We at the Far Side World Headquarters (FSWHQ) hereby dub today "Twilight Zone Day," in honor of the late, great (and fellow smoker) Rod Serling. What happens tonight when the vote-counting starts is anybody's guess, at this point, but one thing is certain: tomorrow we wake up in the Twilight Zone.
No matter how you slice the US election, or even whether you live in the country or its various territories, the winner of today's poll will have a profound effect on the world at large, and the relative anger or joy of the puppeteers will most assuredly be reflected in economic terms going forward. In either case, we are likely to see a whole slew of indictments handed out in the coming months, though I understand that Hillary Clinton can't be touched as long as she wins the office. She is, however, likely to be a "lame duck" president even before she takes office - much as Nixon was in 1973, a period of history well familiar to Mrs. Clinton.
In any event, tomorrow we will have the Carnival Barker or Cruella deVille holding the trigger on one of the largest nuclear arsenals on Earth, and a great many brush fires around the world to put out or fan into a bonfire, as the case may be.
We here at FSWHQ have no horse in this race. If ever there was a time to keep one's hands clean, now is it. No matter what the outcome, there are going to be a lot of pissed off people, and not all of them will be US citizens. Within the coming year, we fully expect to enjoy the right of saying we told you so, no matter what the outcome, and like Pontius Pilat, our hands will be spanking clean when the time comes.
Being a political atheist means never having to regret making a bad decision, of which there are several to choose from this election season. The most applicable term is "buyer's remorse." The way we see it, we get nothing from the government (except a passport for which we paid cash), so we invest nothing in the game (except the $100 for a passport). In the same way we don't buy products that offer us no benefit, we don't buy anything coming out of or going into Washington, D.C. Simple market economics.
In any event, today marks the end of the War of Words and the beginning of the real war. If Hillary wins, half the states will start secession proceedings. If Donald wins, the other half will start. Neither candidate is likely to be safe nor effective. They will both have significant opposition to any of their efforts, though the military is more likely to go into full revolt under Hillary. If Donald wins, the Wall Street/Bankster cabal are likely to crash the economy out of revenge. Either way, the immediate future ain't pretty.
So hitch up your pants and settle back for the show of a lifetime. As we have noted numerous times, this election will settle nothing. It is only the opening salvo in an ongoing process of dissolution. Regardless the outcome, the US is going the way of the old Soviet Union, with the only major difference being the speed at which it happens. No entity can sustain a debt economy, and at this point, that economy includes every political entity on Earth. The planetary economy is a closed system by design, since scarcity enriches those who control the resources. However, being closed, that system is doomed to failure as its core eats itself from the inside out.
In a sense, this is a natural process as civilization evolves from ancient tribal model to global integrated model. This primary issue is who will control the new system and will it be open or closed.
Today's election is not the culmination, but the revelation of the two primary poles of the new global dynamic. Globalization is inevitable, but will it benefit the majority of Humanity, or suck the life-blood out of it? The enemy has been engaged and the real Battle for the Future is upon us.
Stand by. We are about to find out who has the initiative.

Git A Rope
Today's soundtrick: Making Plans for Nigel by the brilliant XTC.
There is a basic flaw with the thinking of folks who think Donald Trump will win the election tomorrow. The flaw is that they actually think they can beat the game when playing on someone else's home field.
This is an issue I've addressed many times before, and it involves the fact that the System is set up to tilt the table in favor of the ruling establishment. They have spent years installing all the buttons and levers to guarantee themselves that no matter what happens, they win.
In the case of politics, when you control the voting machines, the vote counters, the courts, the legislative powers, the executive powers, and you have all the fun guns, there is no way in hell anyone else will ever win under that system.
Take a look at Brexit. The world shook when the vote came out in favor of leaving the EU. The gloom-and-doomers told us that the UK was toast. The EU bigwigs lamented the insanity of British voters. The pro-freedom folks jumped for joy. Nigel Farage became a hero of the downtrodden.
It took what...five months for the British courts (e.g. the System) to shoot the whole thing out of the water with parliamentary gobbledygook. The System is invincible. There is only one way to win. Everything must be torn down and new institutions must be built.
Oh sure, Hillary Clinton may get thrown under a bus. The nest of insider apparatchik may be purged. A few folks may even go to jail. Same thing happened during the Reagan administration, and look how he's been made a glorious patron saint of revolutionary fervor. None of it makes a bit of difference, because the System survives and the power behind it goes on with only a minor irritation s they replace their servants and apparatchiks. Fear not...the pile of curricula vitae is stacked rather high with wannabes.
Throughout history, the only revolutions that have succeeded were the ones that knew, (a) the current System had to be utterly destroyed, and (b) they had a fairly good idea of what they wanted to replace it. The problem with the current revolutionary fervor is that they think the current System is pretty nifty and they just need to clean up a bit. Sorry, but that's akin to pulling weeds that just keep growing back because the roots are still there.
It's not enough to vote in favor of Brexit or throw the Bush-Clinton Cabal in jail. All that accomplishes is relieving the symptoms without curing the disease. It makes everyone feel good and they can clap each other on the back and congratulate each other on such a wonderful victory, while the true perpetrators just dig in a little deeper and massage the System a little to make sure those tactics never succeed again.
In other words, it's like the antibiotic craze - if you don't take the full course of medication, then all you do is select the strongest germs to survive and breed. Ultimately, you get "super bugs" that are immune to all current therapies and are more aggressive and effective at killing the host.
There is no indication that the current revolutionaries in the world right now have the fortitude or desire to do the job completely and effectively. They are all focused on pulling tails off of lizards without thinking about the critter's ability to grow a new one.
To beat another metaphor to death, the current batch of revolutionaries are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, thinking a little order will stop the inevitable doom that awaits them.
The GlobalRev is doomed to failure unless and until folks realize that the only way to win is to completely destroy everything, which is why real revolutions are so rare. Most people aren't ready or willing to go that far. At some point, most folks get angry enough to rearrange the deck chairs, but no one wants to go down in the engine room and plug the hole because they'll get wet and maybe drown in the icy waters. For a revolution to succeed, those who choose that path must be prepared to be utterly ruined and likely killed in the process, and certainly everything that they know will be gone when they are finished.
How many people voting for Trump, or at least cheering the downfall of Clinton, are prepared for a real revolution? Likely a handful, if even that many. They all think clearing out the VISIBLE criminals and brushing out the cobwebs by installing a new head on the monster will fix things.
I hate to pop your bubble, but it ain't gonna happen.
Even if Trump gets elected, and makes it to Inauguration Day, it will only be a matter of months before the real power brokers have him mired in scandal and effectively neutralized. Don't believe me? Look at the Brexit experience. Same difference.
Here's one experience people rarely if ever think about.
Most people agree that the Enlightenment period of history produced profound changes in the way folks saw the world. Even people who have no idea what the Enlightenment was still enjoy individual rights of free speech and the right to vote, and all those other really cool ideas. Most people, however, don't know that the Illuminati was established to make those Enlightenment ideals a reality by destroying monarchy and installing new republics under constitutional law.
Today, the Illuminati (Enlightened Ones) are almost universally reviled, even by the people think the Enlightenment was a pretty good idea. Why is this? Because the Illuminati revolutions in the USA and France - among others - didn't completely eradicate the old System. Like the strongest bacteria that survive antibiotics, the survivors went underground and spent centuries retaking their power. The result is what we see today infecting the entire world. In fact, they learned to survive underground from the Illuminati themselves, who had survived centuries of persecution that left the strongest survivors to continue the fight.
Sorry folks, but GlobalRev is doomed to failure. It's a fact. No one has the stomach for the real work that needs to be done. The existing System must be utterly, finally and completely destroyed or today's problems will only spring up again at some future point, and then it will be stronger and more invincible, requiring even more destruction to rid the world of its errors.
I know it's not a happy or encouraging thought, but it is one that we all need to keep firmly in our minds as the indoctrinated masses go to the polls tomorrow. No matter who wins, we all lose. It's an historical fact.
What would a real revolution look like?
Well, tomorrow, instead of going to the polls, millions of people surrounded every level of government, from precinct to national, arrested every single individual holding public office, and lunched them on the spot.
Don't believe me? Go read up on the great revolutions of history. Every one of them starts with a bloody purge. Just read up on Louis XVI of France. Or maybe the Illuminati might be more instructive.

Toxic Authority And GlobalRev
If up to now, you have been unable to see social engineering in practice, then I invite you to read one of the most disgusting and gut-wrenching trends currently sweeping higher-indoctrination (universities).
Duke University offers safe space for "men" to contemplate their "toxic" masculinity
Google search results
This disgusting piece of slime-sucking social engineering wants to convince men that they are evil simply for existing and that being needy, emotional basket-cases is what the world truly demands from the male of the species.
Heave. Barf. Puke.
This rubbish is the culmination of the destruction of the family, cultural degeneration of fathers and the rising dominance of the true toxin: militant feminism. All of the examples of "toxic" masculinity given in the many articles on this trend (Orlando massacre, Schwarzenegger, etc.) are actually examples of toxic ideology and have nothing to do with gender. It's like using Lizzie Borden as an example of Toxic Femininity.
Society has, for centuries, had its own controls over excessive male puffing. There are dozens of examples in culture of primping, preening males being brought down by their own egos and self-aggrandizement, and the process works for any gender by focusing on the personality disorder, not the "toxicity" of one's gender.
Imagine the poor men who buy into this rubbish. They can never get better. They will always be men. And now they will have a life-time burden of hating themselves because a tiny segment of society wants to emasculate men in order to rid itself of competition.
There is nothing wrong with masculinity. Women are attracted to strong, self-confident and thoughtful men. It is a natural, genetic function based on hormones which trigger electro-chemical responses overlaid with socio-cultural mores. It has worked for at least the duration of civilization's 12,000-year history.
What is being called "toxic" masculinity is actually a result of Western culture's decline, with its lack of of self-discipline, anti-intellectualism and a desire to conquer Nature, and is not limited to males, as Hillary Clinton and her ilk clearly demonstrate. Society's obsession with all things physical at the expense of the intellectual and spiritual has set it on a course of self-destruction that is showing up in concepts such as "toxic masculinity." This concept belies a deep-seated self-hatred on the part of the culture, which has completely lost its natural moral compass.
There is nothing wrong with masculinity, just as there is nothing wrong with femininity. Both are, much to the chagrin of political correctness police, completely natural functions based on eons of genetic and social development. Western culture, primarily through the influence of the Roman Church, has decided that Nature is inherently evil and must be subjugated to human will. It is a logical, though perverse conclusion of the concept that Creation is corrupt and incomplete, and must be perfected.
This strange dichotomy between profession of a perfect god and the imperfection of his creation has, over centuries of development, led to the idea that Mankind is not beautiful in and of itself, but rather must be polished through the use of engineering, whether social or technological.
This deep-seated concept has been further perverted by small groups with opaque motives into the idea that somehow the feminine is perfect, while the masculine must be subverted and destroyed. Thsi is akin to yin telling yang it is no longer needed, though the balance of the Universe depends on the juxtaposition of both.
All of this is nothing less than an alchemical working. The ancient idea that Mankind "fell" from a state of perfection (the androgyn) to one of imperfection (the genders), and must now be "elevated" once again to its original state, has permeated and informed Western philosophy for a very long time. Thus, the obsessive push to create technology that dominates Nature and the on-going social engineering to destroy gender identity and recreate the androgyn.
Contrast this to the Buddhist philosophy that all humans are unfinished gods that must, through introspection and good works, perfect ourselves into the deities that we truly are. In the persons of Siddhartha and Guanyin, both genders are shown to be perfectible in themselves as expressions of Nature's duality.
West: god is a third person who created flawed Nature and is deeply disappointed with the outcome.
East: the individual is a work in progress whose goal is to attain the status of god.
This underlying assumption of flaw has led to ages of cultural finger-pointing trying to blame one part or another of ourselves for the original offense against a separate and distant god.
The fault does not lie with our Natures - male/female, man/woman, masculine/feminine. The fault lies in the fundamental assumptions we have made in our philosophical outlook on the Universe, and we are paying for that fault by attacking our very Natures. This is, in effect, an intellectual and spiritual cancer that is eating Western civilization from the inside out. It doesn't help matters that certain groups are using this fundamental misconception against us for achieve whatever ends they have in mind. Why, it's almost as if this core flaw was purposefully installed to allow manipulation of society at will - a very subtle control mechanism buried deep in the structure of civilization itself.
An unarticulated, and quite possibly unknown aspect of the current GlobalRev is likely an innate "reset" button that Nature has installed in each of us. This worldwide movement against centralized authority and mental control is likely the thing that certain groups have tried for so long to find (through genetics) and uninstall. Perhaps that is the real goal of vaccines and GM foods - to short-circuit the "reset" button that has stymied the "authorities" for so long now. Humans have a default setting that has been the bane of every attempt to subjugate Humanity. I suspect, though, that the reset button does not exist in physical reality, and so is beyond the ability to affect its function or existence.
In the end, all of these attempts to rewire Humanity are absurd, futile and ridiculous. The Great Reset Button is ultimately beyond the physical plane and is installed in Nature itself, which can never be subjugated, because Nature cannot be forced to destroy itself.
These silly "toxic masculinity" courses may work for a while, but in the end they are doomed to fail. Perhaps focusing on perfecting who and what we are, rather than fighting it is the true Path to Enlightenment. The real GlobalRev is a realization of our fundamental assumptions and a mass correction of our philosophies.
As the meme says, "Question Everything," but most especially question authority of every kind.

Strange Gods, Foreign Altars
As a political atheist and long-time evangelist for shunning of all that is government, I must admit that I am positively giddy watching the festering pus ooze out of Washington DC this week. One this we can be absolutely sure of at this point is that the fun will not end on 8 November.
All my hard-core Democrat friends who have brushed aside the obvious corruption not only in the Clinton crony circle, but within the party itself are suddenly silent. For the past eight months, at least, they have bombarded us reasonable people with pro-Clinton/pro-Democrat posts on their Farcebook walls, but since last Friday, the steady stream of "me too" material has grown deathly quiet.
My quite vocal opinion has always been that all government at all levels everywhere and at all times is corrupt. There are about seven people in the world who could maintain their integrity in the face of that much power and money. The level of corruption increases exponentially with the degree of centralization, as well, to the point you get people like the Clintons who are so corrupt as to be like a Stage IV squamous cell carcinoma that has riddled its host with death and destruction.
If We the People can maintain the level of pressure currently coming to bear on the corruptors in power, then the next year or so could see the most shocking revelations coming forward about nearly every institution and organization with political ties. And frankly, it's about time.
I believe that the current trend to turning over rocks, combined with the global revolutionary spirit, is a combination ripe for a huge wave of political upsets. It continues a trend that has literally been brewing in the States since the JFK assassination, through Watergate and Iran-Contra, on into the 9/11 conspiracy. Most folks believe there is a hidden set of rulers pulling the strings, in one form or another. One would have to be in a stupor or willfully ignorant not to see some amount of manipulation.
However, we appear to be a a point where it will no longer be possible to "sit on the fence." Until now, a great many people have gotten by thinking that a certain amount of corruption is just part of the game, but we will soon be faced with a depth and breadth of corruption that there will only be two kinds of people left standing: those who benefit from it, and those thoroughly disgusted by it. There will be no gray area.
Based on what I am seeing in the "underground" media (ALT media has been co-opted by the System), what has been made public so far is just the barest scratch on the surface. When the full disclosure begins to hit the mass mind, it will be akin to explosive swamp gas being released in a magnificent flash of realization that we have all been deeply and cynically controlled for a very long time.
What's more, the truth will be so shocking as to leave the majority of folks in a complete stupor, as they have so thoroughly convinced themselves that it's just "power and money," that the real thing will simply pop every circuit break in their minds.
The initial reaction will be a lot of people not only denying the facts, but violently opposing any further attack on their sense of reality. This is a very dangerous point in time when the masses will turn violently against the messengers. That would be bad enough, but the criminal class tend to take advantage of that backlash and convert it to an army in their defense.
This moment of realization that everything we have taken for granted is wrong is a particularly vulnerable moment and a shrewd elite can use it to push the mass mind even deeper under their control. The vast majority of people don't want to be awakened and they will gladly accept a plausible means to suppress reality once again and return to their quiet desperation of willful ignorance. I suspect this inflection point will be upon us sooner than later.
The true nature of the horrors that have gone on under our very noses is so stunning as to even cause the hardened mind to recoil from the shock. Those of us who have studied this issue for many years have gone through it a number of times, as the rabbit hole gets deeper and deeper.
Things like "pay-for-play" and "election rigging" are so pedestrian as to be laughable to serious researchers. However, those issues are just the lead-in to much greater horrors if the mass mind can get past the shock of actually having proof of these minor issues.
We are in the process of peeling away the covers off of strange gods. Up to now, we have only peeked into the gloom beneath the cover and trends show that we will likely see a lot more before this process is finished. Those of us with strong minds should not only be prepared for what is coming, but should also steel ourselves to be surrounded by millions of lost and frightened people. Many will panic as their complacency is torn away and they are forced to gaze upon the ugliness that runs the world. They will fight their own senses with violent recoil, and as I've noted before, panicked masses are ugly in their own right.
Ironically, in their panic, the masses will turn to the "authorities" who caused the horror for comfort and a return to "normalcy." The "authorities" will offer soma and sitcoms to sooth the monkey mind and the hypnosis will grow even deeper. The masses will be directed to attack those who brought out the truth as being the cause of the panic and the draconian fist will slam down hard on the perceived "threats."
This is a very dangerous intersection in history, not only for the unprecedented scope of the problem, but because of the refinement of the tools available to the "authorities" to entrance the masses. People don't like to be pushed to make unpleasant choices and realizations, and they will fight tooth and nail to avoid it.
By the same token, the "authorities" are panicked because their precious positions of privilege are at risk, not to mention their very lives. They, too, will fight tooth and nail to maintain their hegemony over the mass mind.
The question is the speed with which the truth will be revealed. If it is trickled out, the masses will have time to assimilate and activate. If it is a flood, minds will snap shut, eyes avert and the spell will get deeper. It is a delicate balance of necessity versus practicality. Only time will tell which will triumph.
In either case, the Clinton scandals are only the beginning. Now that we have found the tumor, we will begin to see how far it has metastasized. No one wants to hear they are sick, and especially that they are dying of an aggressive disease.
We are in for a really nasty ride. Check that your seat-backs and tray tables are in their upright and locked positions. Turbulence ahead.

Are You A Zero TeeVee-er?
"For Phelps, it's less about saving money than choice. She says she'd rather spend her time productively and not get "sucked into" shows she'll regret later." [emphasis added]
That's right, there's even a name for it now. We are called the Zero TVers - people who don't watch, don't pay and don't follow traditional TeeVee habits. What's more, we don't miss it and don't care about it.
Why pay for something I never use? I don't have time for TeeVee, and when I have time for a little entertainment, I pull out an e-book, listen music or watch one of the 500 classic movies in my collection. There is nothing in the insipid universe of broadcast/traditional TeeVee that even remotely interests me. In fact, the last show I remember really following religiously was David Lynch's Twin Peaks, though I confess to the occasional Star Trek TNG or Stargate SG-1.
For the most part, though, I have always found reading to be far more enjoyable, and I can do it even when the power goes out, which is a rather common occurrence here in the Archipelago.
I pay for broadband internet access, yet despite the wealth of passive viewing activities available at my fingertips, I still prefer to browse the Gutenberg library or listen to interviews with thinking people, like those available on Radio Far Side.
It used to be I was a freak of nature. One couldn't join in the office scuttlebutt without enduring extended conversations about inane TeeVee programs that I never watched, nor had interest to follow. However, according to the article linked at the top, there are 5 million US households, and many more globally, I'm sure, that are turning away from 'traditional' viewing habits.
And this is scaring the shit out of the 'old media'. Couldn't happen to a finer bunch of a**holes, as far as I'm concerned.
For two generations (at least in the States), a cabal of corporate interests has had a monopoly on the eyeballs and brains of millions of people. They could fill our heads with their ideas and create demand for their products by putting us in alpha-wave states and zapping messages directly past our conscious defenses. Their news outlets were the gold standard of social awareness, and they thoroughly abused us by telling us what to think.
Websites like this one, that aim to invoke thought rather than stifle it, are springing up like clover in the alfalfa. The various video outlets, like vimeo.com, are delivering quality content produced far outside the constraints of corporate mind-control. About as close to MSM as many people come is scanning the Drudge headlines before the first auto-refresh.
The monolithic media are scrambling to find a way to lure you back. As the linked article says, this topic is one of the top priorities at NAB this year. They are using shocking and lurid content. They are trying new gee-gaws like 3-D. They are testing pay-per-view sites in various pricing schemes to see which will attract the most eyeballs.
But with nearly half the global population online, and a significant number of those producing free or very low-cost quality content, who needs the high production-value mind-control rubbish foisted on us by the monolithic media? Granted, there's a lot of equally useless crap out there, like teenagers lighting farts and such, but we control the clicks and the time and the content we will consume.
And a growing number of folks are opting for intelligent, informative content that by-passes the couch-potato crowd and adds quality to our limited amount of free time.
This is the revolution of which I often speak here. Since the introduction of the radio set and the on-air soap operas, mystery shows and gangster goop a century ago, we the people have been immobile and willing victims of a technology turned against us.
Finally, at the moment when the monolithic media thought that they'd be springing the final trap with hundreds of channels, 3-D, HiDef, digital pablum, the crowd is turning away. We have become jaded, overwhelmed and under-served by all this rubbish pawned off as entertainment. And we're turning it off in growing numbers.
Think about the true depth of the revolution. In the 80s, when I was getting my degree in media, you needed a massive camera, backpack recorder and a crew of three or more just to capture the video. Then you had to have a million-dollar suite of machines to edit tape-to-tape, then the distribution was tightly controlled by the very few broadcast outlets that had very limited open slots for which you competed with hundreds of other producers.
Now, I can capture far better video using a tablet that has a couple of dozen other functions, as well, and fits in a satchel. When I have the raw footage, I can transfer the files to my laptop where I can edit, sweeten, add titles and animation, and any other content I want. Then I can upload it to any number of free sites or my own server and distribute it to the entire world. And all with a crew of one for roughly $10,000, hardware and software included.
And I'm not limited to that. I can write and publish books, news sites, entertainment in any media all from my humble little home office in Jakarta, or even the LFS World Headquarters in Borneo and South Java. All with a crew of one for an amortized investment of roughly $2,000 per year over five years.
Simply revolutionary.
And this is only the open market. There are many dark basements on the internet where even more subversive content lurks, though subversive is only a matter of perspective. Speaking out against government idiocy and corruption is subversive in many jurisdictions.
The raw power now available and in the hands of the masses is astounding by historical measures. The access to real information and knowledge is beyond comparison. The ability of the individual to affect real change is magnified beyond all traditional means of control. And this genie can't be recanted. It is out in the wild and short of shutting down every possible outlet by pulling the power plug on the globe, it can't be stopped.
And perhaps that's why 'they' push global warming and limited resources so hard. It is their one trump card left. The only way they can stop, at least in their minds, this revolution is to literally pull the plug.
This revolution is taking place in the minds of the masses. It is not a shooting war. It is not a destructive event. It is nothing like what has come before.
It is the revolution of ideas.
'They' are trying very hard to make it a shooting war because they can win that one. When it comes to the war of ideas and attitudes the field of battle is much harder to define, much less engage the enemy.
The article that opened this screed is an admission on the part of the monolithic media that they are losing the war, and that they have no idea how to turn the tide back in their favor. The front is far too broad and as deep as the imagination can go. There is no longer a single rabbit hole to fall into, but millions.
To join this revolution requires a single, stunning act of defiance: turn it off. Become a Zero TeeVee-er!

In The Course Of Human Events
So, here I was, scanning the headlines from around the globe, as is my wont after a long day. Suddenly, I got this overwhelming feeling that the Revolution has begun.
Some time back, I wrote about the feeling that we were all waiting on a Texas norther. They blow though with a literal wall of blackness. In front of them, it's hot and still. Flies gather thick as blankets on the backs of cows. The air is nearly malleable and hard to breathe. It's fluid like oatmeal.
Then instantly, the sky turns yellow-green and the wind howls like a Wilhelm Scream. The rain falls as if sprayed from fire hoses, and the wind carries is sideways. The smell of ozone and a knife-like chill hit you like a slap upside the head.
That's what it feels like right now.
I'm not sure what exactly is causing this feeling. Maybe it's Sarkozy's slow-motion swift kick in the ass. Maybe it's Ron Paul winning a new state every other day now, despite the LSM ignoring the tidal wave of Republican chairpersons and committees and delegates being caused by Paulian true believers.
Or could it be the long-anticipated armed troops in US neighborhoods? Or that the Man O' Peace had to sneak into Afghanistan under cover of darkness to give a 15 minute speech on how he personally killed Usama bin Ladin...a man already dead for 10 years? Or could it be Bolivia nationalizing the Spanish power grid?
Perhaps its the general sense of disgust almost everyone seems to be expressing against all governments everywhere. Or NATO's invasion of Chicago. It could be that someone was actually arrested for the BP slaughter of the Gulf of Mexico. Or that Californians are starting to see radiation through the fog of Mother Nature.
Most likely, it is a combination of all these things. It's like the moments before a tsunami. The ocean disappears while across the horizon, a wall of water seems to be growing larger by the second. Or a movie version of a boiler start to blow. You see it puff up and the seams begin to pop and steam shoot out of every crook and cranny.
I really hard to get 7 billion people riled up all at once. The used to call America the "sleeping giant". They told us that in high school history. Pearl Harbor woke the sleeping giant. Well, it seems that something is stirring every human on the planet now. You might have noticed how these color revolutions are starting to go the wrong way. Seems that folks aren't happy with just changing butts in chairs anymore. Now they want real, honest to God change...of Everything.
I guess when it comes right down to it, the feeling is coming from watching the whole Ron Paul ordeal. No one was prepared for a large number of people who have figured out that the voting means absolutely nothing. It's the smoke-filled back rooms where the real power is.
These people care absolutely nothing about voting and media and all the other mind-control techniques. They've studied the problem for a long time and found the chink in the armor.
Many of the American states have a two-tiered election process for president. One tier is the actual lever-pulling vote, which hasn't meant of thing for decades. It's just a circus for the media to make everyone think they were choosing candidates.
The action is in the second tier. These are the caucuses that begin after the polls close. Each precinct meets to choose delegates to the district convention, which meets to choose delegates to the state convention, which meets to choose delegates to the national convention, which chooses the candidate for president. It's a month's long process and much too slow for the media or most couch potatoes.
The PTW have controlled, for all intents and purposes, the world because no one would get off their Blessed Assurances and go through the caucus system, other than the jerks who have run the country (and the world) into the dirt.
The Paulians are like the Occupy movement, except they aren't wasting their time on things like protests, which have no effect whatsoever. Instead, they are taking over party committees and chairmanships. They are storming the state party leaderships and implanting themselves in the positions where their efforts can actually change things.
See, Ron Paul isn't the real focus. He's a rallying point to be sure, but this is a revolution of ideas. The people he has activated want a change at the most fundamental levels of society. It's not about butts in chairs. For that, you can look at the empty campaigns of ObamaRomney.
Those latter two are just meat puppets. They have no philosphies and believe in nothing but their own aggrandizement. Obama is a complete fabrication, from his birth certificate to his 'memoir' girlfriend who never was. Romney is a used car salesman who has chopped human beings up over a lunch deal and was sipping martinis in Martha's Vineyard by sundown.
Paul doesn't talk like a politician. His ideas don't fit in a ten-second sound byte. He doesn't present new curtains for the same old windows. He's pumping deep, fundamental change. Not more war, but a complete recall of the US military. Instead of an endless precession of 'czars', a slashing of entire Cabinet-level departments. Not just raising or lowering cash handouts to buy friends, but cutting off the free-flow crack altogether. Not just massaging the Federal Reseave and 'monetary policy,' shutting the doors and sending the IRS packing. Oh, and by golly, if watching all that go on makes you want to spark up, well by all means do so.
And it's not just America. It's happening in Europe, where the PTW are trying desperately to steer everyone into one of the controlling parties, but people aren't buying it. Greece will have elections shortly, and you can bet things will get a thorough dusting off. France...ditto. In Egypt, they still aren't done. As soon as it looks like the same old jerks are taking over again, the people get right back out on the streets. Syria. Iraq, Afghanistan. China. Vietnam. Indonesia. All over South America.
For those of us who have been watching and waiting for years to see this day, it is here. The Revolution has begun. It's not on the radar yet. The media are doing their best to hide it and isolate the people of the world. But the tides have shifted and they aren't going to stop now. In fact, everything the PTW do from here on to stop the wave will only make it larger and more powerful.
It's not going to be fast, though in hindsight, it will have appeared to have swept the globe in minutes. There's going to be a lot of pain. No one will get to the other side without a story to tell. The Paulians are a microcosm of what's going on across the entire planet.
You might want to get a better stance and grab onto something. Texas northers are wild and exciting, but they aren't without the occasional property damage.
Folks have finally caught sight of the slaughter house and realized they've been following a Judas goat.
Some time back, I wrote about the feeling that we were all waiting on a Texas norther. They blow though with a literal wall of blackness. In front of them, it's hot and still. Folks have finally caught sight of the slaughter house and realized they've been following a Judas goat.

Sliding Doors
I don't know if you've been following the work of Clif High and his Web Bot Project at halfpasthuman.com. I've been reading the output since 2002, and I have found them to be rather prescient, though not always as advertised.
One of the major events that have shown up repeatedly over the past several years is something Clif calls the Data Gap. In the past year, he has narrowed the timing for this event down to this spring, with the leading edge showing up around next week or so.
In a nutshell, the Data Gap is a massive turning point in human history, after which life will not be the same for at least half a dozen years (as far as the bots can read out, in other words). It's enough to have spooked Clif and his commentaries have taken a darker turn.
Certainly, scanning the news headlines this past week would lead one to conclude that such a thing is entirely possible. Oil and gold prices have shot up, with $6/gallon gasoline a distinct possibility in the States before long. The saber-rattling over Iran and Syria has significantly ramped up. The recent US presidential debate took a decidedly nasty turn, though not all that unusual in what passes as public discourse in that country. The world in general is polarizing Over all, we can see a fair increase in the amount of tension building at every level.
Whitney Houston died and people got rather testy over who sat where and was allowed in to the memorial service. Sacha Baron Cohen was banned from the Oscars. A two-bit actor admitted tooting blow at a White House function. The Occupiers are threatening armed marches on Wall Street. Anonymous is making its presence felt at a great number of websites. Rense and Makow are at each other's throats. Labor unrest is building in Indonesia. Greek protests are getting more desperate. Russia appears to be having some unrest in the ranks. Germany is dealing with a neo-Nazi dust-up.
Everywhere you look, tensions are building, and this fits quite snugly with Clif's work, which shows a massive build-up to roughly March 1-9, with a blow-off top and roll into release language the likes of which our generation has never witnessed. One can hardly debate that there are increasingly unsustainable emotional, economic, social, and political bubbles everywhere. One can imagine them all popping more or less simultaneously, with life-changing consequences.
One thing I've learned about the Web Bots over the years is don't try to come up with a scenario to fit the language. It is almost always wrong, even though the actual events fit perfectly with what was predicted.
For example, they predicted a maritime disaster a few years back, and while everyone was watching the shipping lanes, the space shuttle blew up over Texas. The language had to do with ships and naval terms, which are commonly used in reference to space hardware, as well.
A recent example was language refering to a wreck of the ship of state and hints about Italy. The cruise ship grounding filled all the descriptors, but folks were watching governments, having wrongly interpreted the variou terms that had come through.
So what will happen in the next couple of weeks. Well, sorry to disappoint, but as I said, I've given up trying to predict what events will fill the bill. One thing that can be speculated upon is that the language calls for massive release of tension worldwide involving natural, economic, political, social, and emotional releases. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that global events are ripe for something like this to happen.
Things that are implied by the bots include changes in the seas and coastal areas, events in space, earthquakes, an "Israeli mistake," disease epidemics, and the list goes on. I give it about a 50-50 chance of being right, first because the bots are as much wrong as right (though in all fairness they get the big stuff right), second because timing is not one of the strong points of the web bots, and third because humans can make choices.
Back in 1998, a rather interesting movie came out called "Sliding Doors," with Gweneth Paltrow. The premise was that a woman's life splits at a key moment that's as mundane as catching a train. From there, the story splits and shows the outcomes of both catching and not catching a certain train.
The movie points out both the choices we make, and those made for us. There are always choices. Often people allow others to make their choices, because they are too lazy or frightened to make their own.
If we suspect impending disaster, we can choose to prepare or not. When governments get out of hand, we can choose to resist or not. When personal relationships become strenuous, we can choose to stay in them or get out.
Too often, we choose the devil we know, or the status quo. For some reason, people fight change, though it is an intricate part of life in every aspect. We get comfortable in our routines, no matter how absurd, because we've learned to deal with that particular set of variables. Something new requires us to learn, adapt and adjust. Most of us don't like that.
In a week or two, we may find that none of the familiar rules apply any more. Every aspect of our routines will have changed, regardless of whether the new situation is good, bad or indifferent, and we won't like it. Those who thrive in this kind of situation are the ones who give up the old way of thinking the fastest and look for new opportunities in the jumble of new variables.
When you think about it, 'preppers' are really those who are working the hardest to maintain the old way of doing things. Rather than preparing to change, they are preparing to maintain. This can cause people to be much slower at seeing and seizing new opportunities.
When change of the magnitude predicted by the web bots comes along, nothing of the old way of doing things will help in the new paradigm. The best way to prepare for this kind of change is to let go and detach from current habits and needs, and start thinking along whole new avenues of possibilities. Those prepared to let go the fastest and adjust to new currents are the ones most likely to come out on top.
Most important to survival is one's mental state. Those who fear change have already lost the battle. It's the normalcy bias that we've discussed at length here at LFS. Most people will cling to what they know and resist change with all their might until it takes more resources than they have to fight it. By the time these people give up and go with the flow, those who embraced the change are miles ahead.
Regardless of web bots, it is a foregone conclusion that the world is changing rapidly. Almost nothing in the current regime can be sustained much longer. We have built our pyramid upside down, and it won't be long before it teeters over and crushes those who are deperately trying to hold it up.
The true 'preppers' are walking away from this losing battle and looking for fresh direction and an expanded horizon. We have entered an era of inevitable change, and those who recognize it and go with it first will be the ones who profit first. The Chinese word for 'disaster' is composed of two characters meaning 'chaos' and 'opportunity'.
When it all comes crashing down, there are those who lament what has passed, and those who see raw materials for a fresh start. The first direction leads to death, and the second to life. Choose a path and start prepping.

Embracing Insanity
There's so many significant things going on in the world today, it's hard to stay focused on anything. The global auto industry is about to be brought to its knees by flooding in Thailand. Jesse Ventura has vowed to leave the States and kick the dust from his shoes on the way out. Fukushima is threatening to poison the entire planet. A half-kilometer wide space rock will buzz the Earth and Moon in a couple of days. The COMEX has reportedly raised margins to 100%. And any pretense that the US and EU support democracy is now gone, as they put the thumb-screws on Greece to cancel a referendum on EU membership.
It's a special kind of insanity going on. A nation with at least 300 nukes is threatening to go to war with another for the possibility that maybe they have thought about perhaps making some nukes of their own. The war, of course, is completely unprovoked, and is backed by other nations with several thousand nukes of their own.
The US's mortal enemy al Qaeda has taken over Libya and raised its flag over the government buildings. Since insanity is the rule now, al Qaeda is now the US's best friend in North Africa, while still shooting at them in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is progress?
Does this strike anyone else as just freakin' nuts? Or am I alone here in seeing so much strangeness and hypocracy? Those are rhetorical questions, of course. Obviously, readers of this blog are excepted from the ranks of the insane.
Heck, we've got a measles outbreak among supposedly vaccinated people in Canada. We've got legal, authorized prescription pain-killers killing more people in the US than cocaine and heroin combined. We've got Gardasil crippling and maiming teenage girls all over the place.
There's a spreading 'Occupy' movement protesting the financial system by calling for global governance and monetary controls. The Vatican, which normally takes 400 or 500 years to get around to anything, has jumped on that bandwagon. Meanwhile, MF Global, Solyndra and AIG are all dying and taking a lot of hard-earned money with them
And Andy Rooney died. Apparently, the world was SO absurd, that it killed him trying to make sense of it all.
One person that always makes me feel better, though, is Clif High at halfpasthuman.com. His latest interview lets us know that no matter how crazy it is now, it will get worse.
Then there's the 9,000-year-old Caucasian mummy found in Nevada. Kind of blows pretty much every theory of human development out the window in one fell swoop. The local Indian tribe is, naturally, reticent to allow DNA testing, since it may blow their claim to First Inhabitants out the window, as well.
Even my sister got married for the first time, at the tender age of 41. This is a certain sign that the End of the World is at hand!
I've even started doing voice-over work again. Now you KNOW the world is in deep trouble!
It seems the tide is rising, at least figuratively. As we approach those weird dates of 11/9 and 11/11, people just seem to be wigging out. It just feels like folks are getting to the point where they just don't care any more. Why fake civility and hope when you can form up a mob and scare the hell out of Detroit bus drivers?
The facade of peace and plenty is quickly being stripped away, and what's left are a bunch of fat banksters in the center picking the human flesh from their rotted teeth. As we've seen throughout history, when things get lean and tough, people look around to see who's still eating, and they attack. For the past millennium, it's been the banksters, of course. You'd think after a thousand years, we would have figured it out by now. More to the point, you'd think the banksters would have figured it out and taken more precautions in hiding their crimes.
Sometimes I wish the world would hurry up and jst get it over with, but when I think of the horrors on mass upheavals in past civilizations, and then multiply that by a truly global scale, it's not something to look forward to. Real revolutions destroy everything in an orgy of blood. They tear down to the roots all that came before in a bid to excavate the ills of the old regime. The world hasn't seen something like that since Mao Tse Dung or Pol Pot.
We are standing at one of the cruces in history, where dozens of threads have come together at one time to cause massive upheaval. The crumbling ruins of the former financial system, along with the ossified remains of intolerant and inflexible governing models are battling each other to the bottom. At the same time, the standards of civilization that underpin our collective view of the world are imploding. Religion, law and common courtesy are colliding.
All of this makes acts such as Jesse Ventura's denunciation of the US terror state, all the more poignant. He is washing his hands of one out-of-control fascist state and moving to another. In the end, there is nowhere to go. The cancer of modern political entities has metastasized worldwide. There is no place safe enough or far enough away. It comes in the form of drones and missiles and projected force to every corner of the globe. The merchants of death and masters of war can not stop themselves. They are without restraint or moral compass. Their banquet is the bones of the patriot and the blood of the innocent.
In the end, the slime will darken every stoop. We must face the problem square on, because normal is no more. We must decide which side we are on and proceed into the darkness. There is no other way. People are desparately clinging to anything that seems normal and routine, but those things are mere illusions floating in a sea of change. The one who will survive are the ones who let go of what has always been, and embrace whatever is to come.
It would be nice to think that things can still be fixed, but at some point, people seem to accept whatever course they are on, because to change it would risk too much. The irony is that by not risking everything up front, we risk it all in the end. At some time or another, we will all be forced to choose, and by then the battle is already lost.
There is no such thing as normal, as a quick scan of the headlines will tell you. There is only refusal to see the truth. Sure Ron Paul could be elected and things could change radically for the better, but bracing one's self for the storm is a more effective and realistic approach. The old saying is, "Prepare for the worst and hope for the best."
What really screws with your head is whether preparing for the worst is actually causing the problem? After all, is that a form of capitulation?

Shot Heard 'Round The Block
US: After you.
EU: Oh, no. I couldn't.
US: I insist.
EU: Pleas, after you.
US: Oh, nonono, that won't do.
EU: Let's go together!
US: OK.
**CRUNCH**
The Battle of Brooklyn Bridge got underway over the weekend, with the owners of the bridge trying to cross, and the bankster henchmen, I mean NYPD stopping them.
My dad always said that when the revolution gets under way, you'd better have the cops on your side. I don't think he envisioned JP Morgan blatantly paying a $4.6 million bribe, I mean making donations NYPD.
One ray of hope were the military types who are showing up to help out with Occupy Wall Street. Of course, they are harder to bribe and their bennies are being ripped off by the very organizations being protested.
The unions are showing up, as well. But, according to Drudge, they're chanting "Re-elect Obama!" Which can only mean one thing: there are political operatives and agitators infiltrating the ranks, most likely as agents provacateur, and certainly to steal the limelight from real people demanding something be done to curb the bandits in 3-piece suits.
The protests are spreading, to Boston, to LA, to Seattle. Folks are finally targeting the real criminals, but it remains to be seen what the outcome will be. I put NOTHING beyond the banksters to cover their Blessed Assurances.
Meanwhile, the EU corpse has already begun to rot, even though it's still in the midst of St. Vitus' Dance. Folks are beginning to realize that there will be no resurrection from the grave. Germany has already begun to rake in its marbles to go home. France is pretending like anyone still listens to them. The PIIGS are desperately trying to find a move out of checkmate. And all Britain cares about is whether Kate is preggers or not.
In Asia today, the markets were whipped bloody, with Hang Seng getting hung snug. Jakarta is senseless and bleeding. The only one who escapes was Seoul, because they were on holiday. But they've already been hit so hard that there's not much left to take.
Globally, everyone is holding their breath, both from the stink and from the anticipation. Who will be the first to shoot. You know it's inevitable. These things always end in a bloody mess. Anyone who isn't making contingency plans for that eventuality had better wean themselves off the Xanax bars. Short of an alien attack or the Second Coming, there's no other way out of this mess. Wherever you are now, that's probably where you'll be when the real nasty starts.
You can rest assured that if JP Morgan is willing to bribe the entire NYPD to get their way, then there are no holds barred here, folks. Lines are being drawn and one should put serious though to which side of it one stands on. In this next go-round, there won't be any neutrals or third-parties. There will only be closer and farther away. Sooner or later, every heart and every mind will be involved.
Most of us don't remember WWII. Unlike most Gen Xers, my parents were Depression Era/WWII. My grandfather was a SeaBee in WWI. So where most of my contemporaries had parent of the Korean War variety, my second-hand education stretches back just a bit further. And it's not a pretty picture.
My dad got his first pair of new shoes at 12 years old. His toys, as a youth, were things that he and his friends made from found items. One was called a 'nigger shooter.' It was a pistol-shaped piece of wood with a clothes pin attached and a handful of cut-up inner tube. Another didn't have a name that I remember, but it also used a clothes pin, a broken knife blade, and would launch a strike-ahywhere kitchen match a fair distance while striking it at the same time.
Dad served his time on the home front as a general's aide de camp, but his best friend and one of his brothers served under Patton. Another brother was in the Pacific. The third was in the second wave at Normandy. All survived. Between them and my grandfather, I got an earful about the gloom in those days.
What's coming makes all that look like spring training, and we don't have half the skills and inventiveness they did. How many people do you know, including yourself, still save jelly jars for glassware? How many know how to can fruits and vegetables? Who can sew, or even has the tools to do it? Anyone out there with a root cellar? Does anyone out there know what an ice box is, or how to churn butter, or even where to get fresh whole milk to churn? Do you know how to make farm cheese? Can you hunt and field dress an animal?
If you answered no to most or all of these questions, you're in deep shit.
How about some other skills? Can you navigate by the sun and stars? Which side of a tree does moss grow on (in the northern hemispere)? Which mushrooms are edible? What medicinal plants grow in your area?
Believe it or not, I learned all of this stuff, mostly from my dad and his brothers. The navigating I learned myself. When I first arrived in Indonesia, I started studying the local flora. I know that if I get dengue fever, I need to chew guava leaf, that sort of thing.
Yes, I'm strange, but I may get a bit further down the road than some.
What does all this have to do with protests in Brooklyn, you ask? Well, that's the opening salvo. It's the 'shot heard round the block.' It will escalate, more than likely at the hands of the PTB, but folks will answer. It always starts like this. While you have a minute, go read up on Lexington and Concord. See if you don't detect a few parallels. Soon we'll have the Blockade of Charleston. The only real question is "when". My guess is it's close enough now that you can open the office betting pool. Closest to the actual date wins 1,000 rounds of ammo.
Poppyboy and Dad used to go on about the coming revolution. They would fill my head with signs and portends of the coming storm. They would tell me which things had always worked throughout history, and which didn't. In a way, Fate has prepared me for this time, if for no other reason than to be able to sit here and tell you, "Watch out!"
Perhaps not. But that's beside the point.
The point is that IT has begun. There is no escaping that conclusion. You should be preparing your heart and mind and your household for the eventuality. Wishful thinking and willful blindness can not and will not change the course of history.
If there is one ray of hope, it is that the PTB are genuinely afraid. It is getting out of their control, and they eat control for breakfast. Like any cornered beast, they will fight with a ferocity that I think most folks are ill-prepared to face. Clif High at HalfPastHuman.com calls it the 'normalcy bias.' Folks will deny their own senses until they are run over by the train at the end of the tunnel.
If you did not grow up in the Age of Political Correctness and were not taught that being male is wrong, then you probably played army when you were a strapling. Remember how you used to strain your senses to catch any sign of someone approaching? That's where you should be right now.
For God's sake, turn off the TeeVee. You can't think clearly when someone is telling you what to think. You must READ all your news. Reading involves a lot of filters and engaged cognitive function. It won't take long before you can start reading through the words. Don't wait. Start today.
Everything you know is about to change. You can either stell yourself for it or let it smear you into the pavement. Your choice.
EU: Oh, no.

Jaya Riot
Ever have one of those days where there's so much to think about that it's hard to think about anything?
Sometimes I dread writing, because things come out that spook me. Like the other day I posted the Dog Days of August piece, where I joked about Putin and Perry and the SEAL fiasco. Two days later, right on cue, there's a photo of Putin after finding Geek vases while diving. Perry suddenly comes on big time with the religion thing. The SEAL story gets changed and bios are released. Obama even goes to receive the bodies personally.
It's amazing how predictable this stuff is, if you know what to look for.
I mean, you've got financial markets going nuts, wars and rumors of wars, people admitting they personally fabricated the POTUS birth certificate, the price of gold going ballistic, and nascent global revolutions.
The revolutions are the the things sticking in my craw the most, I suppose. Really, we should be more selective with our words, since we are trying to deprogram our minds here. These global events are NOT really revolutions. They are the ultimate product of welfare states and manipulation by banksters and media.
What we are seeing are a bunch of gangsters expressing their displeasure with not having taxpayers buy them the latest XBox/Nintendo/360 what-evers. In other words, all the death and destruction is little more than temper tantrums by mentally and emotionally stunted welfare rats. Those bipedal animals are nothing more than an army of convenience, bought and paid for with your tax dollars and 'trained' by the public school system.
I say, 'trained,' but the truth is more like 'dis-educated'. I just made up that word, so remember where you got it.
The whole thing is a planned set of events designed to create tyranny. It is the hegelian dialect in process. It's already begun, with the UK rolling out face-recognition toys on the streets and in the neighborhoods. It's all the fault of the internet and 'social' media. Cameron has called for limitations on the internet.
Of course, in a country where you have to pay an annual TeeVee tax, what do you expect?
The riots are nothing more than the old mafia protection racket writ large. Governments for centuries have maintained a welfare class for just this purpose. To paraphrase George Carlin, 'the poor are there to scare the shit out of the middle class to keep them working to support the elite class.' I think the truth of that is splattered all over the media at this point.
The Indonesian newspaper Kompas, is blessedly free of political correctness issues. They (and I use direct translation here) lay it all at the feet of the 'black skins,' but there's enough blame to cover the 'yellow,' 'brown' and 'white' skins, as well. I really love that Indonesian is a very blunt language. It's just no bullshit-straight to the point.
Perhaps that's what's wrong with the West just now. It's too easy to hide things in English. Too many subtle shades and weasel words. If you're able to flavor your thinking with so many options, you reach the pinnacle of language manipulation, called government.
But that's another article.
I get the sense that people are slowly starting to see the Big Picture. From what I scan on the net, the masses just aren't buying it anymore. When you can get an Indonesian to discuss politics, to a man they see the 'man behind the curtain.' They are not fooled by Libya or Afghanistan, and bin Laden, as well. And the markets couldn't be less interesting to them. I think they represent a very large segment of the world.
And that's the point here. When you step outside the constant barrage of media and look back, there's a much larger world. All the wailing and gnashing of teeth that if America goes down, it takes the whole world with it. Sorry, don't think so. Westerners tend to have a very inflated view of their importance, but really, they are a small minority of the world population. I get the distinct impression that if EurAm tree were to die off, the smaller trees in the forest could get some much needed light.
I mean, come on. Westerners have been wondering around sticking flags in everything and calling it 'mine' since the 1400s. After they raped and pillaged and looted and plundered, they left and forgot about the 'colonies' until one day, they stood up and said enough.
If you're wondering what REAL GlobalRev is about, it will be a complete rejection of the "Western Paradigm." You will see people attacking the real sources of the Problem, not each other. There's no doubt it's coming. I can feel it. But it will be against the producers of these faux revolutions: the colors, the springs, that sort of thing.
The problem with weltanshauungs is that they die violent deaths. People don't let got of their delusions easily. The Western elite have gotten used to sitting on top of the Hill. They have come to believe their own BS. At the core, though, they are nothig more than petty thieves and gangsters who have stolen the king's clothes and are parading around in front of the mirror.
After a while, you get so busy protecting what you've got, you forget that you got it by having nothing to protect. At that point, you have the ouroboros, the snake eating its tail. The body starts eating itself in an ironic bid to stay alive.
If we study history, we can see this stuff coming a mile away. It's as predictable as night follows day. Nero fiddling while Rome burned is exactly what's happening in the so-called revolutions breaking out across the globe. "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows."
The ultimate point here is, yes, the riots are causing a tragic loss of life and property, but be careful where you lay the blame. The people committing these acts are little more than mindless animals. They are being kept by a group of ruthless folks who will destroy anything to protect their little pile of gold. Once we peel back the curtain, we clearly see the withered, putrefying corpse of a long-dead idea.
That idea spawned a great many things, and used correctly they are quite valuable. But the idea has reached a dead-end. It's become so drenched in lies and secrets that it must now destroy anyone who can find it. That anyone is us.
Remember HAL in Kubrick's 2001? He killed the crew in order to prevent them from finding the truth about the mission. It's the logical conclusion to a lie or a secret. One must eliminate the risk of being found out. We are the risk.
Like Western medial treatments for cancer, it's a race against time. Can the doctor kill the cancer before he kills the patient? We have been injected with a lethal dose, because the elite see us as a cancer. They, being the megalomaniacs they are, are trying to wipe us out without killing them, too. So, we have to wonder, which will go first? The cancer or the patient? And the deeper question, is the patient worthy of saving? Damn these philosophical moral judgments.
The time has come to use a whole lot of perspective, a healthy dash of truth, and keep on lovin' throught the pain.

GlobalRev And The Pig's Lipstick
Clif High over at HalfPastHuman (link in sidebar) and his amazing webbots have been predicting for some years now that we are seeing a 'global revolution.'
According to the various theorems put forward by Clif and George Ure (UrbanSurvival, also linked in the sidebar), the longer an event is seen in FutureTime, and the more references to body parts, the more profound and widespread will be the actual event. The various ALTA and Shape of Things to Come (SOTTC) reports over the years have predicted a massive shake-up in the way things are. Reading the language takes a little emotional input by the reader. One must not only READ the words, but FEEL them.
With that in mind, my take on GlobalRev is that we ain't seen nothing yet. Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, and the rest are just the PTB/W (what I call THEY so I don't give them any credit for having power) changing kommandants at a few stalags, slapping some paint on the barracks and planting some bushes around the camp office. In effect, THEY are adding blusher and mascara to the pig's lipstick to pacifiy the inmates and release a little tension.
We ain't seen nothin' yet.
When it comes, it will be deeper and bigger than anything we living folks have ever known. It will shake the very foundations of our assumptions. It will change our realities.
I don't see any of that in the headlines. The real revolution is happening far below the radar of MSM and our common reality.
Real revolutions destroy everything. They completely dismantle what came before and replace it with something entirely new. The last time that occured was in the 1700s, with an echo in the early 1900s, with the Bolsheviks, though that was a carefully controlled and orchestrrated event.
The founding of the United States was a major change in world order. It's rrepurcussions were felt all over Europe and led ultimately to the World Wars and the downfall of the various royal houses. It was a change that upset the order of things that had existed for centuries. It changed the world at the deepest levels.
The Founders tried, in their massive wisdom, to institute revolution as an ongoing process. They tried to create an unshakable foundation of Law, over which the walls could be torn down and rebuilt as necessary.
However, creatures like political parties sprung up and slowly started making the walls, and then the roof impervious to change. Today, the process is little more than changing butts in seats, which is then hailed by the lapdog press as being 'profound change.' Yet, the same ol' same ol' just continues day to day, with no real change occuring.
The same process has creeped into global politics. THEY took their success at corralling the US system and rubber stamped it all over the world. Now, leaders at the highest levels of pretty much any government can be swapped out like tires on your car, but THEY are still behind the wheel, driving us all to ruin.
Nay, the REAL GlobalRev, which IS coming, if you know where to look, will be of an order that schoolchildren three hundred years hence will learn about in the same context as 'the shot heard round the world.' It will first challenge, then destroy the current order of things, and when it's done, nothing you know now will be the same.
So, what do I think the GlobalRev will look like?
My feeling is that it's going to destroy all the barriers between people and their governance. It will be a complete re-think of are and want to be governed. There will be no borders, per se, nor visas nor IDs or anything of that nature. Governance will devolve down to the most intimate of levels: the family and the village/neighborhood. Everyone will watch their own and the concept of 'authorities' and 'institutions' will cease to be the ruling paradigm.
The age-old idea of 'a man's home is his castle' will come to full fruition. People will first concern themselves with matters of home and hearth, then their immediate surroundings. After that, there won't be much need for anything larger. The concept of Natural Law and Rights will become universal, and protecting them will be the responsibility of the individual, through 'enlighten self-interest.'
The internet will be our primary source of news and information, and each individual will report and consume the work of others, as they see fit. Having corporate 'middle-men' as 'gate-keepers' on our information will become an antiquated notion. Education will be done at home, or at most, at the community level. No cookie-cutter propaganda assembly lines called schools.
The corporation, as a creature of law, will die. There will be no such thing. Individuals will create and trade as individuals, taking full responsibility for their products and actions. Evey home on every street will be its own business, trading products and serives on the internet, with the free market determining the value.
All trade will be done through barter or electronic gold (e-gold). Yes, it will be digital, but if you need your gold in physical form, you just pop over to the distribution center and withdraw your metal. No reserves, no fractionals, no bullshit.
Oh, sure...this all sounds utopian and pie-in-the-sky. How it will all work out is for all of us to figure out. I'm just trying to make the point that the REAL revolution that's coming will leave the world a much different place than it is now. Changing stalag kommadants is NOT a revolution, it's a shake-up of management. Happens all the time at corporate headquarters.
The REAL revolution will be a mass awakening, a completely new way of looking at things. It could even be a new age, though I hesitiate to use that term, because it's been hi-jakced by corporate interests to funnel people into the proper chutes.
The REAL revolution will take years, decades or even a century to go through. Dismatling EVERYTHING and figuring out new ways of doing things will take some time. And it's not going to be peaches and cream, either.
THEY will fight it tooth and nail. THEY will not give up their cushy puppetmaster position easily. It's been to lucrative for them. THEY will do anything to stop it, divert it, squash it, and defuse it. Egypt is their playbook at work. Watch, listen and learn. The bastards are vicious, and THEY have already proven that life means nothing to them. THEY will destroy anyone and anything that threatens their little operation. After all, THEY've spent centuries building their little empires, plotting, calculating. THEY aren't just going to look dejected and walk away like the kid who didn't get picked for dodge ball.
However, their reaction will only further re-enforce in the popular mind the absolute necessity of ridding the planet of this infection.
Hosni Mubarak did his job dutifully as manager of the Egypt department for 30 years. Here's your pin and a check. So long and thanks for all the mummies. Now THEY are taking resumes to replace the butt in the chair. THEY may hire from within, or bring in some new blood. We'll see.
But, it's NOT a revolution, sorry. Neither was Tunisia, nor any other little skirmish coming along.
When it comes, the GlobalRev will be a metaphorical tidal wave sweeping the Earth clean and literally starting over. It will be a change not only in how we are, but who we are as a phylum.
It's nothing new. It has been going on since the fall of Rome. A nick here, a notch there. Sometimes a whole chunk comes down. But, slowly, the GlobalRev has been occuring for centuries.
In this respect, the webbots aren't predicting the future, only trending history out a few years. Anyone with a library and the will to read and learn can do the same.
What Clif's work does do, and George's horn-blowing, is wake folks up to the inevitable. Most folks slide through life, payday to payday, not looking at the stream in which their life is flowing. Once in a while, a large boulder and some six-foot standing waves can be seen on the horizon, and slowly folks pull their heads up out of the stream and notice.
In this respect, the webbots are the first alarm, and they are causing folks to look ahead and notice the rapids approaching. Many folks will put their beads back down and worry about it when they get there. Others will begin lashing down the provisions and getting the oars in the water.
Some people will stumble through on dumb luck. Others will prepare and be wiped out. That is life. Can't do much about Universe's little jokes. But, odds favor the prepared mind, so better to see the rapids, I figure.
Clif's SOTTC reports are $10 apiece, downloadable in PDF format. George's site features a free daily economics report, Monday thru Friday, with weekend special reports for subscribers, at $40/year. Either one or both certainly help push the odds in favor of the prepared mind.
So, with oars in the water and provisions lashed down, here we go into the Brave New World. If you are one of THEM, sorry bub, but your free rise is coming to an end.
But YOU know that already, don't you?
