Global Warming Is Neither

After five days without internet access at the house, I finally managed to get my euphemistically titled "service" provider.  As with everything Indonesia, the fault was vaguely defined as "something in the line," though from all the sweating and grunting outside, it was clear that I didn't break anything.  It might have something to do with the fact that the cable is strung through a palm tree across the way, but then maybe I'm thinking too much.

Anyway, two remarkable events happened this past week that fall directly in line with some of my pet peeves, namely "climate change" and "vaccines."  Climate I will address today, and vaccines tomorrow.

In case you missed it, which wouldn't be hard to do seeing the massive effort put into keeping the report quiet, the Mail on Sunday reported that Dr. John Bates - the guy responsible for protocols at America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the world’s leading source of climate data - had denounced a seminal paper put out in 2015 as being based on "cooked" data.

In as brief as summary as possible, various reports had claimed that "global warming" paused, or even reversed in the years since 1998.  In 2015, six months before the infamous Paris Convention on Climate was to take place, NOAA released a major study by the rather dense title of "Possible Artifacts of Data Biases in the Recent Global Surface Warming Hiatus."  The paper claimed that not only was there no "pause" in global warming, but in fact temperatures had continued to rise

The paper was almost single-handedly responsible for pushing the various leaders convened in Paris to ignore the "pause" reports and to take drastic action to battle the jabberwock of "climate change"  The Paris Accord stipulated that a group of wealthy nations would set up a fund to render aid to poorer nations damaged by global warming.  The fund reaches into the hundreds of billions of dollars over the next 20 years.

The agreement would, of course, require the "donating" governments to raise taxes and penalties to pay for the fund, and the fund would require a global bureaucracy to administer it.  This, for all intents and purposes, would create a global government, as only governments are empowered to levy and disburse tax revenues.

If the bastards can't get a global government the old-fashioned way, they will back us into it with scare tactics.

In any event, Bates' original blog post at Climate Etc. claimed that the NOAA paper was purposely rushed and that various data were "massaged" in order to achieve the desired result.  This led to a Texas congressman calling for hearings, NOAA saying it will "review" and a whole bunch of auto-bot responders on Twitter and Facebook leaping into action to try and staunch the bleeding.  The Mail on Sunday claims its article has been linked over 150,000 times in less than a week.

Obviously, people are tired of being lied to and corralled into climate panic...especially after more than 30 years of this crap.

One can be quite sure that a bunch of bureaucrats and "scientists" were roused from slumber to muddle through record cold and snow to the office to repair the global warming damage.

The fact reamins that we have been and continue to be lied to.  In this instance, the deception is so massive as to undermine the foundations of science and politics (to the extent that there is a distinction any more).  If history has not yet taught us to do so, this episode should finally get people to question anything that self-proclaimed "experts" say, and to wisely look askance at government pronouncements and "certainties".

It should also prompt us to question science itself, at least in its current form of a secular religion.  There is no such thing as "settled science".  It is a myth if not a dangerous farce.  The whole point of science is to ask questions, especially when it comes to commonly held beliefs and dogma.  The nature of science itself is a denial of the logical tautology, its only gospel is the rejection of gospel truths.

In human nature, whenever an individual or group is set up as an unquestionable source of truth, it is ripe for abuse.  Humans will use this invulnerable position for personal gain every time.  History repeatedly proves this case.  Unquestioned "truths" lead to dogmatic intransigence, which leads to authoritarian dictatorship.

If one major scandal like this comes to light, then we must conclude that more have yet to surface.  As Benjamin Disraeli warned us, the world is full of "lies, damn lies and statistics."  In the case of NOAA, we have been duped by the worst of the three.  If there is one thing we should have learned well by now, it is that "authorities" will stop at nothing to herd us in whatever direction suits them.

It is high time we realize that we are better off being each our own authority.  If there is a purpose to life, it is that we have a prefrontal cortex.

The Big Chill

It would seem that Approved Science is finally coming around to what we've been going on about for some time: the world is not warming, it's chilling.  As usual, though, they are hollering about "homo-genesis" and screaming for more grants and tax dollars to study the problem and propose a solution.

Oh, the hubris of these numbnuts, not to mention the disingenuous money-grabbing that has become so obvious in the climate "debate."  Witness such integrity in people like Al Gore and Leo DiCaprio.  I daresay Jim Bakker has more credibility thumping his Bible.

If these were genuine scientists, rather than blood-sucking leeches, then they would come to the conclusion that seems strikingly obvious to us - that the Sun is entering a low-energy phase, which is re-invigorating the on-going Ice Age.

Around here, we have often noted that the Earth is currently IN an ice age, called the Pleistocene Epoch, with speculation that the planet is transitioning to the Holocene Period, and is still in the Quaternary Glaciation Era.

In other words, real scientists generally agree that we are still in the middle of an ice age and have been experiencing a "break" in the deep freeze for the past 10,000 years.  This lucky break has allowed human civilization to develop to its current state, but we are in no way out of the woods, as it were.

In the past couple of decades, the very long warming period has stalled out and appears to be reversing, possibly moving towards another glacial period.  Though for 30 years, Clap-Trap Science has been pushing Global Warming, the fact of the matter is that our civilization probably would not be what it is without that warming, which started roughly 13,000 years ago.

In the past week, a veritable avalanche (pun alert) of articles have come out with Approved Scientists suddenly jumping on the Global Cooling wagon (again).  A number of readers have sent links to various versions of this article, which we chose to link because it focuses on the mad rush to the Tax Dollar Feeding Trough.

For those who don't remember, in the 1970s, it was oh-so-vogue to jump up and down over Global Cooling.  Then came the Global Warming movement, which dovetailed nicely with the expanding Environmental Movement (emphasis on the "mental" part).  If the world could be made to bow to the Global Warming god, then things like car exhaust and factory emissions could be regulated with a much firmer grip.  Trading the farcical Carbon Credits became a related scam, allowing wealth transfers to low-tech countries in a "hide-the-sausage" Ponzi scheme.

Carbon credits also allowed rich dippy-doobles like Gore and DiCaprio to buy consciences as they jetted around the world to their various mansions, preaching on the evils of carbon footprints.

Those of us who have two or three brain cells to rub together, and learned how to read and research in school, were not fooled by all this quasi-religious nonsense, however.  A brief study of real geology and a look at the real greenhouse effects of CO2, told us that the public narrative was, at best, misguided, and at worst, a blatant and cynical effort at global social manipulation.

My more honest liberal friends, who could concede that Global Warming may be wrong (at least as it was being promoted), admitted that it was a good way to manipulate society into a more "green" lifestyle.

While I agree whole-heartedly with conservation and propriety, I vehemently disagree with manipulating people into action based on half-truths and outright lies.  Any action taken based on a lie will never have a good outcome.  Either people will learn the truth and react badly, or the results of the action will not be the desired ones.

The facts are that the Earth is in the midst of an Ice Age, and has been for a few hundred thousand years.  On the scale of human history, Earth's climate has been rather kind to humanity for the past 12,000 years, but this is nothing compared to geologic timescales.  Furthermore, any warming or cooling is well beyond humanity's ability to manipulate either way, at least insofar as the physics that we are allowed to learn.

The Sun's output varies over short, medium and long timescales, based on processes we little understand at the current time.  In addition, the Earth's orbital eccentricity oscillates quite a bit, and the planet's poles precess over thousands of years.  These three processes alone, without any consideration of the effects of life on Earth, lead to wild variations in climate over every scale you choose to look at.

And there's not a damn thing we can do about it.

The article cited about the slowing of the Atlantic Current doesn't even mention variations in Earth's rotation, which has changed measurably due to major earthquakes in Banda Aceh and Fukushima, even before considering other natural effects.  Anyone who has ever stirred milk into coffee should instinctively realize that even tiny variations in spin can have large-scale effects on currents - air or ocean.

There are a great number of variables changing at the moment - the Sun's output, Earth's spin rate and orbital eccentricity - that are causing widespread changes in Earth's climate.  They are occurring on scales that are either too large or too small for an individual to perceive, but they can and have been measured (see all previous links).  And none of them are affected in any way by human activity.

All the money that has been thrown at human-caused Global Warming could have been much better spent researching and understanding how all of these natural processes - individually and in concert - affect Earth's climate.

That natural processes have been used to manipulate society, enrich speculators and raise taxes is both cynical and criminal.  When told the truth, people will always act in their self-interests, which in the long run will benefit everyone.  However, actions based on lies causes wrong outcomes that either do not solve the problems, or in most cases, make them worse.

It is time to stop the Global Warming nonsense, shut down the Carbon Roulette tables, cut off the unnecessary taxation, close the spigot on Big Science grants, and start the process of real education, allowing society to determine what is best for itself.

Yes, there needs to be prosecutions when it comes to Climate Change, but not the so-called "deniers," rather the gangsters, grifters and hooligans who have sprung up to impoverish us using a terrible lie.

Common Sense Is An Oxymoron

Once in a while, an article comes along that makes me slap my head at how stupid "they" really think we are.

I'm referring to this article, which discusses a newly published study describing five (read that again - five/5) small islands in the Solomon archipelago that are sinking due to rising sea levels and global warming.  Let me just cite a little of this gem:

"Researchers found rates of shoreline recession were significantly higher in areas exposed to high wave energy than more sheltered regions."

"Ten houses from one of the badly eroded islands were swept into the sea between 2011 and 2014. The five islands that disappeared were all vegetated reef islands with areas up to five hectares (12 acres), which were not populated, but occasionally used by fishermen.

"Rates of sea-level rise in the Solomon Islands over the past two decades have been amongst the highest globally, according to the study.

While overall population density is low on the islands, low-lying coastal areas are popular with the inhabitants, and those parts of the reef islands are becoming increasingly densely populated." [emphasis added]

The salient points in order are:

• erosion is highest where wave action is highest;
• ten fishing huts were swept into the sea;
• a total of 5 hectare/12 acres has been lost;
•  of the entire globe, this shows one of the highest rates of loss; and
• sinking areas are among the fastest growing areas in population density.

So, in other words, this handful of islands along one of the most tectonically active regions of the world with one of the highest typhoon rates in the world has sunk because of rising sea levels in a highly localized part of just one of Earth's vast oceans, not because of the significant wave action, high-density populations pumping ground water, tectonic and/or severe storm damage, and/or normal everyday erosion.  No, it is global warming/climate change causing "water bumps," a phenomenon hitherto unseen elsewhere in the Universe.

Please note that "water bumps" is my own term for a highly localized rise in sea levels that isn't being seen anywhere else.

As for the "houses" swept into the sea, the article just told us these were fishing huts occasionally used by local fishermen.  Now I don't know about you, but I've seen these fishing huts, and a stiff breeze or army of ants could destroy them.  This is like saying, "Ice fishing hut sinks in thawing lake," to which the proper response is, "Yeah, and..."

One must ask one's self, is it the quality of 'scientist' that our schools are producing?  Or is it cynical and disingenuous assumptions that we, the general public, are just plain stupid?

First of all, what mechanism would cause sea levels to rise in one tiny part of the Pacific Ocean, and not somewhere else?  Is it gravitational variations?  Ocean humps?  Come on!  From what I know about hydrodynamics, water always seeks the lowest level across its entire surface.  It doesn't form "water bumps" in highly localized areas.

Second, they admit right there in print that the areas most affected have the highest wave energies.  Well, slap me silly.  This must be due to global warming.  Of course!  God knows windward and leeward areas don't have different erosion profiles!

Third, increasing populations mean more groundwater pumping.  Unless these folks have figured out a way to drink sea water, they are sucking it out of wells and collapsing subsurface aquifers.  This is a common problem even in land-locked regions, such as central Texas, where the Edwards Aquifer is being sucked dry by millions of people, causing all sorts of havoc with subsidence.  

To top all this off, this loss of five small reef islands should be weighed in opposition to the addition of a dozen or more new islands in the same time period.  Now I know this will be hard to accept, but if sea levels RISE, ALL islands will slip under the waves, not five in a remote island chain in the South Pacific.  I live in a nation composed of 17,000 islands not far from the Solomons and not one single island has disappeared in the last 50 years.  The last one to do that, Kerakatau, blew up, sank and caused global cooling for two years.

At no point do studies like this address the idiocy of folks building major cities on coastal plains and river basins, and then crying because their feet get wet.  At no point is it addressed how these 'scientists' can draw sweeping conclusions from isolated facts while ignoring scads of other more likely causes because they don't fit the status-quo narrative.  And at no point is it addressed why these folks assume that we are all as stupid as they are.

It is high time to stop all governmental grants to study anything.  These piles of free tax dollars are skewing research, diminishing educational values and promoting agendas that are not in the best interests of anyone but a select few.

The only thing these types of 'research' are doing is promoting a global tax and redistribution scheme that enriches speculative high-stakes gamblers while impoverishing the rest of us.  It also creates a climate in which vast numbers of people are taking action based on complete bullshit.  And when one acts on bullshit, the results are frequently more bullshit.

Can we get a little critical thinking around here?

Now, when it comes to lying, cheating and conspiring, which side seems to show the worst characteristics?  It looks to me like the Warmists/Changists are so desperate to prove a non-existent case that they will stoop to just about any low they can find.

The fact of the matter is that the Earth has been warming since the last ice age, and that is a good thing, since it has provided both the stability and temperate climate to foster our civilization to the current point of (ahem) advancement.

As for the term "climate change," this is a meaningless word grouping and anyone who uses it to refer to anything but the weather should be shunned as a village leper.

Climate change can mean anything one wants it to mean.  It is such a broad and vague term as to have no usefulness in a serious debate on global climate.  In fact, it is nothing more than a short-hand version of, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes."

Of course the climate changes, you ninnies.  Even here on the equator, where temperatures range between 25C and 35C, day in and day out, every day, day after endless day, the climate changes between wet and dry, cloudy and sunny, windy and still.  Even at the poles, it changes from real damn cold to not quite as cold as it was the last six months.

In medieval times, people who stirred fear and chaos with verisimilitude were tied down and hot coals were placed in the mouths.  When one looks around, the only group in this debate that is consistently conspiring and colluding to punish people falsely, and spread lies and fear are the Warmists/Changists.  Seems to me the ones who need to be punished under RICO or any other law are the radical Luddites on the Warmist/Changist side.

I've pointed this out many times before, but it bears repeating, to whit:

Venus has an atmosphere that is more than 95% carbon dioxide, no magnetic field, no moon, a day that is nearly as long as its year, crushing ground-level air pressure 9x greater than Earth's, virtually no water, no publicly acknowledged life, and temperatures over 800F.

Mars has an atmosphere that is 95% carbon dioxide, a spotty magnetic field, very little free water, ground-level air pressure thinner than the top of Mount Everest, and temperatures that range from cold to really cold, no publicly acknowledged life, with two tiny moons relative to the planet's size.

Earth has an atmosphere with 0.04% carbon dioxide...READ THAT AGAIN...zero-point-zero four percent carbon dioxide.  More than 70% of its surface has liquid water.  It has a very strong magnetic field.  It has a very large Moon.  It is covered with living creatures.  Everything about the planet is conducive to all the forms of life we currently know of.

Can anyone spot the problem here?  Obviously, carbon dioxide is NOT the problem, nor is human activity.  In fact, there is NO problem that I can detect in all the HONEST data.

The Earth has experienced many warming epochs far greater than currently occurring.  It has also had devastating ice ages and glaciation.  We are currently in a recovery period from one of the ice ages.  In fact, according to REAL climate scientists who aren't grabbing at the public trough, we are STILL IN an ice age.  We have not fully recovered from the last period of glaciation.  We are in the middle of the Anthropocene Holocene epochs, where "[i]t has been identified with the current warm period, known as MIS 1, and can be considered...interglacial in the current ice age based on that evidence." [emphasis added]

In other words, we are damn lucky that it is warming right now, and at any moment that trend can reverse, and the balmy 12,000-year break our species has gotten could end with a ski season from hell.  Given the current trends in solar activity, which really controls the environment, the Sun is entering another Grand Minimum Period, in which solar heating could drop significantly.  If this is the case, then we will all soon dearly wish the Earth were warming.

People, such as the good professor named in the articles at top, are either damn fools or disingenuous fear-mongers spouting clap-trap and sucking on the public teat.  At least in the first instance, ignorance can be cured.  In the second instance, these people are truly the ones in dire need of prosecution for Crimes Against Humanity, for having wasted so much time, effort and tax dollars on pure, unadulterated bullshit.

If we are to survive the vagaries of our cosmic environment, we MUST begin with honest and open discussion of facts, not feel-good lies and false warnings.  

According to NASA, the current average temperature of Earth is 15C/59F, which many people consider to be rather chilly.  During the last ice age, the average temperature was around 12C/54F.  Sorry, but I find it very difficult to get all worked up over a handful of degrees that mean the difference between life and death.

I live in a country that is composed entirely of islands on the equator.  One would think that if the Global Warming or Sea-Level Changes were occurring, this would be the first place one could spot the problem.  However, temperatures, rainfall and sea-levels have remained remarkably consistent for the decades in which reliable records have been kept.  The only sea-level problems here are entirely due to subsidence in major coastal population centers.  Sorry folks, it ain't happening.

On the other hand, when (not if) the next ice age comes, I am sitting rather comfortably on one of the warmest spots on Earth.

It's time to shut these asinine Warmists/Changists up and start holding honest dialogues about real problems.  I guarantee that an ice age poses a more deadly and immediate problem than any conceivable amount of warming, short of a global fire storm.

Higher carbon dioxide levels and generally warmer temperatures mean greater harvests and more arable land.  Even a slight drop in temperatures will mean massive famine and migrations as all life on Earth will seek warmer climes.

If geologic history teaches us anything, it is that Earth's climate is always on the move and that status quo does not exist.  We've had a particularly long and lucky run of temperate climates worldwide, but this is not normal according to the records frozen into the trees, rocks and ice on Earth.  Only an open and honest approach to Earth's climate record will present any hope of humanity's survival at our current level of civilization.

One thing is for certain, prosecuting dissenting voices is no different from book burnings or placing Galileo under house arrest for 20 years.  It won't stop the debate and it doesn't change the facts.  Another thing is for certain, Earth's climate, shorelines and regional weather have changed radically over time, and nothing we do will alter that either way.

If someone truly denies that climates change, he is an idiot, but to label people who disagree with false statistics and manipulated facts as "Climate Change Deniers" is equally idiotic.  The term has no meaning and is nothing more than an attempt to stifle debate and emotionally castigate those who won't go along with the rape of public funds and policies.

"Professor" Kraft and his ilk should be shunned and all funds for climate study cut off until such time as the real debate can be established and honest research can be brought to the public's attention.  

This is not to say that any hands are clean in this debate, but the most provocative and dangerous rhetoric is coming from the Warmists/Changists.  The real DENIERS are the ones trying to stifle honest research and debate, not the people trying to bring unsullied data to the discussion.

People like "Professor" Kraft are pulling a classic slight-of-hand.  By establishing themselves as moral arbitrators, they deflect the Eye of Justice from themselves.  It is high time to open both Eyes!

Global Schmarming

Scientists are mystified!  They can't imagine why!  What could possibly be causing this phenomenon?

What a bunch of yutzes, is all I have to say about it.  Apparently, they are grossly overpaid and hardly smart enough to open a can of dog food.

Or, they are looking for a graceful way out of 20 years of hysterical bullshit about global warming.

Take your pick.  Personally, I'll go with option #1.

If you didn't click the link, then you may be wondering what the heck I'm going on about today.  Actually, if you google up my name, you may still find some old articles dating back to the 90s where I said, rather eloquently, that global warming was a crock.  I have never believed any of it, and have gotten into many a verbal fisticuff with true believers who thought that humans, 1) could have that great an effect on the Earth, and 2) that warming was made whole cloth out of nothing, that it was a temporary cycle in the normal weather patterns.

If you mow down every living thing and pave over the bald spot with asphalt, then stick a thermometer in the middle of it...guess what?  It's hotter!  Duh...  If you put the same thermometer in the middle of a corn field on the same day at the same lattitude...guess what?  Cooler!  Duh...

Now, these numbnutted bucketheads are using all their fancy satellites to find out that clouds, in general, are getting lower.  They are completely dumbfounded by this phenomenon.  What could possibly be causing this? How it is possible?

Listen closely, I'm only going to say this a thousand times.  The Earth is cooling.  Got it?

What does that have to do with lower clouds?  Well, it's a symptom, not a cause, as the linked article will have you believe.

Anyone who's gone up in the mountains or a helicopter can tell you that around 3,000 feet or so, it gets noticeably colder.  By the time you hit 10,000 feet, it's quite a bit colder.  Once you get to 20,000 feet, you'll need a heavy coat and gloves on the hottest day in the middle of summer.  Fact of life, that is.

So, the sun rises, heats the ground, which evaporates moisture, which causes the surface air to warm, which rises up in a convection current, carrying the evaporated moisture, until it hits the cold zone and the moisture condenses and forms what?  Oh yeah...clouds.

The lower the cold layer of air is, the lower the clouds.  As the atmosphere gets colder, the clouds will form at lower and lower levels until they become...what, kids?  Oh yeah!  FOG!

I'm tellin' ya, I should be getting millions in grant money to study these things.  For a cup of coffee and a half a pack of Oreos, I can do a damn sight better at this stuff than all those over-paid propeller heads.  Apparently, the BHP fumes from their pocket liners have eaten away their vaunted brains.

"What a moroon."

I mean, this is something they could solve with a tea kettle and A/C in their kitchen on a hot summer's day.  All the fancy gadgets and whirly-gigs are no substitute for just thinking and using common sense.  But then the readers of this site know that 'common sense' is one of the funniest oxymorons around.

What we are seeing here is the Earth's atmosphere slowing down and becoming less warm.  Because of that, the cold zone is dropping in altitude.  As a consequence, the layer at which moisture condenses out of the warm air is also getting lower.

Need further proof?  Well, if that were the case, then we would see permanent snow caps on mountains getting lower, and alpine glaciers expanding.  Guess what?  That's what the honest data is showing.  We'd also see more brutal winters.  Guess what?  Go ask a European about brutal winters.  We'd see polar ice caps not receding as much as they used to.  Guess what?  I could go on, but I think you get the point, right?

Need proof of the cold layer in the atmosphere?  Go look at clouds.  I know that not politically corrent anymore, because it causes folks to use their imagination and actually get out in nature and feel grass under foot.  But if you do, you will notice that clouds are always flat on the bottom and all start at more or less the same altitude.  The cloud bottoms show you exactly where the cold layer starts.  In fact, if you start early in the morning, you can watch clouds form at exactly that layer all day long.  Kinda cool, really (pun intended).

For those reading this who have gotten their panties all in a bunch, I will admit to believing in 'climate change.' In fact, in Texas we say, "If you don't like the climate, wait 20 minutes.  It will change."  Unless you live on the equator, like me, then all year long, the climate changes.  Yup, I'm a firm believer in climate change.  See it all the time (until I moved to Indonesia).

The other day, I was accosted on the street by a WWF fanatic.  Now, for me this is great fun, kind of like arguing with Jehovah's Witnesses who used to come to my door and try to convert me to idiocy.

Anyway, this guy asked me if I had noticed that it was gettng hotter in Jakarta the past few years.  I looked at him like he had just uttered the stupidest words ever spoken (and they were close to that).

I mentioned, somewhat politely, that this is the equator, numbnut.  It's always hot here, 365/24/7.  But no, I had not noticed it getting hotter.  In fact, the hottest I've ever seen here is 35C/95F, and a good August afternoon in Texas can hit 44C/110F.  So don't give me that 'global warming' crap.  I've seen hot that would make an Indonesian beg for mercy!  In fact, if it's hotter here at all, it's because you guys keep paving over the trees and buying more damn cars that can't go anywhere on the congested roads.  So sure, next to major arteries, it's going to be hotter, but on the scale of a planet, that doesn't even rate as a blip.

Most people go out of their way to avoid these roadside pitchmen.  This guy eventually started running to get away from me.  I will fight idiocy where ever I find it.  I will root it out and destroy it, if I can, one idiot at a time.

It's a good thing he never got a chance to bring up endangered species.

My favorite 'oops' just recently (before the clouds lowered) was that the normal mass of warm water under the Arctic ice cap, had shifted from its normal home over by Russia to northern Canada.  For this reason, they've been telling us for decades that the Arctic Sea was warming.  But now they can't figure out why the normal warm water had moved.  Hey guys!  Check the position of the water against the magnetic pole position...  Sheesh, what a bunch of moroons.

My other theory might have a better chance.  These scientific shysters have been pitching 'global warming' for decades, and have created a whole industry to try to change people trillions of dollars to eradicate the element that makes up pretty much all life on Earth (carbon).

Now they've been caught with their pants down, their e-mail shown worldwide, their theories and scare-mongering shown for what it is.  So they're looking for a graceful exit.  "Oh yeah," they say, "the sun's output has changed."  This, after years of saying the sun had nothing to do with it.  "Oh, look," they say, "the clouds are getting lower causing global cooling."  Obviously, they think we are a bunch of drooling baboons out here.

Boy, they are dancing as fast as they can to save their reputations and keep their necks out of a noose.  When you bullshit the entire world and scam trillions of dollars and make bleeding-heart numbnuts look bad, people get hurt...bad.  And by that, I refer to the 'people' who ran the scam.  Us regular folks have already been hurt...bad.

Imaging the scientidiots are cats, and they've just let loose of a mountain of poo, and now they're scratching and digging their hearts out to try and cover it up.  Live by the grant, die by the grant, I always say.

So, now that we've laid that mystery to rest, I wonder what else they will come up with?  The oceans are evaportating maybe?  NSS.

Physics And The Art Of Sun Tea

Going to show my age here, but what the hell?

Remember going to the five-n-dime as a kid and buying those balsa wood airplanes?  The ones with the big rubber band that made the propeller spin.  After you destroyed the plane, you could use the rubber band to snap your brother on the rump.  OK, hold that thought.

Now, for those who think that the sun has no influence on Earth’s climate, which if you listen to NASA you might, let’s do a couple of experiments.

First, get a big glass jar with a lid and fill it with water.  You’ll want to start this in the morning.  Put a couple of those big tea bags inside and seal it.  Now, place it in a nice sunny spot while we go off on some adventures.

Next, we climb aboard the new LFS private jet.  You know, the new Airbus transparent plane that would make Wonder Woman green with envy.  Now that we’re at cruising altitude, you’ll notice that we occasionally run into some turbulence, where the plane bounces up and down.  That’s because, as the sun warms the surface of the Earth for 12 hours a day, the surface air warms and starts to rise.  As it does, it creates a vacuum that’s filled with cold air from higher altitudes sinking.  This creates a convection current.  That one we just flew through is only one of thousands all across the sun-facing side of the Earth.  Those currents, among other things, create wind, which we use to fly balsa wood airplanes and kites.

OK, now we’re landed in Chile, despite the dire warnings about volcanic ash.  I want you to run back to the toilet and flush.  That’s all, just flush.  Notice how that pretty blue liquid swirls around in a clockwise direction?  Great!  Now we’ll head back north.  Good, now here in Europe, where the entire EU is collapsing before our eyes, I want you to run back and flush again.  Notice how the blue stuff swirls in a counter-clockwise direction?  Excellent!

That’s called the Coriolis Effect.  It’s what causes ocean currents and north-south trains to wear one side of the tracks more than the other.  It drives cyclones and anti-cyclones alike.

So, now we come back to the house and check on the tea.  It’s not finished yet, but notice how the dark tea is sliding down one side of the jar, while the clear water is climbing up the other side.  And since we’re on the equator here at LFS world headquarters, go ahead and flush the toilet one more time.  Did you see that?  The water went straight down without swirling at all.

See?  This physics stuff is really fun, isn’t it?

Why all this running around and making tea?  Because, what happens is the sun warms both the air and the oceans, causing convection currents.  Then, the Coriolis effect creates streams like the Gulf Stream current in the North Atlantic and the jet stream in the upper atmosphere.  Those streams carry the sun’s energy, in the form of heat, and distribute it around the globe in a fairly even way, so that we all experience a pretty narrow range of temperatures across the face of the Earth.

The Gulf Stream swirls around the Gulf of Mexico, picking up the nice warm water, and then carries across the Atlantic, where it releases the heat when the current slams into the west coast of Europe.  Though it’s not a lot, it’s enough to keep the permafrost out of the Queen’s Wheaties.

Back to our rubber band airplane.  Go ahead, wind it up.  Watch the rubber band as you go.  It twists up more and more, getting tighter and tighter, then…POP!  It gets one of those big knots in it, then another and another.

The ends of the rubber band are the north and south poles of the sun.  As the sun spins, its magnetic field gets wound up tighter and tighter, until…POP!  A sunspot appears, then another and another.  This goes on for about 11 years until the magnetic field turns completely inside out, and the poles reverse, clearing all the stress in the system, until the next cycle begins.  Just like letting go of the propeller on our plane and letting the stored energy out of the rubber band.  After roughly 22 years, the poles have reversed twice, so that north is back at north again.

For the past 20 or 30 years, the sun has been wildly active, spewing out tons of plasma and radiation, called coronal mass ejections, or CMEs.  They carry huge amounts of energy at blinding speed out to the far reaches of the solar system.  As a consequence of this very active period, there has been global warming on virtually every planet in the solar system. 

The oxygen levels have jumped in Venus’ atmosphere.  Mars’ polar caps have been receding at an alarming rate.  Huge new storms have appeared on Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus.  Even Pluto’s rather thin atmosphere, which at this point in its orbit usually freezes and falls to the ground, is still hanging in there.

On Earth, we’ve noted some warmer general temperatures, some polar melting and more powerful and frequent storms.  Algore and the Alarmists have tried their damnedest to convince us that it’s our fault, so they could tax us for carbon, which they don’t seem to notice is what life itself is made on, at least on Earth.  Or maybe they did notice, and the whole point was to put a tax on the biosphere itself.  Also, 0.039% of our atmosphere is carbon dioxide, so a fraction of a percent here of there really doesn’t make a whole lot of difference.  Mars’ atmosphere is 95% carbon dioxide, and it’s damn cold.  So Algore can jump off a cliff.

Anyway, I digress…

The other day, NASA came out with an announcement that there are signs the sun’s magnetic poles may not turn inside out this time around.  In fact, the whole cycle may slip into neutral for a while, if all the data points are right.  In fact, there are three discreet signs that all point towards a less active period for the sun, and that’s not good.  “Scientists” are saying it could even be the beginning of another Maunder Minimum.

Between the years 1650 and 1700, the sun spot cycle (knots in the rubber band) came to a screaming halt.  What does this concern us?  Well, it seems that the Maunder, Sporer and Wolf minima have corresponded perfectly with a drop in the global average temperature.  Also, the recently passed active period, as well as past maxima have lined up perfectly with generally warmer phases in global temperatures.

At the time of the Maunder Minimum, there was a phenomenon known as The Little Ice Age, which came directly on the heels of the Medieval Warm Period.  In other words, an extended period of increased sunspots corresponded with warmer global temperatures, followed by a period of almost no sunspots, when Europe, Russia and North America experienced incredibly cold, long winters.

Algore can take a hike at this point.  We don’t need him any more.  This is a pattern that has repeated throughout the past 400 years that records can be correlated.

If we are heading into a period of reduced solar activity, then the amount of heating on Earth will lead to cooler air and oceans.  That, in turn, will slow down the convection and ocean currents, which will cause overall colder temperatures, reduced harvests and greater reliance on fuels, such as petroleum, to keep warm…at least until you die of starvation. 

It would also cause the El Niño/La Niña cycle, which is basically warm water sloshing back and forth between Asia and South America, to slow, and even stop.  This would cause devastating droughts in some areas, and equally nasty flooding in others.

If the sun does indeed quiet down, and especially if it reaches the extremes recorded during the Maunder Minimum, then we could be in deep trouble.

One of the biggest fallacies of the whole global warming farce was that we would all bake to death.  First of all, warmer temps would have caused more evaporation from the oceans and poles, which would have increased rainfall and the amount of fresh water available.  It would have also increased harvests and gone a long way to restoring rain forests.  All beneficial to life as we know it.  People don’t catch colds when it warm, right?

On the other hand, if we head into a mini ice age, food production will drop, overall humidity will decrease, more fresh water will get locked up as polar ice, and it will take vastly more energy to keep warm.

What are some of the proposed causes of the Mini Ice Age?

Ocean currents, sunspots, volcanoes, and…decreased human population?!  You mean all this crazy talk about reducing the population could actually cause the world to freeze in the dark?  Hahahahaha!  What a bunch of loonies those warmists are.

Let’s try another thought experiment here.  Suppose we have the technology and research to lead us to believe that another mini ice age (or worse) is coming.  How would we react, given unlimited resources to make it happen?

First, we would need to store up supplies, like seed, food and other necessities.  Then, we would set out to lock up as much oil as we could get our hands on, even if it meant starting a half-dozen wars and crashing the economy in the process.  We would have to distract the masses by making them look in the wrong direction so they wouldn’t compete with our preparations, or panic in the streets.

On the other hand, the Medieval Warm Period went hand-in-hand with the Great Age of Exploration, the Renaissance and some of the most enlightened social and political thinking our civilization has every produced.

Wow!  That tea is hot, just from the sun’s rays!  Here, let me add a little sugar and some ice, and…VIOLA!  Some delicious physics!  Don’t worry, Algore and the Warmidiots tell us the sun has nothing to do with our climate, and by extension, our civilization.  So, just relax, drink your sun tea and rest assured that everything is j-u-s-t-f-i-n-e.

As an aside, if you want to study ocean currents, you need to drop markers of some sort into the water.  Color dye is one way, but is hard to see, when the background is completely black.  The best way is to use radioactive or chemical markers that can easily be traced, even by remote satellite.

What's this?!  Last year, BP dumped millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf Stream, and this year, Fukushima is dumping untold millions of gallons of radioactive water into one of the key northern Pacific currents.

Hmmm...now if you can dump these markers into the water and call them accidents, so that you can get around things like the EPA, wouldn't that be helpful?  And we can map these currents long-term to see how they are changing as the sun's output decreases.

A frequently overlooked bullet in the head of global warming theories is Mars. The Martian atmosphere is 95% carbon dioxide, yet no one would argue that the planet is in any danger of overheating. By comparason, Venus has around 98% carbon dioxide, while the Earth has only 0.04%.

That's right, look at those numbers again. Our two nearest neighbors have in excess of 90% CO2 in their atmospheres, while Earth has one-half of one percent. If Earth is in any danger of a run-away greenhouse effect, like that found on Venus, then we only need to add SEVERAL HUNDRED TIMES MORE CO2 to achieve it!

In fact, Earth's most dangerous greenhouse gas is...are you ready? Water vapor. So, we need to ban water immediately in order to control the imaginary overheating of the atmosphere!

The overheating is imaginary, since the mean global temperature of Earth has not risen significantly in over 15 years. In fact, in some places it has dropped. If you are currently in the Northern Hemisphere, you are probably shivvering, up to your keister in snow, praying for some global warming about now.

None of these facts even contemplates the events of ClimateGate, which the media have effectively buried. Here in Indonesia, almost no one has heard of it, which is why I take the time to educate anyone who will listen. In fact, the whole thing is a scam, perpetrated by factions who would charge us money to breathe.

The scam is so horrible and so evil that those involved should be tried as traitors to the entire planet and summarily hung, if found guilty of their crime.

The crime has affected the lives and property of people worldwide. It has been used to justify some of the most draconian and pernicious social manipulation ever conceived. It has also been used to create massive financial fraud and has destroyed the integrity and validity of scientific inquiry itself.

Because people have been trained by poor educational systems and media propaganda to accept wholesale the word of 'authorities' and to not pursue their own lines of inquiry, or even believe their own senses, the entire planet has been led down this path without hesitation. To paraphrase Hermann Goebbels, the lie repeated often enough becomes 'truth.'

I've had people argue that global warming may be a myth, but its aims are good and the anticipated results are necessary. To which I reply, NOTHING founded on falsehood can achieve a good result. Once peole awaken to the fact that they have been lied to, they typically react with an even greater swing to the opposite behavior.

If the goal is to reduce pollution and to clean up the environment, then that is sufficient in itself. It does not require the use of enormous lies and legal manipulations to achieve it, because the goal is valid in and of itself. Certainly, the efforts of people to reduce acid rain, lower emissions and prevent toxic wastes from entering the eco-system, begun in the US in the 70s, has resulted in better air quality, cleaner environments and less free toxins (fluoride in the water aside) for all.

However, the extreme to which this initial effort has been carried has resulted in an evil effort to control entire populations and manipulate people into giving away their wealth in order to achieve something that is not true. It is no more valid than snake-oil salesmen or Brooklyn bridge contracts. Under any set of law, fraud invalidates an agreement.

Global warming hysteria is tantamount to 'the boy who cried wolf.' By using the veil of 'science' to perpetrate this fraud, the validity and integrity of all scientific inquiry has been called into question. If this is false, then what else has been manufactured for the same purposes? Should we now throw out all results and begin afresh? Which parts of scientific research has not been manipulated to some occult end?

No apologies have been forthcoming for such rubbish as the British Met office posting on its website back in October that this would be one of the warmest winters on record, and that Britian has seen the 'end of snow,' at least for the memories of those now living.

No apologies for fear mongoring, such as shrinking Himalaian glaciers (false), melting ice caps (false) and austerity measures under the color of law that have caused immeasurable suffering on whole populations.

No apologies from Al Gore, who won Academy Awards and Nobel Peace prizes under false and misleading pretenses. Nor has he aplogized for his own personal enoumous 'carbon footprint' in the name of raising the false alarm. A classic example of 'do as I say,' if there every was one.

We have been had. We have been manipulated and cowed into accepting a falsehood with the promise of a utopia that can not and never will exist. The Earth is more than capable of regulating its temperatures and atmospheric contents, as it has done for eons, without Mankind raising so much as a fuss.

That we, as a species, could possibly have such a massive effect on a planetary scale while pursuing our daily lives is hubris at its most outrageous extreme. While the burning of hydrocarbons can have unpleasant local effects, such as smelly air and environmental toxins, it can not reach the scale of planetary disaster. Yes, the world has 'shrunk' in the past 100 years, but not THAT much.

It seems to me the best thing we, as a species, could do now would be to pause and take inventory. How much of what we think we know has been manipulated for some covert purpose, and how much is real knowledge? It seems that after 200 years of breathless scientific and technological advance, we owe it to ourselves and our progeny to step back for a time and review.

If such a massive fraud as 'global warming' could be perpetrated in such a relatively short time, then how much of physics, history and biology have also been manufactured out of whole cloth? This singlualr incident calls into question that whole thing, and if information is power, then who has the real information, because it belongs to all of us, not the select few.

The Greek mathmatician Eratothenes measured the distance to the Sun and Moon very accurately around 2,500 years ago. He was off precisely 10%, in fact. The reason was he used Egyptian surveys to determine the radius of the Earth, and thus the distances to Sun and Moon. The Egyptian government had manipulated their surveys with a 10% error in order to collect more taxes, thus is wasn't until Lelande nearly 2,000 years later that an accurate measurement was obtained.

In other words, science was set back two millennia by the greed and lies of governments and 'authorities.' Where would our civilization be now had the Egyptians provided true and accurate measurements of their lands? The Catholic church suppressed Galileo's work demonstrating the Earth was not the center of the Universe, but meerly another insignificant rock in space, thus setting back scientific inquiry on the grounds of religious dogma.

How much might was have achieved in the past 25 years, if we had not wasted so much time and effort on a lie? How many advancements were quashed because of misguided grant funding going to a massive fraud? How many more resources will be wasted on perpetuating this fraud, before we can resume real scientific inquiry?

The emails exposed in ClimateGate demonstrate that the actors within this fraud were well aware of what they were doing. Their comments show that they purposefully manipulated data, hid facts and outright lied, in order to obtain funding and support occult purposes.

There needs to be a Nurmberg trial on a global scale to try and punish the perpetrators of this fraud. The punishments must be severe enough to discourage future efforts to repeat this sort of evil. And the inquiries must reach to every level of the fraud, not just the useful idiots at the forefront in the media, but at the highest levels of society.

Myths, legends and religious dogma are fine for those who willfully adhere to them, but to enforce at the point of a gun those fairy tales on every living soul on the planet rises to the level of crime never before seen in history.

We are being charged for water, which covers 75% of the planet. We are being charged for food, which grows just about anywhere. We are being charged for breeding (marriage licenses and taxes). And they are trying to charge us for air through the auspices of 'global warming.' How many more natual and free functions of life will we pay for before we tire of this rubbish?

The time has come to stop believing and adhering to these vile lies. People should throw down their gauntlets and stare down the perveyors of this garbage heap of lies and falsehoods. Its time to take back our birthrights, which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, unhindered and unfettered by the greed and averice of controlling interests.

There are a thousand untried solutions to every problem, but we have been hoodwinked into accepting only those which line the pockets of vested interests. The solutions which keep the power and rights in the hands of the individual have been buried under mountains of steaming lies.

We have only to remove the hood over our eyes. We are complicite in keeping it in place. We are willfully following the false leaders, though we have been manipulated from birth to do so. However, that is no excuse to continue. We have the right and the duty to throw off the yoke of tyranny, no matter in what form it comes. Civilizations will remain intact, even if the paradigm by which we measure it changes.

The only 'authority' we should acknowledge is that of the Universe itself, for it is the immutable Laws of Nature that created all that we know, and which will determine the time when it will cease to exist. All else is a mirage.

'Global warming' and 'climate change' are brands which are sold to us through media and manipulation. Simply by recognizing it for what it is takes its power away. Demand real information and truthful dialogue. There are far more pressing issues to deal with and we should be applying our energy and resources to those things, and not to chasing phantoms.

I can't even stand the sight of the lying, greedy bastard.

Here's a man who took false data, made a completely bullshit movie of his pandering lectures, that was completely self-serving, and parleyed that into an Academy Award and a Nobel Prize. Hell, between AlGore, Inc., and Obama, the Nobel thing has shown itself to be a complete scam, but that's a different article.

AlGore, Inc., comes from yet another American political dynasty, whose family made their fortune off of moonshine and fleecing taxpayers, lives in a massive mansion, owns several other huge houses, a fleet of cars, and travels around the world in private jets telling us 'little useless eaters' to stop taking hot baths. F@#% YOU!

Now he's brought his little roadshow to Jakarta for three days where, get this, he will lower himself to conduct a training session for...wait for it...TEN MINUTES. That's right, he will come down from his throne for ten whole minutes to train 300 people on what he claims is a highly complex issue. Hell, it takes me more than 10 minutes to write this scathing article about his bullshit!

I guess he will spend the rest of the three days warming up his jet while kissing and hugging a tree somewhere. If one of the space-faring nations wanted to do the world a great service, they would can this duplicitous, fear-mongering LIAR and shoot him as far into the Universe as modern rocketry will allow.

Not only is AlGore, Inc., a liar and a hypocrite, he is STILL pedaling his snake oil after being completely exposed by ClimateGate. It's truly an amazing piece of propaganda to see the way he has been carefully protected by the media and other 'interests.'

And what really gets my goat is that the poor kids in this country are still taught that humans are changing the climate to destroy the world, even though the whole GlobalWarming/ClimateChange/AlGore, Inc. farce was exposed as a complete fabrication. Even though carbon levels have been much higher long before humans could have affected the climate. Even though warm periods and ice ages are much older than our pitiful little 100 years of cars and coal-fired electric plants.

The Indonesian media have carefully hidden the whole ClimateGate issue because the government and politicians stand to make billions of dollars in bribes and pay-offs to be a 'carbon-eating' nation, due to its having a bunch of trees.

Oh, sure...AlGore, Inc., will spend a few of his precious seconds imparting his wisdom to a handfull of useful idiots, but his real mission is to meet secretly with government ministers, and possibly the president, to hand out checks and promises of vast wealth for the Chosen Few who go along with the outrageous scam. He will show them how to trade their carbon credits for huge profits.

What an enormous scam!

If humans are modifying the climate, it is being done by secret military/inductrial/banking cabals using scalar physics to weaponize the climate and weather, while at the same time finally being able to tax us to f@#%ing breathe! It has absolutely NOTHING to do with cow farts, your car and coral reefs.

It has everything to do with solar output, natural cycles and transiting the galactic ecliptic. If it had anything at all to do with carbon dioxide, then AlGore, Inc., himself would be one of the most egrigious offenders, what with his constantly flapping jawbone.

How anyone, except an elite few who stand to stuff their pockets with loot, could take AlGore, Inc., seriously is beyond me. Anyone who claims to be intelligent and agrees with AlGore, Inc., in the same breath is suffering from serious cognitive dissonance.

BE SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER AT BRITISH PETROLEUM!

But where has AlGore, Inc., been during the whole Gulf of Mexico BRITISH Petroleum fiasco? Giving 10 minute training sessions in Jakarta and meeting with ministers to show how they can stuff their pockets if they just play along with the scam. He sure as HELL hasn't gone down the the Gulf of Mexico or demanded UN hearings into the BRITISH Petroleum spill or made award-winning films exposing the truth about that little incident, has he?

No, you see AlGore, Inc., receives lots of 'grant' money from BRITISH Petroleum to shut him up. That way, BRITISH Petroleum, whose refineries have killed dozens of Texans, whose drilling has killed untold numbers of people and wiped out eco-systems across the planet, can avoid any nasty attention from such a prominent crusader for the planet.

I'm all for solving real problems with real solutions. If the current solar cycle and our transit of the galactic equator are causing problems then show real evidence and present real solutions. But taxing humans for beathing and cows for farting so that mega-corporations can trade carbon credits and make billions of dollars, while lying, duplicitous shills like AlGore, Inc., can run around selling snake oil is a load of carbon-releasing cow dung.

I am absolutely fed up with elitist arschlochs running around telling us that we, the real and productive people of the planet, are the problem. It's time to pull the plug on those jerks, and fast. AlGore, Inc., should be ashamed to show his face in public by this point, not shuttling around the world in his private transportation fleet, from mansion to mansion, telling us how we are the problem, while sharing 10 minutes of his precious time to train 300 people on what he claims is one of the biggest and most complex problems ever to face humanity.

This is one of those issues that has become so knee-jerk that almost no one ever thinks rationally about it. We have all been told that carbon dioxide is the key substance that is causing a trend towards global environmental warming. We are told that in order to combat this situation, we must trade carbon credits, limit release of carbon dioxide and create global taxation and bureaucracy to combat the problem.

In other words, we must impoverish ourselves to support an unelected and unaccountable group of individuals whose job it is to limit all life on Earth to control a natural process in order to stop a problem that doesn't exist.

Do I have that right? The only way we can combat this supposed problem is by sterilizing ALL LIFE ON EARTH?

If I remember my high school biology correctly, all life on Earth are CARBOM-BASED. We need carbon to exist (with the possible exception of NASA's bullshit arcenic microbes). This is the biggest pile of excrement from the backside of a male bovine I have ever heard! The whole global warming/climate change issue is based on research that has been shown and admitted as rubbish, and to offset our BREATHING, we must buy "carbon credits," which basically amount to promises to plant some grass somewhere in the world to absorb the breaths I take. In other words, I can take a picture of some plants and show them as evidence that my 'carbon footprint' has been ameliorated.

But wait! What's this?

Respiration rates of plants are sensitive to temperature changes. Plants take in carbon dioxide during photosynthesis in the day, and release it during respiration at night. But they don't necessarily photosynthesize and respire at the same rates. Eventually half of the CO2 they use in photosynthesis is released back to the atmosphere by plant respiration

In other words, we must offset our carbon bootprint by planting organisms that also release carbon dioxide. Am I just stupid or what? It there something I'm missing here?

The whole global warming issue is a farce. Hackers got hold of email and documents that included communications from one of the leading 'scientists' in the field, which admitted that the data did not show global warming and in some cases even admitted falsifying data to make it fit the story. Furthermore, Al Gore told us that all scientists in the world were in complete agreement on the issue, but if I remember my schience training right, issues are never settled but are open to investigation at all times.

Of course, the whole thing has been repackaged as 'blimate change,' because global warming has been shown to be bogus. In fact, global temperatures have not risen, and have in fact fallen over the last 15 years. So, as 'climate change,' we can now outlaw seasons and deserts and even oceans, since they cause changes in seasons and climates.

Hell, you can drive across Texas and watch the climate change at least five times between Orange and El Paso. That's right, in 24 to 48 hours (depending on speed traps), you can change from coastal plains to diciduous forests to foothills, to alpine to high desert to mountains. Each one is, by scientific definition, a 'climate.' And each of those climates change on an annual cycle called 'seasons.'

One of the prophets of 'climate change' is a man who owns half of dozen mansions, several private aircraft, a fleet of private cars, and flies around the world, using piles of kilowatt hours of electricity to flap his jaw releasing pounds of carbon dioxide to tell us that we are the problem. "Mr. Internet" should be reforesting North America in order to offset his activities to tell us that life is the problem.

By that measure, BP should be reforecting the entire Earth to offset just one of the environmental assaults it has carused.

In fact, the whole issue is related to corporate efforts to patent DNA. 'They' want to tax and control not only the building blocks of life, but the very products of life itself. 'They' can therefore charge you to live, eat, reproduce, and deficate.

There is only one solution to the whole problem: remove legal codes that make corporations legal 'persons' and make all members of a corporation personally liable for any and all crimes committed by the organization. Simple. You'd see the world change overnight. That one single act would defang every evil on the Earth in one fell swoop.

The cause of all the problems in the world today come down to one simple concept: the corporate veil. This is a legal concept that says that the individuals who make up a corporation are not personally responsible for the actions of the corporation as a whole. Yet, who makes the decisions that control the actions of corporations? This one concept protects the CEOs and CFOs from personal responsibility for the damages caused by the organizations they control.

Don't you wish you had that personal protection from the results of your actions?

The corporate veil is further enhanced by the legal concept that corporations are legal 'persons.' Under western law, 'persons' are legal entities, not living, breathing human beings. 'Persons' have no conscience and therefore must be regulated in order to enforce 'ethical' behavior. Remember that ethics and morals are not the same. Morals are tautologies that exist across time and space. Ethics can change according to trends and fads. Morals have esoteric and philosophical implications, while ethics can change on a whim.

That's why things like carbon credits, genetic modification and abortion can meet the strictest ethical scrutiny and still be immoral. Ethics are situational and morals are not. Corporations can be completely ethical and moral travesties at the same time, and not be contradictory.

Ethics are subject to rule of the majority, morals are not. That is the basis of our natual rights. It can be ethical to disarm individuals, but it is immoral. It is ethical to license an individual who is operating a personal travel machine, but it is immoral to restrict the right to travel. It is ethical to institute a 'Fairness Doctrine,' but it is immoral to limit the free exchange of ideas. Taxes can be ethical, but are never moral. The list goes on.

Destroy the corporate veil and you destroy the ability of organizations to behave ethically while ignoring moral considerations. When individuals are personally liable for their actions, and unable to hide behind legal constructs, they will default to the strictest interpretation of their actions so as to avoid direct liability.

The very legal foundation of our laws is, in fact, the cause of our greatest woes. Recall the 'butterfly principle,' where a single small movement in one part of a dynamic system causes huge effects in another part. The corporate veil is that one small movement. By destroying that, we are able to dramatically change the outcomes in other parts of the system. If the heads of Merck, BP, ExxonMobil, McDonald's, and other mega-multi-national corporations were personally libale for the outcomes of their actions and decisions, do you think we would see major changes in the way the world works? If the boards of JPMorgan/Chase or GoldmanSachs or Lehamnn Bros. were personally responsible in a court of law for the damage they do, do you think we'd have the economic mess we have today?

It all boils down to being precise in our definitions of ethics and morals. As anyone knows who has planned and executed a major project, it's the smallest detail overlooked that will bring down the greatest of plans. We need to correct the small detail now, and that detail is the 'corporate veil.'

As the old saying goes:

For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

Mediots, Thy Name Is Psychotic

Lest anyone think my rants and raves about media and mind-control are vacuous or specious, I present Exhibit A.

This dandy bit of filmaking is a prime example of so many arguments, that I hardly know where to begin. It comes to us from the 10.10 crowd, whose link I will not suffer to include here. They are seeking to get everyone on Earth to reduce their "cabon footprint" by 10%, beginning on October 10 (10.10, get it?).

This bit of tripe was supposed to be "pythonesque," and succeeded in mimicking the form, but not the substance. Now, had they followed their own arguments to their logical conclusions, they would have shown a crack suicide squad of 'greenies' run into the classroom and demonstrate their commitment to reducing their "carbon footprints" by falling on their own swords. That would have been both pythonesque and funny.

So, back to this little gem of propaganda...where to begin? Let's start with the smallest issues and work up, shall we? The producers completely misused this form of humor (which was on purpose, as we shall see), the film uses a very standard type of propaganda technique and the whole issue of global warming/climate change is a ruse that requires so many logical fallacies that invalidate the argument almost from the moment a proponent opens his or her mouth.

The first point requires a knowledge of how humor works and how to use it effectively. One assumes that using "40 industry professionals" to create this bit of claptrap would have produced something truly funny.

The first rule of this kind of humor is that it must be self-effacing and reflexive. In the video, 'true believers' are shown slaughtering without remorse anyone who does not agree with them. Not funny. Rather, this is shocking and sick-making. To be funny, the violence must do two things: it must be self-directed and it must be over the top and not realistic. Thus, the pythonesque 'crack suicide troops' in The Life of Brian, or the classic 'bleeding tennis players' are funny, wasting kids and office workers who don't comply is not.

Surely, with the talent that was collected to produce this 'thing' would have known that, being 'top professionals,' and all. Also, having produced projects similar to this in my career, I know that it was vetted by committees and test audiences, which means there are several hundred pairs of eyes out there attached to very sick minds.

I would have been far more subtle and effective, I think. I mean, the first idea that comes to my head is a man wiping lampblack with his finger and showing to the camera (you) while saying, "This is carbon." Next we cut to various scenes of Al Gore on his Mission from God, with the voice-over saying, "This is Al Gore leaving his giant mansion, flying on his private jet all over the world and talking to 'true believers.' Cut back to the narrator as he asks, "Any questions?" Or instead of Al Gore, we are shown the cremated remains of a human body. Same message.

The next point is that this mental virus uses a very common form of mind-control to propagandize the audience. The technique uses shock to destabilize the conscious mind and keep it busy trying to analyze what it has just seen, while subtle messages are pumped into the sub-conscious mind, bypassing the usual filters in a person's psyche. A classic example of this is 9-11. The shock of the images and events completely overwhelmed the conscious minds of viewers while piles of hidden messages were being installed: you are under attack, muslims are bad, petroleum fires can destroy steel and concrete, homeland is in danger, etc. This caused a standard 'circle the wagons' effect and left people scrambling for anyone who could explain what they had just witnessed. Unfortunately, that person was none other than the Supreme idiot, George Dubya.

The the techniques were used in a way that was rather blunt and unrefined, and because the first objects of murder were children, one must assume that the target audience is children. Adults can easily filter these images, even if they are not aware of the mind-control and propaganda techniques being used. However, children see themselves being attacked at school, daddy attacked at the office and their sports stars attacked at practice. Combined, these images keeps their minds destabilized for a full four mintes while subconscious suggestions are installed: conform or die, if you are not good you will kill your parents, your heroes are wrong and evil, etc.

For the adult audience, there is a much more subtle message at the end. This uses a technique called 'transference,' which transfers symbolic meanings from one object to another, and can be very powerful if done well. To do this, they have chosen Gillian Anderson to voice the narration. She is trotted out to transfer her cultural icon of Dan Scully, from the X-Files series of TV shows and films. You may recall that her character was the skeptic who played foil to Fox Mulder's true believer. Her role in this film is voice-over, yet we are shown her face to make sure that we sub-consciously recall the skeptic icon and then transfer it to the issue of Global Warming/Climate Change. In other words, her character in the X-Files became a true believer by witnessing events over and over that proved Fox's contentions. Therefore, the viewer is led to think that if she is convinced of Global Warming/Climate Change, then it must be true. Very subtle and took me a minute to catch it. Probably the most effective part of the schlock, though they made the mistake of chasing away their audience before they delivered the coup d'grace.

Finally, we need to address the logical fallacies of the whole Global Warming/Climate Change argument. This quasi-religion espouses the idea that human activity over the past 200 to 300 years has radically altered the Earth's climate to the point that humanity is facing extinction. Gosh, were do we begin? There are so many assumptions and false choices and ad hominem attacks involved, not to mention outright fraud on the part of supposed 'authorities' and 'researchers.'

First of all, we must recall ClimateGate, in which last year, the personal e-mails of a number of 'top experts' in the field of Global Warming/Climate Change were released just before the Copenhagen climate summit. They revealed what can only be termed as fraud and malice aforethought. The intent and de facto efforts of a number of people to falsify, alter and obfuscate data in order to deceive great numbers of people invalidates the entire argument. One can not salvage anything from that smoking heap of trash. Building an argument is like building a house: if one creates a bad foundation, then the entire structure crumbles. There is no picking through the rubble to see what is still usable.

Let's just take a few undisputed facts, shall we? One, the Earth's climate vacillates between hot and cold on scales ranging from yearly to thousands of years. Two, all of the planets in the solar system have been showing signs of climate change for the past 25 years. Three, a single volcanic eruption spews out more greenhouse gasses in a single event than all of humanity's efforts over the past 500 years. Four, the average global temperature over the past 15 years has been steady or dropping (thus the change from Global Warming to Climate Change, since we weren't warming any more). Five, warming cycles, even in recorded history, have been far more drastic, and pre-date the use of fossil fuels on a mass scale. Six, carbon is a very weak greenhouse gas, compared to methane and water vapor (i.e.-all natural byproducts of life itself). Seven, all life as we know it is carbon-based, exhales carbon (except plants which inhale it during daylight hours) and coral reefs are built with carbon. So all these things are part of the problem.

I could go on ad nauseum, but I think you start to see the point: in order to achieve what the Global Warming/Climate Change numbnuts want, significant amounts of life must be extinguished, and the whole thing is predicated on scientific fraud. This doesn't even begin to address the role of the Sun in Climate Change, or the involvement of electro-magnetic forces in the cycles of planetary cycles. In other words, we as a species hardly understand what we are talking about, much less how to manipulate it to our advantage.

The natural conclusion of the Global Warming/Climate Change argument is that great amounts of life must be extinguished in order to maintain a climate that is suitable for some ideal standard that is completely arbitrary. Furthermore, most of the people who espouse GW/CC also believe in evolution, which posits that life adapts to external stimulae, therefore they are denying our right as a species to evolve based on external changes.

Frankly, the whole thing is insane and is so easy to pick apart. I just took the low-hanging fruit here, but with several hours of your time, I could easily pull the whole thing apart line by line. And that's just off the top of my head.

In conclusion, the film linked at the top of this screed can be seen for what it is: a propagandistic min-control tool to sub-consciously force conformity on children, whose minds are not yet ready to filter such filth. Furthermore, it espouses an idealism that is clearly fraudulent and logically unsound, containing multiple internal fallacies, as well as denying other arguments upon which these same people rest their worldview.

Frankly, I am both apalled and amused. Apalled that these people would resort to such crass and blunt attempts to force us into submission, and amused that they have shown their hand so clearly and publically.

This ditty of a film, combined with ClimateGate, should easily demonstrate to any thinking person that the GW/CC argument is a dead-letter, and show that by resorting to this kind of crap, thay are aware of it and desparately trying to save their precious religion.

But, of course, you and I are much smarter than that.
