wear a face covering.  Do not attempt to treat yourself.  Only a new (as yet uninvented) medication can stop the FEAR.  Only listen to AUTHORITY, no one else can possibly understand what is happening.

If we sum up the messages, it would seem that we are being channeled toward global AUTHORITY and that daily contact with the people around us will somehow weaken or undermine this transition (personal experience).  SCIENCE is the only way to understand the nature of the threat.  Only AUTHORITY can interpret SCIENCE.

Taken together, it seems that we are being sold a command and control system that the average human cannot and should not question.  The punishment for not following orders is death from an invisible bogeyman called COVID.

The result is billions of humans acting entirely on instinct and FEAR.  When humans do this, they tend to rally to leaders, or AUTHORITY.  This is the "circle the wagons" effect, and it is so effective that it is ubiquitous.  Humans herd when threatened, and herds conform to whatever the leaders tell them.  It is built into our psyches and it at the heart of almost all marketing.  People buy products to conform to social norms so they can be accepted into the group to receive the protection from the unknown (FEAR) that they crave.

We are being herded.  FEAR is the sheepdog.  AUTHORITY is the shepherd.  SCIENCE is the slaughterhouse.  Our individual identity, will and independence are the targets.  The marketing team wants full control over what goes into and onto, and how we use our most primordial possession - our Selves.

In other words, the marketers want Perfect Consumers.
